My new Pokemon terrarium

Look at how cute they are! Also, I will never be able to keep my glass as squeaky clean as everyone else. Hard water life and laziness. 🫠

My neighbor's prickly pear vs my prickly pear

Might have forgotten to turn the sprinklers on for an entire year. Was giving my prickly pear a taste of that wilderness life. 😬

I've been accidentally outing myself as a lesbian so work...

So, a long time ago my dad was at a work convention and got a whole bunch of cool knick knacks, and since he works with construction, they gave him one of those cool doodads that you can hang other stuff on. Awesome, he gave me one and I put it on my backpack.

My work bag has a lot of pins because I think they're really cute. A few years ago I decided to show my solidarity by getting some pride pins. And of course I put it on my backpack.

Well, I was just casually browsing YouTube one day and I saw a video about some lesbian lady was interviewing other lesbians at a pride event. They kept talking about carabiners, carabiners, how do you tell if someone else is lesbian? If they have a carabiner. What the heck even is that?

I went on the Google. Oh, it's that hook thing I have. Wait, displaying it is a sign to other lesbians that you're lesbian??

I asked my friends at work if I've been outing myself as a lesbian. They said well yeah, especially because you have it next to your pride pin.

Well, I had to break the news to my husband. Did you know I was a lesbian? He rolled his eyes at me when I said maybe I'm actually a lesbian and you're a gay guy because I took a pic of him with my sister's new husband at their wedding and it makes it look like our husbands got married to each other.

He is so fed up with me hahaha. Anyways, I guess I'm a lesbian now. 🤷‍♀️

Arizona burn unit victims

Recently we've had a heat wave 17 days in a row and counting, temps greater than 115F. My outdoor succulents that have lived out there for months stood no chance. Only a few of my biggest echeveria are still hanging on.

Many didn't make it. The rest are in rehab. 😭

Where to get rid of artificial turf?

We're getting rid of the turf that came with our home, there's two large patches approximately 320 sq ft and 515 sq ft. Feels like kind of a waste to just throw it away because it's still in good condition, I just don't like how hot it makes my yard.

I heard places like animal shelters might need donations but it would need to be cut?

Tips on growing these guys indoors?

I have an othonna herrei, dioscoria hemicrypta, albuca spiralis, and albuca concordiana that I had to relocate indoors in a war against the birds. I know these are mostly winter growers but indoors the temps aren't expected to fluctuate much?

How do I go about signaling natural cycles for them? I have a stephania erecta that I woke by steeping it in water for a day, will that work with any of these guys?

Had a little fun with my 3D printer, some bonsai wire, and terrarium clay

I've yet to find a good way to clean the glass though, my aquarium magnet is a little too big to get in all the books and crannies.

Found this little lady at Goodwill for $15

Bad news: Thrips

Good news: I realized my other plants also had thrips. 🫠

It's time to start a war. It's windy outside. Everything smells like neem oil. I smell like neem oil.

Pretty happy with this new space for my terrariums

Thrifted a $30 TV stand from Goodwill. They were previously crammed on my bedroom side table.

My first carnivorous plants, am I doing this right?

Got these two mystery pings from Rainbow Carnivorous Plants. Any ideas what these ladies are? I've potted them in 1:1:1:1 vermaculite, perlite, pumice, and akadama with the wick watering method because I ran out of fertilizer-free peat moss.

There was an annoying fly buzzing around so I caught it and put it on one of these guys. No idea if that's even appropriate at this stage. Not sure how sensitive these guys are to humidity either because it's 12% humidity where I live so I covered them with a microwave cover for now.

Suggestions appreciated, thanks!

But I'm still not gonna have enough pots 😅

Since it was 50% off at Goodwill yesterday, I went and got myself a bunch of new mugs for my succulents and terrariums, plus a few fancy prop set ups.

Not too shabby for $67. Time to break out the ceramic drill. 💪

What is this mystery plant?

I got this mystery bulb off Temu with no real identification. It's about 3 cm long and I've got it planted in some gritty mix.

Need help with variety pack ID

It came in a box labeled The One Bloom if that helps. Supposedly there are 12 different varieties but I keep counting more than that?

Just got these guys acclimated to full sun

Still pretty new to this, but I think they look pretty healthy(?) Constructive feedback is much appreciated. ❤️
