first time I've seen this: completed a signing 45 minutes before the deadline
i like to think these players are canonically just random people that my staff finds on the street and call up to the bench when we're in crisis
is this a bottle?
with Sutton, my first season in the Champions League & my first season making an actual title challenge. Was top of the table pretty much the whole time but started choking a few easy matches. Come the final day and the situation was me & chelsea level points, they had +4 GD than me. I could still win the title, but I had to either win when they didnt, draw when they lost, or win by 4 more goals than they won their game (in this case I had to have won 8-0, but i didnt know that since the games were simultaneous) Seemed doable, right? Sure, problem was that their game was Cardiff at home, whilst my game was Brentford away. To be fair, here in the 2040s brentford and Cardiff pretty much swapped places. Brentford is ass and cardiff is mid-table. Anyway, put everybody on attack, and went 1-0 down lol. Trust the process, did the comeback. Then my keeper (who was injured but way superior to my reserve keeper) conceded the 2nd from 2 shots. Subbed him off after we went 3-2 up just before HT. In the second half we were dominating, actually slapped them 5-2. This meant that I needed Brentford to not win at home against cardiff. The game ends, wait for the animation aaaaand... Nothing. Lost the title on goal difference.
Sutton United Football Club, the new Arsenal?
2042 FM is hilarious
that league prediction specially lol. The more you go down from the top and read through the teams, the funnier it gets. Man City on 6th, Aston Villa 4th, Tottenham challenging for UCL, Liverpool in TWELVTH, cardiff in 14 right after getting promoted, and brentford getting the drop. Only thing that remained constant was Arsenal in 2nd lmao
[24] happened to win the Europa League right as we had this save's most surprising UCL winner in Lazio so this was the Supercup matchup lmao
[24] does anyone know how to fix the bug of filters simply refusing to work?
just won the Europa League with Sutton Utd in 2042!
Champions of Europe, you'll never sing that! But seriously though, it was a beautiful story. Started in the Vanarama National, which is the fifth tier of English football, with a Sutton team that If I'm not mistaken at the time was predicted to finish in the lower half of the table. Took me some time, but in 25/26 I got promoted to the 4th tier. Didn't do too well in my first season, then won the title in my second season amazingly. On the 3rd tier I had a poor first season as well, and then with the signing of club legend Leon Amushan (yes, the guy who scored in this Europa final is a 32 year old club legend I signed in League One.) and he took me to yet another title win on my 2nd season in a division. The championship path was tough, but we eventually made it. Had some interesting seasons in the premier league too, even making it to the conference league once, but now my biggest achievement! One day I should probably make a post going in detail on the whole story, but for today is just that. Insane that I started in non-league football and will now play the Champions League next season!
why is this guy so ass? I play him every week and he barely scores, and even when he scores he still gets a 6.5 and we lose due to missed chances. Why? His attributes are nice
2 unbeaten seasons in a row. Exactly 100 matches without a loss in the league. Perfection
*ignore Bilbao nearly getting relegated
I don't know how, but this guy is an absolute beast in my Brazil save. His stats aren't even that good, but his performances are class
So basically this save's goal is to start from my boyhood club and go on to win the world cup with my country. My boyhood club is Bahia, I started there, but eventually moved to Real Madrid, thought there was a higher chance of getting the Brazil job from there. When I got the Brazil job, this guy was the starting keeper. He kept doing well, getting clean sheets, and consistently performing 7.0+ ratings, which is exceptionally rare for a goalkeeper, specially with my attacking tactics and as a SK on attack. On my Real Madrid squad, I needed a proper keeper to avoid getting those unlucky home draws against weaker sides, so I bought him. Already he started 7 matches and only conceded 3, averaging a 7.2 in both La Liga and the Champions League. With 13 agility mind you.
Does anyone know what attribute(s) cause this guy to be so good despite being only 3 stars?
