Selling the A7CII for a Fuji ie X-E5. Anyone else made a similar jump?

Long post, sorry. Trying to think this through out loud.

I bought the A7CII about two years ago when I was creating content for Instagram; travel, video, colour grading, the whole thing. Got to around 22k followers on insta and then hit a wall. The editing process completely burnt me out. The camera and content started feeling like a work obligation.

I now find myself reaching for the GRIII. No edits, straight to phone, done.

The A7CII is a great camera. I have the 24mm, 40mm, and 50mm G primes, plus the 28-60 and the 20-70. I have noticed though I almost exclusively shoot the 40mm. The rest just sits on the shelf. I'm not a professional, I shoot friends, family, and travel.

I've been going back and forth on Fujifilm for ages. Worried it was GAS. But I think there's a difference between buying gear to fix a problem you don't have, and selling gear that no longer fits your life. At least that's what I'm telling myself.

Looking at the X-E5 with the new 23mm f/2.8 pancake as my main setup, probably a small zoom to keep and film simulations mean I can get a look I'm happy with in-camera and occasionally open Lightroom. That's the goal.

Selling the Sony kit should cover the X-E5 body and lens comfortably.

I know the A7cii specs and AF is better, but do I need better? The A7cii hasnt seen much adventure lately, and loves sitting at my desk.

Has anyone gone from Sony full frame to an X-E5 or similar and not looked back? Or regretted it? Genuinely curious whether the "you'll miss full frame" thing is real for this kind of casual shooting.

Cant wait for more EV Wagons

I am a die hard wagon lover and I LOVE my Holden Calais V Wagon! Will dirve it for many years to come but boy am I itching at the sight of these new electric wagons. Zeeker 7GT and the BZ4X Touring look like fantatic wagons, and I cant wait to go test drive one.

Whats everyones thoughts? I even saw BYD has a wagon coming, but its only PHEV.

iPhone Air Thoughts

Picked up the iPhone Air this afternoon in Sky Blue as they didn’t have any other colour in stock, it’s honestly pretty much white anyway. $500 off in Australia at the moment and 50% Air accessories with the purchase.

I haven’t used it much yet apart from setup, but I will say, I haven’t felt this way about an iPhone since I first got the X back in the day. It’s so beautiful, slim and light to hold.

I am thankful to not have a brick in my hands 😂

What slim phone cases are we rocking? I got one from the shop but hate where my pinky goes it feels sharp around the usb c hole…
