Looking For Guest: Career Change Story
Hi there, my name is Simon and I'm one half of the Rejected or Selected Podcast. A show all about job search woes, hiring horrors, and everything fair and unfair in and around our work lives (yes, that's our tag line verbatim)
I'm currently looking for a guest who has made a dramatic career change in their lives and is open to talking about the experience, what are some of the good and bad things, difficulties, and any lifestyle changes they needed to make.
I am based in Perth, Western Australia but happy to work around time zones, as long as we're not recording at 1 in the morning.
I've switched my DM's off here on Reddit, but if you're keen, you can send an email to rejectedorselected@gmail.com or simply comment on this post and we'll tee something up.
[Rejected or Selected] Too Big To Behave Ep14 S2
This is the 14th episode for 2026 and we unpack the unethical standards that the Big 4 consulting firms continue to get away with in Australia.
I would really appreciate some feedback from this community on this episode and indeed any other episodes you come across from my co-host and I.
[Rejected or Selected] How To Hold Your Knife: AI and Human Behaviour
Episode guest: Amy Chokchai, Cyber Security lecturer and PhD candidate.
Workplace Anonymous Confessions
Hi everybody!
I'm the co-host of the podcast, Rejected or Selected, and I'm here to shamelessly plug our Anonymous Confessions https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeX7N26yGo6qpRGlSPAQJXsWfdMSFyRMZZJEDSqYvTUdUxz2w/viewform
If you've had a run-in at your workplace, annoying story about a boss or co-worker, sick and tired of the way you're treated, or have been unfairly dismissed, we wanna hear it! We'll be sharing the confessions on our podcast each fortnight when our episodes go live.
Do not worry, the form is completely anonymised. Please do not share your name with us or the name of the workplace (but you can certainly hint at it) and my co-host and I will pick the best ones each fortnight to share on our show.
And if you're questioning the legitimacy of this, you can (ok this is the other shameless plug) check out our podcast hosted on Riverside right here Rejected Or Selected

Absolutely No Idea What To Do
Last week I came on here to ask what to do about my hair I wanted to grow out. Someone said to get it tidied up, but there was a language barrier with my barber and she ended up using the clippers way too much. I am top heavy now, which I guess is OK, but I have no idea what to do with the sides or even if I should just go short again. Help!
Need Help - Growing Hair Out and No Idea What To Do
Firstly, be kind I know I look terrible at this point.
I'd like to grow my hair shoulder length eventually, but should I go see a barber and get tidied up? My hair's currently in a very awkward phase and I'm not sure how I can improve the look while trying to grow it out longer.
