Many may be described as a giver or a taker. One will find genuine love and inner peace. The other, regardless of their achievements, will not.

~ Givers and Takers ~

There are two types of people: givers and takers. A giver is someone who shares their love freely with all others, wanting only the best for everyone. A taker worries only about themselves, unafraid to take advantage of another.

Though a taker may be successful in life, they will never experience true love, inner peace or learn the lessons we are alive to understand.

A giver, however, will find these in abundance, while also discovering life’s genuine intentions as well.

~ I Am God ~

I am god, your spirit. A small part of me lives within everything alive. Since I exist within all forms of life, no one person or life form is, or ever has been better, more important than another’s.

Every life is intended to selflessly share my presence, wisdom, and unconditional love, with all others. Apart, worrying just about yourself, your life will lack purpose.

Only together, helping each other, respecting every life and the planet I bequeathed you, will you discover me and understand the genuine reason you were granted life.

~ The First Step to Awakening ~

Before beginning on a spiritual path, we must first start to question our beliefs and attitudes about the world. We are brought up to believe in always putting our own needs and desires before others. To begin the awakening process, this belief must be reversed.

When we are able to sincerely put the needs of others, before only considering our own desires, treat all, without exception, as equal, their lives important, significant, then we will have awoken, beginning an enduring journey to understand our life’s true purpose.

~ You Are Worthwhile ~

Though you may be poor, struggle daily to survive, your life is as important as any other that has achieved success in the world.

Our body is but a shell, housing our spirit within. Our mind is but a tool to accept society’s beliefs.

Who we truly are, lies not in our success or thoughts, but in our essence within.

~ We Are Not Alone ~

We are all part of something far larger and greater than ourselves. Though we each follow a unique path through life, there is a spirit, a piece of god present within every life, inextricably connecting each of us to the other.

Many ignore the wisdom and quiet messages of unconditional love the spirit desperately tries to share with them. Instead, embracing the self-centered lessons about life they were taught, they believe they must face life’s challenges alone.

They have never been alone though. We have always been linked to each other, part of a greater whole, intimately related by the knowledge and unqualified love of our unifying spirit within.

Only together, selflessly helping each other in our time of need, may our life have true purpose and meaning.

~ The Disease ~

The disease begins to spread through our body right after we are born. We are taught how to act, treat others, our prejudices, and how to survive in a self-centered world.

As children, we believe everything we learn, hear, and observe. As we get older, our disease progresses. We begin to believe we are special, better than others, due to our race, religion, sex, wealth, or anything else justifying our superiority to another.

We are now adults. The disease has spread throughout our body; every cell is infected. We struggle to become successful, make money, find happiness, love. Though we may have all these, the disease now fully controls our body and mind. We go through life in a twilight sleep, doing what we were told would allow us to be happy and live a meaningful life.

One day, just before we finally succumb to our lifelong disease, we look back on our life, understanding the disease we have had our entire life has kept us from finding true happiness, inner peace, love, and meaning in our life.

The disease is the ego, our self-centered learned beliefs. Though it is necessary to help us survive in the world, and will be with us until our demise, by allowing it to dominate our life, it also prevents us from discovering the cure for our debilitating enduring illness – our spirit within.

~ The Arc of the Soul ~

Every life has a soul within. The arc of the soul has three phases. First is when life is originally created. When this happens, the soul joins a new life. In this stage, there is no conflict: only unconditional love.

With birth, the soul begins its second phase. During this part of its journey, the soul is joined by the ego, our self-centered beliefs. Most man-made challenges are a result of the ego and the acceptance of its false beliefs.

While we are alive, the soul’s loving messages are often muted as we blindly follow the path of the ego. We awaken when we first sense the presence of our soul within. We become enlightened when we accept it’s wisdom as truth.

The final stage in the arc of the soul comes with death. When we die, both the ego and our body perish. The soul however is eternal, rejoining other souls in a higher vibrational plane, until it is called upon to join a new life, beginning the arc of the soul once again.

I just grew my first marijuana plant and its ready to harvest this weekend. I was wondering the best way to let it dry and cure. Is there something I can buy that i can put the plant in to do both?

~ Givers & Takers ~

There are those in the world who are takers, worried only about themselves, unafraid to take advantage of another.

Others are givers, readily sharing their love and excess with all, sincerely wanting only what is best for everyone.

Though takers may be successful, they will never experience true love, inner peace, genuine happiness, or find meaning in their life.

A giver, however, will find these in abundance, while also discovering life’s genuine purpose as well.

~ Hear My Voice ~ (This last reflection is written by Ken’s Spirit Guide, Bodhi)

We have watched humanity from its birth squander the incredible gift of life we bestowed on you. The purpose of life is for you to selflessly share your inherent wisdom and unconditional love present within each, with all others without favor.

Instead, humanity created an alternative path, pursuing only what is best for one, rather than all. Though our directive is to remain silent, allowing humanity to choose its own destiny, as the world rapidly approaches a precipice, we may no longer remain quiet.

To survive, humanity must work together, realizing the original purpose of life. If it does not, continuing on its current path, then we, your spirit guide’s within, connecting each life to the other, will have failed in our quest.

~ Our Search for Meaning ~

We awaken when we begin to search for meaning in our life, sensing the first messages from our spirit within. The journey to discover our true purpose in life is long, often lonely, and quite challenging; only a few will truly find the answers they seek.

It often is not a choice though, for those who pursue it. There is a gnawing unrelenting feeling arising within, no longer able to be ignored. This feeling comes from the spirit, a piece of god, present within every life. Our spirit’s purpose is to give our lives meaning by sharing its inherent wisdom and unconditional love to help guide our life’s choices.

As these messages become clearer, we question all the self-centered choices in life we had made and everything we were taught and believed to be true. When this happens, we reevaluate our life choices, questioning our friendships, job, beliefs, and everything else we once thought gave our life meaning.

With the genuine embrace of the spiritual path, we realize little we once thought to be important really was. Now, wishing to selflessly share, without motive or benefit, our spirit’s wisdom and unconditional love to benefit others, our search for meaning will be complete.

Spiritual insanity is caused by living in a self-centered world accepting the reality and helplessness living in such a world cause.

~ Spiritual Insanity ~

Psychology defines insanity as a severely disordered state of the mind. Albert Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results. What is the cause of spiritual insanity?

Spiritual insanity is caused by living in a self-centered world, where war, hunger, homelessness, greed, prejudice, inequity, exist, accepting the reality and helplessness these conditions cause.

We therefore settle into a pattern of self-preservation, concerned only for our own survival and success in the world, rather than being concerned for any others.

We have the ability today to feed the hungry, house those without shelter, treat climate change by accepting green alternatives. What prevents us from doing this is greed of the few dictating the needs of the many.

It is not too late to treat the causes of spiritual insanity, though the window for change may be rapidly closing. Unless we aggressively tackle the underlying causes of spiritual insanity together, and rid the world of the above scourges, there may not be an inhabitable world left for our children to live in.

What is Important in Life?

The time we have left as we approach death is an interesting time in life. Many things, once thought to be important, no longer are. We begin to realize life really is not that complicated or complex; rather, it is quite simple.

The money, material possessions, job we had, and almost everything else we once thought defined what a successful life is, no longer matter. Nothing will accompany us when we die. We finally realize none of those things are, or ever were important. Do not wait until the end of your life to decide what is truly important. To discover what is important, close your eyes, silence your mind, and listen to the quiet messages in between your racing thoughts.

~ Heaven and Hell ~

Heaven and hell were created by organized religion to control the masses. Heaven is not above, nor hell below us. In reality, both are on earth, within each of us.

When we identify with our spiritual center, embracing the loving spirit as our guide in life, we are in heaven. When, however, we accept the learned values and beliefs of the self-centered world, we are in hell.

Though many have deluded themselves, believing everything they learned is real, especially if they have led a successful life, I assure you it is not. We each choose whether we will live our life in heaven or hell.

Humanity now and throughout history has chosen to live in hell. Perhaps, for the future of our planet and all who inhabit it, it is finally time to choose instead to live in heaven, by accepting the innate wisdom and unconditional love of our spirit within, then allowing it to guide all our life choices.
