The new travel price match isn't that great

I booked a stay at four seasons for $6100 direct through FS. They have a promo 25% off, so basically 4th night free since that's how long I'm staying.

Chase was charging $8075 since they don't have the promo. I also booked it through Chase, paid with points, which came out to 489k. I submitted a price match and was going to keep whichever one I was happier with because this was my first time doing price match.

Chase approved my price match and only gave me back 89k points. 17% back. Even though the price through FS is literally 25% cheaper. Chase says they don't price match taxes and fees, which I guess I understand but FS wasn't charging me taxes and fees on that 4th night. Chase only price matches the bare nightly rate and doesn't take into account that hotels won't charge you taxes/fees on any "free" nights. So beware if you think booking through Chase and price matching is the same as booking direct through hotels because it's not. I still get the $250 edit credit and $100 property credit so with that I'm breaking even. But I don't like that supposed perks of this $800 credit card only help to break even. They're not really perks at that point.

VOIP would help playing with randos

Typing is annoying and makes coordinating harder. But voip directly in the game would be great. I don't have 4 other friends to play with and talk in discord :(

Any Orlando area FFLs not doing form 4s?

Looking to buy a can in Orlando area from a FFL that's following the court order and not doing form 4s. Do you guys know any?

Director of ATF replied to my DM about the injunction

I saw that he replies to other people's DMs sometimes so I said why not and asked if we were gonna get guidance from ATF or DOJ about who can buy suppressors/SBRs or how to prove inclusion in the injunction. Unfortunately his answer is kind of a typical politician answer. So we gotta keep waiting.

Edit: don't blow up his inbox asking stupid questions or you're just gonna ruin it for future people who want to ask him a question

Seems like every FFL I've seen is paralyzed with fear of selling cans without the NFA process

With only SS and PSA taking the plunge, it seems like it's going to be very simple for the ATF to come out with some fuckery and try to reclassify 4473 cans as NFA items in the future. In the ideal world we would be flooding the market with 4473 cans to make this an impossible undertaking for the ATF in the future. I especially don't understand the fear for FFLs that are in the SS network with SS bought cans.

GOA is reporting DOJ is split on whether to appeal brown v ATF

What do you guys think will happen? GOA sent a blast email claiming DOJ is split on what to do. On one hand, if this goes all the way to scotus it opens a can of worms for other parts of the NFA. I think DOJ wants to avoid that. So I'm wondering if they are choosing not to appeal to prevent further repeals of other parts of the NFA. Either way, we're potentially 10 hours away from freedom on cans and SBRs. I also wonder what exactly the process is going to look like because the injunction is limited to named plaintiffs, which includes any current and future members of GOA and SAF. No idea how gun shops or silencer shop is going to verify that. We're likely going to need detailed guidance from ATF or DOJ

I can't wrap my head around how to label/categorize loan payments

I have a loan for solar panels for $238 a month. When the payment leaves my checking account, it gets categorized as loan repayment. But I also have that solar loan account linked in monarch. How should I label/categorize the payment that is received inside the loan account? Google says it should be labeled as transfer? Is that correct?

Would you purchase a model Y L premium RWD if they made one

I want the YL but I want that 357 miles of range too. So ideally they make one similar to the current model Y (non L) premium RWD. It would be the perfect car. The YL launch edition seems overpriced for what you're getting and also only has 327 miles range

Bought the game but it just feels like a clicking simulator. Am I playing it wrong?

I went through all the tutorials, I've done a couple scenarios and even downloaded some mods and custom scenarios from the workshop. But the game just feels like a clicking simulator. Click your ship. Click a missile. Click a red square on your minimap. Watch your blue square hit the red square. Rinse and repeat. Launch an ASW heli every once in a while. Am I doing something wrong? Or am I not playing the game to it's full extent?

Best connection/cable to use in order to get >1 gig speed between a switch and dream machine SE that are in 2 different rooms

My house has a network closet where all the ethernet of the house terminates into. But this cubby is cramped and my dream machine barely fits in there with my ISP modem. So I want to replace the dream machine with a switch. I'm planning on connecting all the ethernet cables to this switch, then connecting that switch to my DMSE that I will move to another room. I need >1 gig speed at the switch (well at least for the 2 ports for my APs) because I have 2 gig internet. What's the best way to connect the two? I don't think I have enough 2.5 gig Ethernet ports on the switch/DM to use Ethernet

Those of you that have done cost segregation studies and bonus depreciation, was it worth it? What is your plan if/when you sell the property?

I keep seeing ads from real estate influencers about the STR loophole and cost segregation studies etc. But there's no free lunch. What happens if you have to sell the property? Don't you owe back all that money you saved in year 1?

Clandestine repeaters

How frowned upon would it be to use a drone to drop a small solar powered repeater with a hook onto one of the rungs of this tower? The rung picked would be empty and unobtrusive to the existing hardware on the tower....

Edit: seems like the consensus is highly frowned upon lol. A second thought, how does one contact the owner to ask to set up a node on one of these towers? Who owns these types of towers?

Is it ok to have basically 100% of my retirement savings in stocks/funds and 0% bonds/treasuries if I'm far from retirement?

I set my investing automatically each paycheck and forget about i. So I'm not worried about negative returns in the short term or getting cold feet and selling. So is there an issue with this strategy as far as maximizing my returns while retirement is still in the distant future (20 years away)?

Hi all, I got prescribed dupixent for eczema. I registered for the dupixent copay card and gave the pharmacy the info. My insurance approved the prescription. The specialty pharmacy is telling me my copay is $4000. When I call dupixent, they tell me my copay should be $0 since I have the copay card. Did anyone else have this issue? Does dupixent reimburse me if I pay the $4000?
