Ice sock is extremely helpful!

Bit of an odd one but my mum has an ice sock similar to the one linked below for her foot pain, but I place it on my chest or back ribs when I have a bad bout of costo and it works wonders for me!

You just keep it in the freezer and grab it when you need. I’m sure there are better ice alternatives but I find that the weight, coolness, size and length of the sock are perfect for across the ribs.

Just thought I’d put it out there for anyone who’s willing to try something different (it also massive helps with the heatwave atm!!) 🌞

Is A&E helpful at all?

Hi there,

I’ve had severe crushing in my front and back ribs for 6 days now in what I assume to be costo, this is my first time experiencing anything like this.
I haven’t been sleeping more than 4 hours a night and the pain has completely floored me. I’m 23 and female.

Any advice on going to A&E please, I’m desperate for the pain to ease.

I am already on 120mg slow release dihydracodeine for another health problem and it’s not touching the rib pain in the slightest. I don’t necessarily need a&e to fix anything, the pain is just unbearable especially at night.

A sore throat on and off for 5 months
progressively worse over the last 2 weeks
hoarse/lower voice over the last 2 weeks
severe pain in the throat and neck glands, as well as severe pain at base of skull at night
feeling generally very unwell and exhausted
and a small lump on my right side of throat.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I’m really really struggling.

I’m 23, female, a non smoker & have already tested positive for glandular fever twice in the last 10 years.

I class my endometriosis pain as a near death experience

TW: suicidal thoughts

Has anyone else felt like they’ve unlocked a level of pain you’re not supposed to unlock and your body is not supposed to experience.

My endometriosis has been so bad at times the pain has genuinely not been compatible with life. I’m not suicidal, I have an amazing life with amazing family, friends, social events and job. But sometimes when the cramps are at their worst I don’t feel sad, I don’t feel suicidal, just a practical, without a doubt knowing that this pain isn’t survivable and it needs to stop instantly.

Once I have got through the pain, mostly by burning my skin with scolding hot water and taking max of morphine/oxycodone/diazepam/mefanamic acid/tranexamic acid and paracetamol it’s extremely scary knowing how genuinely unscary those moments before feel the need to die are. No thoughts of friends or family, just the overwhelming knowing that you need to die for the physical pain to stop.

After it happens it feels like a near death experience. I live in the UK but I know with 100% certainty if I had a gun and lived in America I wouldn’t be here. Purely and solely because of the level of pain and how desperate my brain and my body is for it to stop in that moment.

Genuinely, have there ever been a duo of bombshells as boring as Namibia & Victoria

I know bombshells often flop later on in the show as couples are more secure but have there ever been a duo of bombshells joint flop so early on in the show.

(P.S. I bet they are lovely, kind, amazing people irl, and they are undeniably gorgeous. But purely talking in the scope of TV, they are an absolutely BIZARRE casting choice as ‘bombshells’ personality wise from ITV?)

Recommendations/quick fixes for reactivation

I know there’s no actual ‘quick fix’ but I’m having the most awful reactivation causing a sore throat, gland throbbing, swelling, severe migraines and neck pain.

Other than rest and hydration what else can I do, I’m completely bedbound at the moment
