Buffer Sanity Check

Trying to put together a gentle recoil setup for a 7” buffer tube. Will this setup work? I was looking at the blowback guide and the only 7” tube setup listed is the tungsten setup which is a bit over my head. Thanks.

Quality Grip that holds Glock mags?

Anyone have any grip recommendations that can house a Glock mag, even if it’s press fit.

The reviews on the tritech one seem subpar and the recover tactical one is too flashy looking.

Quirks or features?

I’m decently new to 1911/2011’s. Got two basic questions.

When reloading and putting a magazine in, I notice that the slide releases forward and chambers a round without any slide stop input from me. Is that supposed to happen?

Second question is about dropping the hammer without the slide on, I understand that this shouldn’t be done, just curious about why though. Does it over travel? Or what’s the issue exactly.
