why is bartydora not more popular?

hoping i dont get dogged on as im just genuinely curious. its honestly one of my favorite ships simply because of the aesthetics, tropes, and dynamics the ship entails. more specifically if you see pandora as a rosier twin. barty being a playboy and sleeping around w everyone under the sun but he falls for his best friends sister. shes bad with social cues and incredibly naive so hes always teasing her. they also just have very opposite but complimentary aesthetics that look good together. idk i just see so much potential for the ship and im genuinely shocked its not very common.

they could be trying to hide the relationship, pandora could be in denial and scared of hurting her brother, etc. i just think theyre also both weird in very different ways but are probably one of the few people who understand the other. idk wanted to hear others thoughts!

was my piercer sexually inappropriate?

so i had a weird interaction with an older male piercer, and im not sure if im just reading into it. today i went to a new piercing shop, as they had a special deal for 4th of july and wanted some more ear piercings. as im about to get it im scared out out my mind (daith) and i jokingly say "yknow idk why im freaked out, i have my vch and i wasnt nearly as scared". honestly, i like telling my piercers about it as its always a fun little brag to me, and as theyre professionals, its never been a weird thing yk? this piercer however kept asking questions abt how it was done, what jewelry im using, not weird at this point. he sounded concerned it mightve been done wrong so i was like "i dont mind showing it if you wanted to make sure its done well". maybe that was my bad but i thought that was a pretty normal thing to do with a piercer? but he says yes, and when he sees it, instead of asking for permission, he straight up just starts touching. with gloves of course, but without asking if i was alright with it. okay whatever, maybe he just thought itd be okay since i offered to show. later, he starts bringing up other genital piercings, to which i say "oh id love nipple piercings". now, this is when shit got weird. in response he asks me my nipple size, and i tell him what i think it is. instead of taking my answer at face value he just goes "lift up your shirt". i looked at him weird before eventually doing it (i dont know why, i thought it mightve just been normal). when i do, he again without asking permission, begins touching my nipple. after all the interactions he asks if id be interested in modeling play piercings for a photo shoot and he overall was just asking many personal questions about where abouts i live and what i do for a living.

now, my question, im almost sure this interaction was at the very least, sexually inappropriate. however, part of me thinks maybe its just the piercer is very used to more intimate interactions, and just forgets about those boundaries to some extent? not sure but i wanted to check with others to see if this is as weird as i think it is.

should i leave a server over weird mods

soo im either gonna receive a lot of hate for this or people are gonna agree, hopefully the latter. i joined a roleplay id found on discord thinking it sounded interesting. when i first joined, all was well and everything seemed super cool and well organized.

my first red flag was character approval. if our character has any kind of disability or mental illness, youre required to do research. alright sounds good! i list my character as having impostor syndrome, which is a phenomenon, not a diagnosis. either way, im a psychology major and know plenty on the subject. when i submit my character, i am told i must list facts about the disorder and what symptoms im roleplaying, as well as that i had to link my characters race (vampire) and a video of my voiceclaim. meanwhile i look at their friends character for example (playing an eco-touched catkin), and they have not had to do the same. i also am also told my font is not legible due to one of the mods dyslexia, but 2 of their friends docs include similar cursive fonts. thats alright, changed all of the above. a mod then tells me i must link a source for imposter syndrome... okay. i do it. overall the biggest issue with character creation and approval is this took place over the span of a week while their friends character was approved in a day. also, all the rules for character creation are scattered across multiple docs and channels and was very confusing overall. also, not one, but all four mods must approve your character which wasnt something id experienced before and found kinda odd.

now, to my main issue, two of the moderators are part of a "system". this is the part i feel might get hate. as a psych major whos studied cases of DID, it is not even close to the way its portrayed by people online. often you will not even know your alters name, age, or even how to communicate with them. it takes years of therapy in some cases to even talk to your alter. most commonly there is only one alter, but in cases of severe trauma yes there can be multiple. now, one mod has 13 alters while the other has 12. each alter has individual names, pronouns, sexualities, and while both mods are underage physically, all their alters just so happen to be 18+... overall it just reads to me as cringy as shit and very obviously fake, especially as someone whos studied the real thing. im almost inclined to leave just based on principal.

am i weird to wanna leave over this? i really like my character but everyone in the server itself is just kinda off..

UPDATE: i left the server and left a very strongly worded review on disboard lmfao, thank you guys!

my dad is in prison and i will finally get to see him

i have incredibly mixed emotions at the moment. my grandmother is in hospice, and my dad was given the go ahead to visit her. we'll all be traveling to see him, and spend a few days with him and my grandma. he gets out in november but i havent spent real time with him outside of conjugal visits for 2 years now. while im excited, its also bringing back so many feelings and resentments ive been holding onto. he was arrested my junior year of high school and was not present for my senior entrance, my 18th birthday (legal drinking age here), graduation, prom, ring ceremony, or college move in. keep in mind, im not from the US and for us at prom, the father will traditionally walk his daughter down. I was the only girl who walked down with her mother, as it was a relatively small class. all that to say, i move back into my dorm in a few months and he wont be there for it either. on the other hand, its my sisters senior year now. he'll get to be there for everything. her 18th birthday, her senior entrance, graduation, prom, college visits, move in, etc. i just cant help but be upset. sure he'll be there for other things, but i just cant help but be angry. i just wanted to share that with somebody. thanks for reading.

How to talk about pup play with my bf?

so before my (19f) now boyfriend (19m) i had always been interested in being dominant but hadnt had the opportunity. with him, ive had the best sex of my life and ive finally gotten to play the more dominant role in the relationship. we've explored some bondage, blindfolds, breathplay, some nicknames, and mostly praise.
however, ive realized i really wanna go farther with it. idk if this qualifies as pup play but specifically just putting him in a collar and leash, and maybe calling him puppy sometimes. we're long distance for a few months while college rolls back around, so it hasnt come up, but i vaguely mentioned wanting to be more dominant recently over dms. his response was "then ill submit" which is a sweet sentiment, but i know he doesnt like pain very much nor being degraded, and i dont know if the leash and all that would be too degrading for him?? how do i start a convo like this? also sorry if this is a basic question, like i said id been submissive in the past so it was never really hard, but being the one who wants to take control, i just wanna make sure i communicate in a way where hes okay with everything, because i know he'd try it just to please me, and i want it to be enjoyable for both parties.i just want advice so i dont communicate this in a way where he feels like he cant say no yk??

how do i politely break off a friendship?

so to briefly summarize. i met this girl at a modeling camp over the summer. she seemed cool at first but i started realizing she was kind of a mean girl. we had a small friend group, and she would talk shit for the dumbest reasons the moment we left the group. also like rarelyy ever justifiably, just straight making fun of the girls. she'd also look at me and laugh whenever we were with them and theyd do smthn she deemed "embarrassing". i tried not to partake in that kinda behavior, but it was always a kinda thing where like, im never gonna talk to this girl again so who cares. one aspect i will say is mostly bad on my part, is i also dont wanna continue a friendship because being around her makes me incredibly insecure. shes tall, very skinny, and very beautiful. ive always considered myself pretty and i know from others that im not ugly by any means, but im short, curvy, and basically just her opposite. being in public with her, i feel almost invisible. also, any time we go out it becomes a photoshoot in which she has me take a million photos of her, and takes 5 of me. we'll go to a party all we'll do is take photos. she invites me to get coffee, and we're finding good spots to take photos. as to why im back in contact with her, id actually unfollowed her and had her unfollow me, bc seeing her on my feed so often just made me pretty insecure. she doesnt live where i do (not from the US),but some of her family lives here so she visits for the summers. she got back in contact with me and asked me to hang, and i said yes as itd been a hot minute and i forgot why i felt so strongly about everything. after hanging out, she goes on to post multiple stunning photos of herself, and includes a single photo of me, where im making a dumb expression, and looks incredibly unflattering, immediately followed up by more flattering pictures of herself. this was pretty much the nail in the coffin and solidified i have no interest continuing a friendship with someone who already doesnt make me feel good, and will post bad photos of me without asking. so whats a good way to go about this?? ive been ignoring her messages, but i dont believe in blocking and moving on. also, i feel bad as im her only friend over here.

women dating their only natural predator: A RANT

i forgot where id watched something about this, but i wholeheartedly cant stop thinking about it. what does it do to a womans mind to date the only being on earth that could rationally harm her. im curious if anyone else has had those moments while play-fighting where they think "god he's actually really strong" and get a little scared of what he might be capable of. those moments during sex where you realize youre naked and vulnerable and if you wanted to stop them youre not sure you could. then men wonder why women say they hate men and tell you about how much they hate feminists, and its because the white man has nothing to rationally fear. he is oftentimes more economically powerful, more socially powerful, and the only thing left to truly fear is mediocrity in the face of other men. thats where looksmaxxing comes in with the goal of being the "top of the food chain". getting with the most women, being the most jacked, being the most well liked, being the manliest, being the most handsome. THAT is what they call the "male-loneliness epidemic" and they blame their sad little competitions on women saying this is what WE expect, that we wouldnt like them if it werent for the looksmaxxing. so while a man is debating about how no girls like him, a woman of the same age is debating whether or not to go home with a man, because the chances of her becoming a statistic are not all that low! all this to say, im sick of men complaining about how much they struggle when they are born into so much privilege simply from the color of their skin and their mismatched chromosomes..

id consider myself a decently creative person, and have always enjoyed things such as art, music, theater, sports, and especially writing. however, i find myself being an incredibly jealous person as i look back and truly cannot think of a single project i have ever completed. whenever something got hard or took too long, i would quit. i even tried to get a dumb phone as i thought that might help, and ive just ended up procrastinating setting the phone up. the only things i can do for the most part is finish books, and even then certain ones become tedious after a while. has anyone else struggled with this? i feel like im not truly good at anything and i just feel mediocre all the time. like i just quit whenever anything becomes mildly complicated. how do i get rid of this mindset? how do i actually get the motivation to do things i love?
