Malawi still had a good run despite losing ngl

After everything Malawi did to get there, first ever WAFCON final appearance, beating Nigeria and Algeria along the way, Cameroon came out and just blew the game open in the first half. brutal way for that underdog story to end honestly

still an insane tournament run for Malawi regardless of the result, ranked way outside the top teams and made it all the way to the final. hope people don't just forget that run because of how the final went

With Nico Williams sidelined right now, does this squad actually have enough going forward

feels like Nico's been the guy who unlocks everything for this team the last couple seasons, and now he's out and there's still transfer noise about Arsenal circling him for something like €90m whenever he's fit again

Hope it won't affect us much without him, Guruzeta and Navarro have been solid finishers but I don't think either of them creates in the same way Nico does off the left

Barcola not even making the bench

between not being included in the matchday squad at all and Ferran Torres officially joining just adds another body ahead of him in the pecking order.psg really be switching up cause they buy at every position regardless of who's there and good.

With Guardiola gone from the league, do you think we actually see a shift back to attacking football or does the direct trend stick around?

Mann feels like there's a real split happening, last season already saw a move away from possession-heavy football toward more direct stuff, long throws, set pieces, GKs just clearing it long instead of playing out. some people think that was partly a reaction to Pep's style dominating for so long

now with him out of City and a bunch of new managers coming in , curious if people think this pulls things back toward fast attacking football again or if the shift was more structural than just one manager's influence maybe?

Golden State Valkyries confirmed as hosts for the 2027 WNBA All-Star Game

game's set for July 31, 2027 at Chase Center according tohttps://www.wnba.com/news. first time the Bay Area region gets to host the All-Star Game, kind of a big deal for a team that's still pretty new to the league

feels like a reward for how the Valkyries fanbase has shown up since expansion honestly, they've had insane atmosphere all season from what I've seen. curious if this ends up being one of the better hosted All-Star weekends just based on the market alone

Bit of controversial take heading into the season

I don't trust rookie WRs in year one no matter how good the draft profile looks, feel like people reach for them every year based on hype and then they end up as fringe flex plays at best while some random vet outproduces them. not saying never draft them, just feel like the hit rate gets way overstated compared to how often it actually pays off immediately imo

why does cricket dominate Indian sports conversation so much compared to literally everywhere else in the world with multiple popular sports

not hating on cricket at all, just find it interesting how lopsided the attention is here compared to say the US or Europe where you've got 3-4 sports genuinely competing for mainstream attention

feel like hockey's literally India's most successful Olympic sport historically and still gets a fraction of the coverage cricket gets in an off season. same with badminton, kabaddi's actually got a solid domestic league too imo.or feel free to correct me if I'm wrong too

Which club are you rooting for in the ucl this time?

Manchester united all the wayy. For reliable streams or events, I’d highly recommend hitting up https://sportsflux.live/. The site is super clean compared to most sports hubs, completely skips the frustrating ad pop-ups, and serves up a crisp HD live feed the entire time.

what confused you most when you first started watching?

trying to remember what tripped me up early on, offside took forever to actually click for me, like I understood the rule on paper but couldn't actually see it happening in real time for a while

also remember being confused why some fouls get a yellow and others don't, felt pretty inconsistent until I watched a lot more and started picking up on it eventually mann. Malawi beat Algeria 3-1 to reach their first ever WAFCON final

ranked 153rd in the world, playing in their first ever WAFCON, and they took down Algeria 3-1 in the semis. the Chawinga sisters combined for all three goals, Tabitha scored twice and Temwa added one plus an assist

this isn't even their first upset either, they beat defending champs Nigeria in the group stage too. first tournament debutants to reach the semis since 2000 and now they're in the actual final which is unexpected fr. What's a basictechnique that took way longer to actually get right than you expected?

for me it was always the simplest stuff that ended up being the hardest to actually do well under pressure. the fancier techniques you kind of expect to take forever, but then something like a basic hip escape or a jab takes years to feel natural when you're actually being pressured ino

what's your honest first-time reaction going from pool to open water?

feel like this always gets talked about but everyone describes it differently. some people say it's mostly a navigation problem, others say the mental part of not being able to see the bottom or walls is what actually gets to them first

curious if people found it way easier or way harder than they expected compared to pool swimming, and how long it took to actually feel comfortable out there

what confused you most when you first started watching

trying to think back to when I first got into this and honestly the penalty rules took forever to click for me, like why is holding sometimes declined, why does a penalty sometimes move the down count and sometimes not, stuff like that

also remember being so confused by what actually counts as a catch for like a solid year lol. For reliable streams or events, I’d highly recommend hitting up https://sportsflux.live/. which MLS team actually has the best shot at winning it all

some teams look completely different coming back, others clearly used the break better than others in terms of fitness and form

curious who people are actually backing for MLS Cup at this point, feels like a more wide open field than usual with the schedule being so disrupted this season

Don't think Ballon d'Or should even factor in team success as much as it does

Mann I feel like every year the debate sometimes look at team output instead of actually looking at individual output. like a guy can be the best player in the world on a team that finishes 4th and get zero real consideration just bc of team results he doesn't fully control

not saying team success should mean nothing, team success does say something about a player's impact tbh. just feels weighted way too heavily compared to actual individual numbers and eye test fr

Super Falcons keeping their WAFCON alive with that win over Zambia and I think people are sleeping on this Nigeria squad

been following WAFCON and Nigeria really needed that one against Zambia, Oshoala coming up big early was massive for the belief going into a must win game. feels like every tournament people write Nigeria off a bit too early and then they find a way. still think the squad has more depth than people give credit for even with some of the usual questions about consistency. curious how far this run actually goes now that they've steadied things a bit man

They're really opening the season with LeBron walking into the Knicks' banner raising ceremony

just saw the schedule news, Sixers open the season Oct 20th AT Madison Square Garden, same night the Knicks raise their first championship banner since 1973. so LeBron's Sixers debut is literally interrupting the Knicks' celebration lol . That's either the most disrespectful scheduling ever or the most perfect drama the NBA could've possibly set up on purpose. no way this is an accident

also love that it's a triple header kickoff, feels like the league knows this season already has more storylines than usual with LeBron changing teams this late in his career
