Cloudiness

Cloudiness

I have a 37gal tank for two goldfish. I have had them for about a month. Early on a treated the tank with blue ick tablets. Since then, the tank is perpetually blue/cloudy. I have drained half the tank and refilled 4x, changed the filter, tried Prime and water clarifier, and scrubbed the glass walls. I have pulled out all the fake plants and cleaned them. Picture of tank is today right after I drained half of it and refilled it.

How do I get the cloudiness to go away?

External Riser?

Bought this house that was a flip. Flipper installed a trex deck over the existing concrete patio, so the deck is right below the house bib. Without having to physically raise the house bib along the wall, is there an external riser or something I can do along the exterior of the wall to raise this a few inches?

Ravenden Real Estate

Heard about the Ravdenden all white-white community today. Thinking about buying up nearby land just to surround them with non-racist folk.

Where is their stupid community located?

Finished Basement Ductwork

I’m working with an architect to design my finished basement. There is existing duct that is at 6’4” to the bottom of the duct. Sound is an issue, so I am hoping we can do a finished ceiling with soundproofing. If we do that, the height at the duct will be 6’, which is low and doesn’t meet code.

Is there a way to replace the duct with wider, yet shallower duct? Any ideas on how to increase the floor to bottom of duct?

Steel beam will be a separate issue/question.

How would you improve the fireplace area?

Purchased our home a year ago. It’s a very open concept ranch, and was a flip from the previous owner. Fireplace is standard fireplace, I have not had chimney inspected but hope to replace it with gas someday.

Pic of dog just because he’s cute.

AIO my partner went on my Facebook and blocked my exes

My partner (27M) has severe retroactive jealousy, to the point that he would go on my (36F) Facebook and look at pictures from when I was in college and flip out at me about why I don’t look like I did in college. I ended up removing and blocking him on Facebook and that seemed to resolve that issue. We have been together for a when and have a young baby and a home together. I don’t really use Facebook. I just logged on because we are throwing a housewarming party, and I wanted to add my partner as a cohost. I went to unblock him and saw that among him, there were a bunch of my exes blocked. I knew at 2 years ago he went on my FB and unfriended them, but he never mentioned he also blocked them. I am pretty pissed, not about the guys, but about my privacy.

Getting ahead of the comments about the age difference - it is what it is, we love each other and have started a wonderful family together. If the genders were reversed there would be less scrutiny.

Our LO is 8 months old and in daycare, both my and my SO work full time. My partner drops her off at 7am, and I usually pick her up at 4:30pm. So far she has had to come home from daycare three times, all three times I was the one who left work to pick her up and then stayed with her the entire day. Last week I was having severe anxiety/depression, so my partner left work at 4 instead of 5 every day to pick her up. Yesterday she had a temp at daycare and needed to get picked up, so I left work to do it. He said that he would stay home with her today. I WFH on Tuesdays, so this is very helpful. Now here we are this morning, and he says "She's going to be watching a lot of Miss Rachel today so I can work". On top of this, earlier he made a comment about how I should be the one staying home because he makes more than me "Look at our paychecks". So obviously I'm upset, we don't usually give her a lot of screen time, and his offer of staying home with her was just kind of BS. When I bring this up, he says that he left work early every day last week. To be clear, he worked over 9 hours every day, he makes his own hours, and often he works late. So now I feel like he wasn't really trying to help me last week, that it was just another thing he holds over my head. When I am telling him how frustrated and annoyed I am, he then starts gaslighting me and saying "you are just arguing with yourself". So he drops these little bombs, I get upset, and then he blames me for getting upset.

Things like this happen all the time. I feel like his time with our child is always transactional. Meanwhile almost every weekend he has golfed, played lacrosse, or hung out with friends. The only time I hang out with friends is planned way in advance, they come over, or I bring the baby with me. IDK I just need to vent. I never get a real break.

My LO is 8months, but she is large. Her length is the size of a 12mo old and she is over 20lbs. She doesn’t fit into her current carrier anymore.

Any suggestions for a baby carrier for the next stage of her babyhood?
