Smash burgers from father's day

Smash burgers from father's day

I never end up getting pictures on the grill because everything goes so fast. This is beef from our friends farm and its fantastic. The sauce is a sun dried tomato aoli my wife makes. I hate ketchup and I'm not big on most mayo. But this a great sauce that is an elevation of the two combined. The bun is a sourdough bun she makes

Nectarine Gratin

I have been trying this sabayon over different fruits and this one is the best so far. I really recommend this recipe for a quick age easy dessert that seems impressive. This was with bourbon, dry vermouth, and duck eggs

Chicken with Dijon velouté

This was the dish I chose to serve today in our hospital cafeteria. We are in rural America so I had to call it mustard gravy chicken. But it was very good

My chocolate salmon i keep dreaming about

I was day dreaming about this and made it a reality. Its a chocolate bernaise. But last second there was a smidgen of curdling. Im going to try to again. I had a dream I made it but the sauce looked much better. It all tasted great together still though irl. I also want to try to a dry. Chocolate rub. And i want to try a version where the chocolate is hardened around the salmon. I plan to plate this with mushrooms that get deglazed with espresso.

Pamplemousse Gratin

Another dish testing french desserts. I made this with duck eggs. To tell you the truth I didn't like this much. There was too much grapefruit and not enough custard. Topped with pan fried honey bunches of oats. I made a second batch later I didn't get pictures of. That time I did blueberries and topped it with goat cheese. I also added another yolk to the custard. With the grapefruit I did 1 tablespoon of bourbon and 1 of grapefruit juice. With the blueberry one I switched the grapefruit juice out for white wine. I cooked the custard a little longer. The blueberry one was delicious and took me only a few minutes. Very easy

My prized possession hit 20,000 kills

Opened this on my 16th birthday. Got the sticker in 2014 for 25 cents. Just turned 30. everybody loves the ibp but the king on the field sticker is actually the rarest in the game. Only 80 exist.

Im carrying a Rite in the Rain pen, a streamlight macrostream, a leatherman skeletool and a pom oc spray. This holster is sitting on my vedder leather belt. The leatherman is on a keyback. I really love this feature. The keyback i got is bigger than id like and looks bad in pictures. But when it's under my shirt I don't think about it. I can quickly detach the leatherman with the carabiner easily but I don't need to much. if I'm working on something, and need the tool often, i just leave it hanging. when i had the skeletool clipped it in the holster, it was a little less comfortable than pulling it out of my pants pocket, but with it just sitting in there on the keyback, it's easier than ever to pull out and i don't worry about it falling out. After losing my ARC the day I got it, I wanted to make sure that wouldn't happen again. I use to have a clip on each of my 4 pockets but this really frees them up and helps me keep everything together.

any smaller keyback recommendations?

Also I've gotten over worrying about the last arc throughout my day, but i still have dreams about it. I dreamt i find it in the couch cushion, felt it in my hands for a second, then dropped it in there again and couldn't find it.
