Do you ever find that you can write easily in your script but can hardly read it back?

Does it happen to just me? ^^" i swear my system is super simple.

Do you think the writing systems you invent define you?

Like a graphology on steroids, like if you make everything round and soft then you're a bubbly kind person and if it's sharp you are a tougher person? Just wondering.

Anyone here who writes character driven, not plot/setting driven stories?

It's all about the arc, the transformation, the tormenting of mi characters until they break and get a lesson. I totally don't care about world building or magic aystems, or relationships or even plot if it aint serve the arc. Is that normal?

Any other intj here whos close with another intj?

It always fascinates me how different yet similar intjs are. Have you ever met another intj and felt like you get them but somehow they are also an enigma?

What would an "emoji" writing system be like?

I am wondering to start this design experiment of turning emojis and icons into a sort of futuristic hieroglyphic script. Any ideas where to start?☺️
Would you want to do it with me or in your own version? Itd be fun.

Give me a short story to illustrate

Hi guys. I am a manga artist (also writer) who fell out of practice and hopes to come back. I am looking for any short story/ oneshot idea you might have lying around and want illustrated. Anyone has some cool idea for a short oneshot lying around that they don't mind i use as practice? You will of course get credit for the story. My own stories are super long and ambitious, so i wanna start with something smaller.

What i like is historical/fantasy. Seinen/adults, horror/thriller/dark. Psychological or philosophical. It can have cool action, but action must not be the sole focus. Ideally it's character-driven and not about endless world-building. FYI, my style is anime-ish sumi.

looking for an anime with a lot of madness and violence

Any recommendations?
It can be slow burn if the protag is genuinely unraveling or unsettling from start. Or a lot of violent stuff happens that kicks off this arc haha.

Even though i literally produce the same amount of words, the middle feels like it takes forever despite enjoying each scene. Such a weird feeling.

Yes or no. Assuming the creator does everything right. Does the art add or subtract from the experience? Imagine artbdid what visual medium does best, and text did what text does best. Black and white style. Fitting perfectly for the overall vibe of the story. Art is not decorative or serve as eye stop, but is part of the experience. What do you think? Yes or no.

Would you guys read them? Ive been looking for something similar like the seinen classics and wish there was like a light novel version for such stories. I know making manga is very arduous and complicated and i don't necessarily want my fav mangakas to work even harder or resort to ai. So why not just use more text?
