It’s worth noting that Thomas was 16-17 and Brenda was 19-20 when they first kissed. The whole relationship kind of feels weird for me like he’s a minor and she’s an adult. I thought she seemed older in the movies so I searched and she definitely is.
And yeah, I ship Newtmas, but atleast Thomas x Teresa is age approp as well. To be fair, they’re fighting for their life so age gaps are the least of their worries. But yeah I love Brenda I love Tommy and I don’t think they’re a good match (not just the age)

Just finished reading Sunrise On The Reaping, and it’s the saddest book EVER. i thought mockingjay was sad, but SOTR? Pushes it out of the water. Haymitch’s fate is the cruelest thing concocted by Coriolanus Snow. Burning Sid, a 10 yr old, and Ma alive is so so incredibly awful. Also, I’ve seen some people defending Silka, but I still will never understand what led her to BEHEAD little Wellie. She could’ve killed her simply, painlessly, but beheading her little body?? Lenora Dove being allowed to be free and then dying by the gumdrops is unbearable. Especially when you realize Clerk Carmine lives through the revolution and is the lone fiddler at Finnick and Annie’s wedding. Torturing Wiress and Mags is deplorable, disgusting. Atleast Maysilee died with her head up. First loathed, then grudgingly respected, then loved like a sister. Haymitch truly lost it all.
Tears are falling from my eyes…. It feels like every book before this was meant to prepare us for Sunrise On the Reaping.
What a beautiful and terrifyingly upsetting book.

I recently read the first book, i’ve been meaning to read this series forever, so ofc i started watching the first movie as well after I finished the first book. Ofc no adaptation can be 1:1 with the book, but in the book >!it’s mentioned that the crown splits into two and president snow awards both katniss and peeta but in the movie, katniss is the only one given the crown. Also there is no discussion that peeta didn’t know he was supposed to be pretending to be in love, that happens in the train in the books. So was he never in true love the way he is in the books, in the arena?!<
I loved the movie very very much and i think it’s a really good adaptation overall but i’m confused abt these two moments because they wouldn’t’ve taken the budget that much and helped the movie become even more accurate, and show >!peeta’s heartbreak too.!<

It’s honestly eerie how similar Anne’s speech to Gilbert is to Jo March’s speech in Little Women.
How she and Gilbert won’t get along, how they both have fierce spirits, how he’s a great deal too good for her (that’s literally what Jo said to Laurie), how they’d end up quarrelling, how she knew “i’d be unhappy and i’d wish we’d never done” exactly how Jo says it, and how she believes she’ll never marry and Gilbert says that she will (just how Laurie did). It makes me wonder if this was deliberate.

not only did she realize what she was doing would ruin her own future, she stopped the wedding, went to college, and got educated. she has a sharp wit and crafted a meticulous business plan! she stood up for josie and called out the hypocrisy in her family. she showed up to support the children and was seen interacting with josie smiling!!! gods i love her so so much i can’t help my smiling when she shows up on the screen:)

and if i said that mike x will (not canon btw) is more popular than rovickie (canon) and that’s misogyny. WHAT THEN???? why is it that in EVERY single FANDOM, it’s always the mlm ships that are in the top?? elmax isn’t as popular. ronance or rovickie either. WHY?

can someone rec any grant chapman fics with him as the main character or a prominent side character??? like actually present and hopefully happy lol?

okay so basically i’m reading the cadence of part time poets, and i accidentally spoiled myself to the fact that tonya and tomny have a girl together?? louise i think? But then tonya leaves or smth?? I’m pretty confused because I loved Tomny and Tonya together, they kind of seemed like Remus’s parents (the cute scene where they both kiss him on the cheek and take care of him) and it seems out of character for Tonya to just leave. So what actually happens to her?

What do you think is gonna be the endgame ship in the second part of the cadence of part time poets?? I hope its gonna be Jily, not became I hate Jegulus but because it makes the most sense. The pining and yearning for lily by james since remus has known him, the eventual friends and then relationship — I don’t think it’d be a good idea to split them up for anything. What do you all think?

what would you want in tcoptp (the cadence of part time poets) pt.2? Obviously if its gonna be anywhere close to the length of pt.1, we’ll probably see some wolfstar relationship problems. What would you want?
