Purchased this HOF ball on eBay. Seller has a bunch a feedback but I didn’t look that closely. Turns out a lot of it was negative. Item was never shipped. He responded a few times and said it was being shipped that day and then that there was an emergency and it was being shipped, etc… then radio silence.
Luckily eBay did the right thing and refunded the order. Don’t buy from sal1809!!
Sold more than I bought for once, so that’s exciting. I was really overwhelmed with the insanity of the show, and probably only made it through 40% of the convention center. Either way, I got some stuff I’m really excited about and my son had a blast. That’s a win in my book.
This ball was in a lot I purchased and I haven’t been able to ID it.
I’m a White Sox fan. Today I picked up a huge lot of signed balls, bats, and mini helmets from the son of a collector who passed. Ive been able to ID a lot of the balls and single signed bats. There is a ton of multi signed pieces and some single signed I havent figured out. It’s super fun trying to figure it all out. Only about 1/4 have been authenticated, but based on the signatures and provenance I have no reason to doubt any of it.
Moving this weekend. Looking to send some things along to new owners. I would love to trade multiples for fewer or sell in bulk. I can take additional pictures or answer any questions. Lots of good stuff to look through!

I have the opportunity to purchase what I consider a “big” card. It’s a 53 Bowman Mantle in an SGC slab. I have looked extensively at the pictures of the listing and the high res images from SGC. They appear to be a perfect match (the serial number is also correct, of course). The guy has a handful of other vintage cards listed. He is local to me and I can see the card in person before paying, but I am curious what you guys would look for to authenticate the slab/card. Am I over thinking this? It’s listed in-line, but on the lower end, of comps, so no red flags there… I’ve just never gone into the 4 figures for a card and I’m gun shy.

Completely forgot I ordered this after seeing it posted here a few weeks ago. My son is a huge Dodgers fan and recently chose to do his 4th grade project on Jackie, so when I saw this pop up I figured “why not”. Showed up today and was a fun little mystery for us to crack together before his Little League game.
58 Gil Hodges in a CGC 2. Not a great return on investment, but I wasn’t expecting it to be. Only real bummer is that it’s a worse example of a card I already own. I plan to let my son keep it as his first vintage slab.
My son pitches and plays 1B, but last night he filled in at C and really enjoyed it. He caught last night with a 1B mitt, which worked because the other was pretty slow, but if he catches someone faster or plays C on a regular basis he’s going to need a proper mitt.
I really wanted grab something used but I checked FB marketplace and there is nothing near us for youth.
What do you guys recommend for something with a relatively easy break in (we’re 1/3 into the season) that will last a couple years? He uses a GG Elite as his main glove.
