Hey nubs, I hear you like dropping balls - balls with faces, that are alive, and can feel pain - onto pegs to earn points.

I'm making a nubby-like game. Ballisticards is a roguelite deckbuilder with physics jammed into it. I think that my fellow nubs will enjoy it, and the mods have allowed me to share this little bit of self-promo with you.

I love Nubby, and I'm thinking of ways to include a "Nubby homage" in the game. I'm leaning towards Finger Puppet. Or - dare I dream - Nubby himself as a playable ball?! Suggestions are welcome.

I can't reach the peak modern graphic stylings of MogDogBlog, so instead I had to settle for hand-drawing everything with a stylus.

My wife and I see coasters like these in thrift shops in Victoria all the time. Why/how are Victorians acquiring - then giving away - these things?

I'm making a physics-based deckbuilder, called "Ballisticards"

Hey fellow rogues,

I'm developing Ballisticards, a roguelite where deckbuilding and physics collide.

  • Drop balls on your cards to start physics-based chain reactions, governed by trajectory, mass, friction, bounciness, etc.
  • Upgrade your cards with stickers and paint to increase the chaos.
  • Solo developed and hand-drawn by a roguelite-obsessed gamer.

My dream: to one day scroll through this sub and see Ballisticards on someone's tier list (hopefully in the top half!).

I’ve spent the last year as a solo dev working on Ballisticards. I wanted to take the strategic gameplay of roguelite deckbuilders and smash a physics engine into it.
