UFO Makes Loops Over Cleveland, Texas, USA On Aug 10, 2026, UAP Sighting News.

From the post:

*When this person posted the video people left comments saying it was Venus, clouds, ect and many even came to the conclusion it was his truck causing Venus to bounce around. Clearly they didn't think this out or they would have noticed that when he was moving around from inside the truck to outside, the UFO was still moving in loops. And its focus was great. Did you notice the telephone pole wires were not shaking, instead the wires were steady and focused the whole time and so were the clouds. This means the UFO really was spinning in loops.*

Biden-era 'ghost guns' restrictions are unconstitutional, US judge rules

US Supreme Court upheld the same regulation last year.

This 2022 rule applies to gun kit and parts makers.

Under rule, these products must carry serial numbersLicenses and buyer background checks also mandatedTrump administration has defended the rule in court

Aug 18 (Reuters) - A federal judge in Texas has declared that a regulation adopted by Democratic former President ‌Joe Biden's administration targeting largely untraceable "ghost guns" is unconstitutional — a ruling issued after the U.S. Supreme Court last year upheld the measure.

U.S. District Judge Reed O'Connor in Fort Worth ruled on Monday that the 2022 rule violates the right to keep and bear arms under the U.S. Constitution's Second Amendment and was too vague to satisfy the Fifth Amendment's due process guarantees.

NPR:Part of a key firearms law lapsed following a federal court decision. What happens now?

The ruling applies to certain short-barreled shotguns and rifles and suppressors. It also applies to a niche subset of firearms referred to by the federal government as "any other weapons." This is a catch-all for concealable, unique firearms that don't fall into other categories. They can include gadget guns, like pen guns or umbrella guns.

And Gun Owners of America said, some states may still require additional rules and firearm registration forms may still be required under the federal Gun Control Act.

But there is a push from gun rights groups and Republican lawmakers to get the DOJ to permanently apply this ruling nationwide.

In a statement, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said the agency is still "processing forms and will continue to process forms consistent with applicable law, regulations, and agency policy."

Because of the legal murkiness, Pratt urges people to talk to an attorney before foregoing registration.

Like the Gun Owners of America, ATF says, "Anyone who has questions about how a court ruling may affect their particular circumstances should consult with their attorney for legal advice."

Silencer Shop Plans Historic No-Form-4 Suppressor Transfers

Silencer Shop is preparing to do what the federal government has forbidden Americans from doing for more than 90 years: complete commercial suppressor transfers without ATF permission, Form 4s, or entry into the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record.

In an August 12 letter to Attorney General Todd Blanche and ATF Director Robert Cekada, Gun Owners of America and Silencer Shop gave the government notice that two transfers are scheduled for midnight Central Time on August 13. One suppressor will go to Brandon Herrera, the Republican candidate for Texas’ 23rd Congressional District. The second will go to Texas state Rep. Wes Virdell.

The letter gives DOJ and ATF until 5 p.m. Eastern on August 12 to say whether they consider the transfers unlawful or intend to continue enforcing the enjoined National Firearms Act provisions.

47 Lawmakers Urge Nationwide NFA Registration Relief

With the deadline looming for the United States Department of Justice to seek an extension of the stay in Silencer Shop Foundation v. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Congress, lead by Representative Andrew Clyde (R-GA) and Senator Steve Daines (R-MO) has sent a letter to the ATF urging the agency to use its regulatory authority to expand the injunction against enforcement of key provisions of the National Firearms Act of 1934 (NFA). Such action would effectively create broader protection approaching a de facto nationwide injunction.

DOJ Divided Over Appeal as NFA Stay Deadline Nears

Many observers expected the DOJ to move quickly for an extended stay. It has not. AmmoLand News reached out to sources inside the department to understand the delay and the internal discussions taking place.
According to those sources—individuals with intimate knowledge of the proceedings whose accounts have been independently corroborated by others—two distinct camps have formed within the DOJ.

The first group consists largely of career employees. They maintain that the Department’s institutional duty is to defend federal statutes against legal challenge. In their view, the proper response to an adverse district court ruling is to appeal and to seek a stay so that the law remains in effect while higher courts review the decision. This faction wants the government to fight the case to the end.

The second group takes a different position. These officials argue that the DOJ has no obligation to defend a law once it has been found unconstitutional on solid legal grounds. They contend that continuing to litigate in defense of provisions that no longer generate revenue and that rest on a now-invalid tax theory would be both unnecessary and contrary to the Department’s higher duty to the Constitution. If the decision were theirs alone, they would decline to appeal.

Scientific American : Latest Pentagon UFO files release includes video of mysterious ‘cold orbs’

Good to see a serious and well known scientific publication promptly reporting the story

The footage was recorded on a cellular device in September 2021 and shows the infrared display of a U.S. Special Operations Forces AC-130J gunship flying over the Gulf of Oman during a training exercise.

In an accompanying incident report, the blips are described as “Multiple Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon Observed Maneuvering Erratically and In Formation.” The report states that the objects appeared to be flying at lower altitudes and to vary in speed between 250 and 1,300 miles per hour with no detected means of propulsion.

CBS News: Pentagon releases new batch of UFO files: "Did you see that?"

Washington — The Pentagon on Friday released a new batch of documents and images related to UFOs, also known as unidentified anomalous phenomena or UAP, including a military pilot's recollection of a huge, strange triangle that blocked out the stars over Afghanistan in 2002.
The 41 new files, posted on the Pentagon's UFO website, include a mix of documents, images and videos. The records come from the Pentagon, FBI, CIA, State Department and Executive Office of the President, with the oldest being from 1950 and the most recent being from this year.

The disclosure is the fifth release under an executive order President Trump signed in January directing the military and other agencies to produce more documents related to UFOs.

What's in the new UFO files?
The bulk of Friday's release includes the type of grainy videos that have been the hallmark of past disclosures, showing flying objects captured by military sensors and cameras.

Six of the videos show different versions of the same incident — an encounter over the Gulf of Oman by Special Operations forces on an AC-130J gunship in September 2021. The clips are cellphone videos of screens on the gunship, showing objects picked up by its infrared and other sensors.

An accompanying intelligence report sheds more light on the footage. The report said the forces onboard the gunship "observed approximately 25 instances of UAPs while conducting a live fire exercise in the Gulf of Oman."

"The UAPs were observed as cold orbs flying at lower altitudes between 250 to 1300 MPH in different formations as well as maneuvering aggressively. UAPs also appeared to react to the aircraft firing its main cannon," the report said.
The encounter could not be resolved by the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, the Pentagon's UAP investigative arm.

The Pentagon said that Friday's document disclosure won't be the last under Mr. Trump's executive order, with a spokesman saying the department "will release additional files on a rolling basis."

House Democrats Demand ATF Roll Back Gun Rights Reforms

House Dems Send Letter To ATF Director Demanding An End To Agency Reforms

The letter, led by Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Maryland, and Rep. Lucy McBath, D-Georgia, calls the reforms “dangerous” and says the new rules would “dramatically roll back longstanding firearms safeguards and undermine public safety.”

As Democratic Members of the House Committee on the Judiciary, we write to express our opposition to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ (ATF) dangerous package of proposed rules to roll back commonsense gun safety policies,” the letter stated.

“Taken together, these proposals constitute the most sweeping effort in decades to weaken federal firearms safeguards, prevent accountability within the firearms industry, limit law enforcement’s oversight of firearms dealers, and make it easier for dangerous individuals to obtain dangerous weapons.”

According to a report at thetrace.com, those signing the letter were especially irked that the new rules would get rid of Biden’s “engaged in the business” rule, which was designed to end the private sale of firearms. They also strenuously object to the proposed rule that would let gun purchasers have the firearms they buy after passing a background check delivered to their homes — a very common practice until 1968.

Scotland: MoD rejects calls for Scottish UFO file release citing 'no military threat detected'

A probe into Scottish UFOs has been denied by UK Defence Chiefs as they state no sightings have ever posed a military threat to the country.

Those investigating strange going ons in the skies above Scotland received a response from the Ministry of Defenceafter Scottish experts in the subject pleaded with UK agencies to follow their US counterparts and release information on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs).

There was hope Scottish files would declassified on “unusual aerial objects” following a series of bizarre incidents in and around Stirlingshire and Falkirk, which saw the area branded a world UFO hotspot three decades ago.

But the Ministry of Defence has told Scots author Malcolm Robinson it has no plans to follow the US or resume research after ceasing to investigate reports of UFO or UAP almost two decades ago.

It added that defence resources instead “remain focused on activities that directly support national security”.

The letter, signed off by an’ MoD Air Policy Secretariat’, said: “Whilst we note your interest in this matter, the Ministry of Defence has no opinion on the existence of either extra-terrestrials, Unidentified Flying Objects or Unidentified Aerial Phenomena.
“In over 50 years, no sighting reported to the Department has indicated the existence of any military threat to the United Kingdom and it is deemed more valuable to prioritise MOD staff towards other Defence-related activities. For this reason, MOD ceased to investigate reports of UFO or UAP in 2009.
138437485146

“All MOD files relating to UFOs that were created up until 2009 have been released to The National Archives.
“We would however like to reassure you that the UK air defence community continuously monitors UK airspace to maintain a complete ‘recognised air picture’ as part of the national security posture and our commitment to the integrity of NATO airspace, allowing us to deter, track and react if necessary to any credible threats to the UK and its civilians.”

During the 1990s, a wave of sightings involving mysterious objects across central Scotland became known as the Falkirk Triangle, drawing global interest.

AR-style rifles back on display in some gun stores as Virginia assault weapons ban remains on hold - Salim’s Response

From article:

State lawmakers behind the legislation say the goal has always been public safety.
State Sen. Saddam Salim (D-Fairfax) said that while the pause is frustrating, waiting for the Supreme Court could ultimately provide clarity not just for Virginia but for states across the country with similar laws.

"What's going to hurt us is that if we move forward and then the Supreme Court decides something different or actually decide with us, we wasted a lot of resources in fighting this," Salim said.

Salim said a ruling against the ban would send legislators back to the drawing board.
"And if the whole thing is struck down, I think we got a lot of work to do, and really back to the drawing board to really look at what can we do to ensure that we're protecting people," Salim said.

Pilot spots 'flying saucer' from cockpit of plane near London Gatwick Airport

A pilot spotted a ‘flying saucer’ narrowly close to their plane near LondonGatwick Airport.
Aviation officials say the pilot was behind the wheel of an Airbus A319 when they saw an ‘unk obj’, or unknown object, at 11.30am on April 29.

The A319 pilot reports that descending, turning left, a disc or “flying saucer” type suspected drone was seen flying very close in the opposite direction, at the same level to them, past their right wing,’ a report by the UK Airprox Board published in June said.

The disc was spotted soaring over the Sussex countryside near Hangcross, a village roughly seven miles south of Gatwick.

The UK Airprox Board examines incidents of ‘airprox’, or when something is close enough to a plane that it could be a safety risk.

And this ‘something’ was just 100ft or so from the aircraft wing as they were 8,500ft in the air and about to land, the board was told.
‘The object looked like a disc with darker markings on the rim, a suspected possible drone but not sure,’ its monthly meeting report said.

‘It was very close to the aircraft, but no evasive action was required as they were in a turn already.’
Investigators cross-checked the sighting with radar data to see if it was a known drone, but came up short.

‘In the Board’s opinion the reported altitude and/or description of the object were such that they were unable to determine the nature of the unknown object,’ the report concluded.

WaPo Letter To Editor: Policymakers should heed the lessons from Virginia’s AR-style rifle ban

AR-15-style rifles on display in Burbank, California, in 2022. (Jae C. Hong/AP)
Stephen Gutowski’s July 29 op-ed, “Virginia’s ban on AR-style rifles looks like a misfire,” noted that the state’s ban on “assault firearms” appears to have caused a significant and presumably unintended spike in sales before it went into effect in July. He also said he expects the law to be invalidated within the year when the Supreme Court decides challenges to similar bans in Connecticut and Illinois. That expectation accurately reflects concerns that various justices have expressed about these laws, and their decision to finally take up the issue suggests those doubts run deep. I was one of the lawyers who conceived and litigated District of Columbia v. Heller, the 2008 case in which the Supreme Court first held that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to own a gun.

Policymakers in Virginia and elsewhere should understand that the justices are serious about not allowing the Second Amendment to be treated like a second-class right anymore. And though there is still substantial room for reasonable regulations, they must be broadly consistent with the nation’s historic tradition of private gun ownership and armed self-defense.

South Korea: ‘Unanswered Questions’ Probes Mystery Lights That Brought Gimhae Airport to a Standstill

Runway shutdown forces emergency diversion, leaving 150 passengers to travel through the night
Military and police searches find no trace, reigniting debate over UAPs

SBS investigative series ‘Unanswered Questions’ is examining a mysterious incident that forced a passenger jet to abandon its landing at Gimhae International Airport.

The episode will reconstruct why an otherwise routine nighttime flight was abruptly diverted and investigate reports of unidentified lights moving through the sky near the airport.

Runway Closed, Flight Diverted

On the night of May 19, a flight from Nagoya, Japan, was approaching Gimhae International Airport in Busan when passengers received an unexpected announcement: all takeoffs and landings had been suspended.

The aircraft was already nearing the airport, and the sudden decision created tension inside the cabin.

The flight was eventually diverted to Incheon International Airport. About 150 passengers spent the night there before boarding buses to Busan early the following morning. What should have been a 90-minute trip stretched to nearly 10 hours, with passengers receiving little explanation for the disruption.

Authorities released few details about what had happened at Gimhae Airport. Witnesses, however, have described an unusually extensive emergency response unfolding on the ground.

Three Lights Across the Night Sky

Multiple witnesses reported seeing unusual lights near the airport that evening.

At around 9 p.m., three green lights were allegedly seen moving through the sky in formation, maintaining a consistent distance from one another.

A source who said they were serving at a nearby military base at the time recalled seeing the lights pass above the barracks. The witness claimed their movement differed from that of a conventional aircraft and estimated that they were flying relatively low, only dozens of meters above nearby apartment buildings.

Gimhae Airport is jointly operated by civilian and military authorities and is subject to strict airspace controls. Reports of an unidentified object entering such a sensitive area immediately raised security concerns.

Claims of an Emergency Military Response

Another witness claimed that the military treated the sighting as a genuine emergency.

According to the account, radio communications described the incident as a “real-world situation,” prompting senior commanders and specialized personnel to respond.

The object was reportedly detected intermittently for nearly two hours before suddenly disappearing. Witnesses argued that its erratic appearance and movement did not resemble those of an ordinary aircraft or commercial drone.

The official conclusion was far less dramatic. After a joint search, the Air Force and police were unable to identify or recover any object. Authorities ultimately closed the case on the assumption that witnesses had misidentified a light source.

No Evidence, but New Questions About UAPs

The incident has drawn renewed attention amid growing international discussion of unidentified anomalous phenomena, commonly referred to as UAPs.

The release of previously undisclosed footage by the U.S. government has intensified global interest in unexplained objects observed in controlled airspace.

Some believe the lights reported over Gimhae Airport warrant further scrutiny as part of that wider debate. Others maintain that the sightings were more likely caused by a visual misperception, an aircraft or a natural phenomenon.

Drawing on witness testimony and records from the night, ‘Unanswered Questions’ will reconstruct the events that brought the airport to a halt and examine what may have crossed the sky above Gimhae.

The episode airs Aug. 1 at 11:10 p.m. KST on SBS.

Virginia State Police Move to Dismiss GOA and VCDL Gun Ban Lawsuit, Attacking Standing and Defending the Ban on the Merits

LANCASTER, VA — The Virginia State Police want the gun ban lawsuit in Lancaster County thrown out before it goes any further. Colonel Jeffrey S. Katz, sued in his official capacity as Superintendent of the Virginia State Police, has filed a Motion to Dismiss and Demurrer in Crump v. Katz, the challenge to Virginia’s new “assault firearm” and magazine bans pending in the Circuit Court for the County of Lancaster.

The filing’s first move is not about guns at all. It is about who is allowed to sue. The motion contends that the organizational plaintiffs, Gun Owners of America, Gun Owners Foundation, the Virginia Citizens Defense League, and the Virginia Citizens Defense Foundation, “lack standing to bring this action on behalf of third parties, and none of the Plaintiffs has standing to bring this action against Defendant Jeffrey S. Katz.” Standing, in plain terms, is a plaintiff’s ticket into the courthouse.

Before a court will even consider whether a law is unconstitutional, the people suing have to show the case is truly theirs to bring: that they have real skin in the game, that the defendant is the one causing them harm, and that a ruling in their favor would actually fix it.

Katz’s lawyers argue the gun rights groups cannot make that showing on behalf of their members, and the motion quotes Virginia case law saying a lawsuit filed by someone without standing is a “legal nullity.” In other words, if the court agrees, the case would be treated as if it never legally existed.

Center Square: Virginia gun ban litigation enters next phase

The Center Square) – More than a week after a statewide injunction halted enforcement of Virginia’s new assault weapons ban, parts of the legal fight have entered a holding pattern as state and federal courts await guidance from the U.S. Supreme Court.

The statewide injunction took effect July 21 after Washington County Circuit Judge Jeffrey L. Campbell expanded his earlier ruling statewide, concluding a narrower injunction could create inconsistent enforcement across Virginia and fail to provide complete relief to the plaintiffs.

Campbell has since granted the defendants’ motion to pause the Washington County case, with the agreement of the parties, while the Supreme Court considers challenges to assault weapons bans in Illinois and Connecticut.

The stay does not lift the injunction. Under Campbell’s order, it remains in place until further order of the court or no later than 60 days after the Supreme Court decides the two cases, whichever comes first.

The Washington County lawsuit is one of four state court challenges to Senate Bill 749 and House Bill 217, which took effect July 1. The law prohibits the future manufacture, import, sale, purchase and transfer of certain semiautomatic firearms and magazines capable of holding more than 15 rounds. Virginians who legally possessed the affected firearms and magazines before the law took effect may continue possessing them.

A separate federal lawsuit, McDonald v. Katz, has been stayed after the plaintiffs filed a consent motion asking the court to pause proceedings pending the Supreme Court’s review.

Not all of the litigation has stopped. A challenge filed in Lancaster County remains pending, with a pretrial motion hearing scheduled for Aug. 21 at 1 p.m., according to the Lancaster County Circuit Court docket.

A three-judge panel appointed by the Virginia Supreme Court denied the state’s request to consolidate the four state lawsuits, allowing them to continue separately in circuit courts.
In an interview with The Center Square’s “The States,” Philip Van Cleave, president of the Virginia Citizens Defense League, said the statewide injunction has allowed most firearms dealers to resume selling firearms and magazines covered by the law.

“Most gun stores are back to selling ARs,” Van Cleave said. “They’re back to selling magazines that hold more than 15 rounds.”

The Supreme Court granted review June 30 in Viramontes v. Cook County and Grant v. Higgins. The Supreme Court’s rulings could shape how lower courts evaluate Virginia’s law and similar firearm restrictions.

Until then, Campbell’s statewide injunction remains in effect unless the court modifies it.
