I’ll check the instructions and part counts later to make sure everyone is all there and assembled. No containers, but that’ll be a Bricklink problem.

Great haul or what?

I think I’ve calculated the best Poker Night 3 Roster.

I’ve been playing Poker Night a lot since the remaster came out, and I’ve been thinking about it a lot. Whoever does it, Telltale, Skunkape, AdHoc, whatever, I think I’ve figured it out.

Every roster is indicative of the time. The first game has a Valve Character, Two Webcomic Characters, and a Telltale Property. That would be The Heavy, Tycho, Strong Bad, and Max. When this game released, webcomics were “the shit”. But we mustn’t forget The Dealer, who was Reginald Van Winslow from Monkey Island, which was also a Telltale property at the time.

In the second game the roster had changed. There was an Adult Swim Character, a Borderlands Character, A Movie Character, and a Telltale Character. Though I should say that the following year Borderlands would have a game made by Telltale, so I’m counting at as one of theirs, plus it was only included because BL2 had special items. Plus a Valve Character, as the dealer. Brock Samson, Claptrap, Ash Williams, and Sam. And GLaDOS as the dealer. That said, Reginald and Max got cameos. So Cameos were more plentiful.

The distribution for 5 characters, was 2-2-1, and 2-2-1. I’m counting Ash and Brock together, as they are both adult entertainment, movies and animation. I’m making the post, I dictate the flimsy justification. But that’s the perfect ratio. 2-2-1.

Now I have to determine what those numbers are. Valve, Telltale (or whomever) and… Independent Animation. Webcomics are out, Indie Animation is the new hotness. Plus, two Telltale* characters, and a Valve character. But who? Well, let’s start with the dealer. The dealer should be the least culturally relevant of the bunch. Apparently Poker Night 2 was gonna have the Medic, before being replaced with Sam.
TF2 isn’t relevant much anymore, the game is basically on maintenance mode, despite still being alive, but the cast have really gotten into their characters recently, Rowan Atkin Downes being utterly unhinged with his role as Medic (“not now Heavy, I’m fucking ballin’!”) and since the Medic was snubbed last time, perhaps he’s the dealer. “Mein Gott! A Straight Flush!”
Next up, the animation folks. I’m gonna bring up Smiling Friends, does anyone else consider it independent, despite being shown on Adult Swim? It’s an original IP made up by a bunch of Flash Animation Veterans. The character I think would be the most interesting poker player, is Mr Boss, everyone’s favourite character, ah-hah. He’s quite a character, and most likely to have the most… unhinged stories. Plus Smiling Friends prides itself on having the most variety in blending animation styles, so a 2D character amongst 3D characters would actually be thematically on-brand.
The Amazing Digit- yeah, you all expected this one. It just made a Bajillion Bucks in the theatres. Pomni or Caine, they’re the main faces. I think if you have Mr Boss, you can’t have Caine, you need someone less insane than him. Plus, Pomni can share circus horror stories. Caine can be a cameo. Maybe he’s at the bar.
Telltale, is the hardest one for me to pick, since I don’t know them all that much. Plus, Telltale had that massive restructuring a while back, Skunkape has Sam & Max now, and the original Poker Night games. But there’s a lot of vets, maybe there’s a working relationship between the two, maybe there isn’t. But there’s also AdHoc, who have taken the baton with their acclaimed Dispatch, and AdHoc was working with Telltale over Wolf Among Us 2, before they weren’t. Skunkape hid a Dispatch reference in the Remaster, maybe they’ll team up.
So, my ass pull suggestion will be a Dispatch character, like maybe, the guy Jacksepticeye plays, or the Manbat voiced by Moistcr1tikal. I haven’t played Dispatch, I don’t know their names. And lastly, the main character from the long awaited Wolf Among Us 2. Everyone waited that long, a promotional tie-in might be nice.

And that’s my perfect Poker Night 3 roster. Now the content isn’t important to my post, everyone has their own Roster. Hell, I’d like Ted from Ted, the Series based on Ted, the Movie, as a runner up. So, suggest whatever you wish, just keep in mind the ratio of 2-2-1. Not a fan of animation? Swap it out with a different theming. Maybe you think musicals are a better fit, swap it in. Share ideas everyone.

What if instead...

So, with Megatron being turned into a purple cocoon, there's a lot of assumption he'll turn into Galvatron. Which honestly, too soon. There's also a possibility he'll turn into Maurader Megatron, because Kirkman is such a TF Animated fanboy. But what if... it's a mix of both. Galvatron, Triple Changer.

There's another unreleased toy which only existed in the concept stage (thanks to TFRaw on Twitter for these High Definition Scans) and this toy would have included Megatron, who transforms into Galvatron, and a Gun. Now, this was obviously intended to be like the '86 movie where Megatron is reformatted, but what if instead it's a two-bot situation, where Megatron is fighting for his own body against Gavatron, in a sort of Voldemort situation, from Philosopher's Stone. Or a better example which doesn't contain JK Rowling. It's an interesting idea, because in order to keep the power of the Matrix of Oppression, he must exist as a slave to his Alter-Ego. There was another toy which was a triple changer of Skywarp and Megatron, which again, could be a Voldemort situation to free himself from Galvatron, and lets face it, Skywarp deserves a comeuppance.

Should the Power Rangers Comics receive a Paperback Compendium?

Hello, I love to read comics, but I also love being thorough, and being not-poor. I wanted to read the Boom! Studios Power Rangers comic, because I've heard from numerous people over the years, that it is utterly badass! But that's like, an 8-year long story. And that would be a lot of money. Obviously. So I decided to look into the best way to read it, and my conclusion that the Deluxe Editions, tiny Omnibuses they are, seemed to be the best option. But their limited quantity, hardcover nature, and the fact that the RRP was between £63 and £68, meaning the total range is between £945 and £1020. That's a dent in the bank account, but RRP is what they sold for in-stores. They are no longer in print, so the aftermarket is much higher.

I felt the same way about another comic series, IDW's TMNT, but they started putting out Paperback Compendiums. £55 for 50 issues. Page counts totalling in the 1000's range. I assume they also use cheaper paper quality, smaller print size, but that's neither here nor there, the point is, 50 comics for less. I ran the math, it's £160~ cheaper than getting the TMNT hardcovers, which are £35.99 each. However, those hardcovers also contained all the companion pieces, spin-offs, tie-ins, etc, which got cutout of the compendiums, but if they make another compendium for those, well, it's still £110~ cheaper.

So I decided to apply this math to the Power Rangers comics, the Power Rangers Deluxe Editions seem to be in the 500~ page ranges, so a comparable 1000~ page compendium could be sold at the same price point. That's Go Go Power Rangers in its entirety for about half the cost of both hardcovers together. If every single Paperback Compendium was the same £55 as TMNT, then the entire 8-year run could cost about as much as £385! I may have merged two deluxe editions while counting there, or possibly separated two parallel running series into their own compendiums but, well, math, I'm just guessing, I'm not in the comic industry, I'm just crazy.

Anyone else wish it was cheaper to collect the whole series? Or do you do something far cheaper like, digital? Sidenote, sorry to American Dollar users who might have been put off by my use of British Pounds. It's just how I wrap my head around this.

‘Stargate’ TV Series From Martin Gero Not Moving Forward at Amazon

> The show was first announced with a series order in November 2025. It hailed from writer, executive producer, and showrunner Martin Gero, who was a writer on “Stargate SG-1” and “Stargate: Atlantis” early in his career.

> According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, Amazon execs were concerned that Gero’s take on the series would not have broad appeal beyond the franchise’s already dedicated fanbase.

Yeh, god forbid it be, y’know, “good”.

> It was first reported back in 2022 that Amazon was looking to develop new projects in the “Stargate” universe following the company’s acquisition of “Stargate” producer MGM Studios. Although Gero’s series will not proceed, Amazon is still exploring new ways to further the franchise.

TIL the Energon Universe in Sweden sometimes has unique original covers!

So, many months ago I went on a tirade about how the Hungarian Translator/Publisher created a baller Omnibus Style with all series in one package. Well, over the past few days I've been going another deep-dive into foreign publishing about foreign TPB's having different covers, sometimes a better selection than what we get here in the Anglosphere.

But before I could make a rant about that I noticed that out of all the publishers, Ades Media from Sweden is the only one who *doesn't* print in paperback, instead opting for a floppy format. Not only that, it's a magazine format, so they are able to squeeze in a little extra, issues containing multiple issues of TF, or sometimes Void Rivals and GI Joe.

And circling back to the variant covers, it really seems Skybound gives a lot of freedom to its foreign publishing partners, because not only has Ades Media chosen different variant covers to use, they've made their own. I can't find the artists for Slides 2 and 3, but Slide 1 was illustrated by UK artist Ed Pirrie, who has drawn a couple of things for IDW. This variant cover was made in seemingly limited numbers and distributed at Stockholm Comic Con. So that's neat!

Unfortunately as cool as this all is, Sweden, like many translations of comics, gets left behind. More than most, there are only *six* issues in Sweden. One in 2024, Four in 2025, and One (as of now) in 2026, and the release schedule of these are utterly sporadic, many months between releases. If they started publishing it monthly, they'd still be quite far behind, but I suppose that'll be a good thing, it means there is buffer room, but that's only if they started like, today.

But still, this is an awesome find. I hope they keep making original covers!

Is there a clip of Scott getting hit in the head with a thrown object?

I'm working on a video, and I kinda need a clip or a still image of someone being hit in the head with a projectile. Preferably a glass bottle but I'll settle for a brick.

Scott has made a lot of videos where he gets hit on the head with some sort of paraphernalia, so I'm sure someone can source a clip I can borrow.

I feel like a failure… [Employment/Job Seeking]

6 years I’ve been unemployed, looking for work. 6 years scammers have seen me as exploitable, to trick into chugging or MLM pyramid schemes. 6 years of being lied to. 6 years of repressed emotions. Until today I finally got a call, and I went off, offloading 6 years of shit.

… it wasn’t until later I realised, it was to a job I think I did apply for. I heard the word “sales” and the 6 years of being reconditioned activated, I finally let loose something I had been holding in for years, something that needed to get out. I thought they were a scammer, telling me I applied for a job that I didn’t, and I spewed verbal diarrhoea of anger out onto them when they were probably just following up on yesterdays job application that they didn’t receive until this morning.

I can’t help but hate myself. I need a job. I am desperate for a job, I’ve been scaling back, expecting less and less, trying fields I’m at best scarcely qualified (but still qualified) for, and I am met with nothing but silence and contempt from an indifferent corporate machine where every time I heard back it’s from malefactors attempting to exploit. And the one time this year it wasn’t, I screw it up.

Why is it so hard to be taken seriously, why is it so hard to do something that millions of people can do, why is it so hard to try and be self-sufficient… Why must I live in a complete and total existence of failure to launch and arrested development… I can’t even get a job as a burger flipper because my skin burns in kitchens.

Edit: I phoned up the caller from earlier in the day, and… well, turns out the job was door-to-door, which wasn’t on the job listing but… still, they understood what I was going through and accepted my apology, so I got that off my chest. But it was in the end a job I applied for, even if the job title wasn’t accurate.

The Freefrom biscuits I liked changed recipe, now they are terrible.

Getting Freefrom biscuits was always a burden, cost more, contains less, the packaging is hell. But you find a brand you like and you stick with them. I liked the Freefrom Custard Cremes from ASDA. I tried the Morrisons, but despite having the same shape, the recipe was off. The creme itself was of a different taste and consistency, it was naff. The ASDA stuff was the way to go.

Then a month of two back, they changed the recipe. I dug up an old box to compare ingredients. Palm Fat replaced with Coconut Fat. Something called “Dextrose” was added.

In exchange for 0.2g of less fat per biscuit, the biscuit itself is now terrible. Just like the Morrisons kind.

Anyone else get this? Finding something you like, then they change it or discontinue it?

I’ve had this thought every so often in the past year. Licensed comic books have actually been not rubbish nowadays. I myself have been really loving Transformers and Sonic the Hedgehog. So I’ve been thinking, one video game franchise leans itself perfectly for a fantasy comic book series. The Legend of Zelda.

Now, there have been mangas, which have been adaptations of the games, and there was a short-lived comic by Valiant which was based on the short-lived cartoon (fun fact, one of the artists for two issues was the infamous Ken Penders) but those have always been tie-ins and adaptations, but I’m thinking of an original twist. Taking what came before, mixing them, reinventing them, and in many other ways just coming up with original ideas.

Synopsis is always easy. Princess Zelda, Link, and a thing that crosses their path. I have my own ideas, but I’ll compile them in a comment later. But with Nintendo looking to expand their brands in recent years, with the Mario Movies, and the forthcoming Zelda movie next year, I think this is the perfect time to pitch a new avenue of storytelling. Strike while the iron is hot, get a dynamite writer artist team. Imagine a Zelda Comic drawn by Daniel Warren Johnson, it would be hardcore.

So, everyone else. Do you agree that a Zelda Comic Book is a great idea, or do you think it’s lunacy?
