Used appliance shops

We have an 18 month old GE electric stovetop/oven that is surely worth something to someone. All major parts have been replaced under warranty trying to troubleshoot, and finally the extended warranty company has given up and paid us to purchase a new one. Currently won't power up because the wiring harness shorted out, but the rest of the unit works.

Are there any used appliance shops around that would be possibly interested in taking this off our hands?

First time trading in - what to expect?

As the title says, I'm going to trade in a gun for the first time and looking for advice. I needed the gun as a stopgap for when my first gun was mailed in for service. I'm no longer interested in the gun - both because I have others now and because I don't really like the trigger/ergo.

My plan is to trade it for a different model from the same manufacturer that I know is in stock from the shop I originally purchased from. They take trades for store credit.

What should I expect? I plan on cleaning the gun, taking off any accessories, and bringing in as much of the original stuff that came with it as possible. Anything else to consider?

Recommendation for general tree care service

I'm in the market for a new tree/shrub care company since our last one ghosted us. Pretty much will need all sorts of services including tree/stump removal, pest control, fertilization, etc.

She's here (M9). What next?

My new Beretta has officially landed (I have other guns, including the Italian LE 84bb from PSA).

I plan on shooting it before making any adjustments, but do y'all suggest any modifications or QOL improvements? I'm reasonably handy but don't want to do any milling.

I'm thinking things like improved internals, maybe fiber optic front sight, new grips, etc. I don't have a ton of experience with Beretta's so any insight is appreciated!

This will mostly be a range toy. I'm left handed if any lefties out there have suggestions.

Why do people recommend chip scrap?

SRB for the first time last night and spent some crystals on the chip scrap upgrade. I'm at level 20 scrap station and have gotten no more than 5 blocks of chips for a total of 25 upgrade chips (technically 50 because I have bb8). This is after literally hundreds of scrap heaps destroyed.

Am I just unlucky? This feels like a complete waste of crystals. I could've just sold droid for chips and saved my crystals.

How to prevent/recognize sun scald in young tree

New Meyer lemon in zone 9a. Seems to be doing well, but I'm a little concerned about sun scald given how spindly it is and the inevitable hot/bright summer. Somewhat luckily it gets part shade from 11-2ish, so it only gets direct sun when it is lower in the sky (both in morning and evening).

Is there anything I should do or look out for to protect this little one during its first summer?

My first thought was to build a mesh screen cylinder several inches in diameter to help block UV. Wide enough to let it sway in the wind, but that would shade the trunk.

I'm not loving how these cuts are healing. Should I clean them up?

As the title says. New Meyer lemon tree with these less than clean cuts from the nursery. I'm avoiding touching it for now, it's finishing up maturing it's first flush since being put in the ground.

Are these cause for concern? If so what is the best plan of action? My gut instinct says to clean them up so that I don't have stubby dead end cuts.

Who's perspective are we reading in the item descriptions?

The item description of the mirror shield, in particular how the rumor is "absurd" got me wondering if there is a single known entity from the in-game universe who is writing these?

> Shield of radiant silver, festooned with amber and carried by Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree.

> The shape is said to imitate that of a sacred drop of dew, which inspired the absurd rumor that Loretta herself was an Albinauric.

What is causing this marring?

Most obvious to me would be the casing being ejected and my poor form, but want to see if anyone else has encountered this?

I'm not really concerned it's pretty superficial, mostly wondering how to prevent it in the future. But if there is a way to repair also would also love to know.

Can't find outdoor camera (wired 2nd gen).

I have 3 cameras and a doorbell cam installed, but can't seem to set up the 4th camera. I've updated my Google Home app. I've RMA'd twice. I've tried different wifi bands. I've tried resetting my router. I've tried every troubleshooting step customer service has attempted (hence the RMAs). Any tips?

Should I do anything with this root?

Brand new Meyer lemon tree in the ground about 3 months. One of the roots is growing noticably, which im happy about obviously, but is slightly above ground.

Do I need to ensure it is buried (or at least touching the ground)? Cut before it gets too important? Or is it just something to watch for now?

Thanks for the help!

Problem or normal? Long leaf pine

Noticed these holes at ground level of a very large pine. Can't see them up higher as far as I can tell.

License plate camera NB Abercorn at DeRenne

Is taking pictures of every car that goes through the intersection. Multiple pictures per light cycle. Is that normal? Seems excessive to me.

Sand/bag filler for storm prep?

It's my first full summer in Savannah and I want to get a head start on storm prep. I have some canvas sand bags that I need to fill even for regular big storms. Where can I get some free or cheap in the area?

Help "over-summering" new Meyer lemon tree

Zone 9a here. Just planted an improved Meyer lemon in April that's doing pretty well. It's first full flush has come in and should mature in the next week or so.

What are some things I should look out for, or should I do preemptively to protect it from the heat/sun/summer storms? One thing I'm concerned about is strong wind/storms.

Luckily the tree gets a big chunk of its sun for 3-4 hours first thing in the morning then another chunk in the middle afternoon (with the rest of the day being part shade), so I think there's less chance of an issue from extreme sun exposure. Right now I have the base covered lightly with dirt and pine straw to protect the roots. I've been water twice weekly or so.

9070XT / Elden Ring ray tracing

I just put a build together with a 9070XT GPU. When running Elden Ring (1440p) without ray tracing it works absolutely perfectly, no heat issues, using maybe half of its capacity.

However, turning ray tracing on low setting has it running hot and using 85-95% capacity. Anything above low ray tracing quality is basically a nonstarter. Stuttering, frame rate drops, etc. Even on low I'll get a stutter every once in a while.

Is this normal? I've heard Elden Rings ray tracing is not optimized, but being an "older" game I had hoped such a GPU would be able to handle more than the lowest ray tracing settings.

I don't have another game right now to compare ray tracing, so putting the question here. Should it work better than this with other games? Is Elden Ring just that poorly optimized for ray tracing?

Okra with legs for days

Is this normal growth for okra? This is my first year trying them (coastal 9a) and for some reason they want to grow straight up with only a few leaves. I assumed they'd starting to be more bushy at this size.

Extra 80mm fan on North XL

I have a North XL build with a fan setup matching the posted image. I feel like system temps run a bit warm (like several degrees, nothing serious).

I've also heard there is space for an 80mm fan in the red circled area.

Has anyone installed an 80mm fan in this location, and if so does it help? I assume it'd be in the exhaust orientation but let me know if that's wrong.
