In your opinion, what’s the best chicken breed and WHY?

Currently my family members are debating breeds between us, and considering things like cold tolerance, foraging ability vs predator risk, egg production, feed efficiency, resiliency and overall health, etc. Especially if we face supply chain issues, food shortages, or other crap scenarios in the coming years. What’s your preferred breed in a best case vs worst case scenario?

Online hrt scripts?

I’m moving from a big city with compounding pharmas for specific scripts to a very rural area. I have several months stockpiled to give me time. Who is the best online pharmacy for the following very dialed in scripts: 140mg P, 0.1 estradiol patch, and 2mg T cream?

Or if it’s unlikely to find those things, what changes to my scripts should I discuss with my doctor? Thanks for any insights!

Vegetable gardening advice

We are moving from zone 9 to zone 6 this week. We have 1/4 acre garden and a few fruit trees. We weren’t planning to plant much this year since we will be getting settled in and have no prep whatsoever. lol But would there be some simple things we could start in the ground in June or July that are easy to source and care for for first year newbies? What would you suggest?

Psyllium husk is a game changer for chronic constipation

I’ve dealt with chronic constipation for decades due to insane food intolerances, chronic stress, celiac, and other issues. Dietary changes, meds, supplements, essential oils, milk of mag, various detox …everything would help a little but not enough.

Currently I’m undergoing a IV treatment with my MD for major nutrient deficiencies which was causing massive detox symptoms. More than it should. Like putting me in bed for 1-2 days after treatment. We couldn’t figure it out but she hypothesized that my body couldn’t expel the toxins fast enough through the colon and I might be reabsorbing them.

Instead of a med, she told me to soak 1 tb of ground psyllium husk in at least 8 oz of water daily (taken away from supplements or meds). Took about 3 days of no movement and then a massive release of what felt like years of constipation, and then clockwork regularity since. My detox symptoms are gone and my bloating from foods is already massively decreased (like 95%). It’s only been a week.

No diet changes, no hydration changes, no new supplements or protocols. Just psyllium. Has the consistency of applesauce and doesn’t taste like much of anything. I take with lunch so it’s away from supplements and meds. 10/10

We move to our homestead in two weeks so I’m daydreaming over here and would love a contact high from your fav little moments to get me through. lol

I’m talking about stuff like holding your breath while you dig up potatoes, unsure if it’s a good harvest and you get the absolute ecstasy of big, huge potatoes.

What are your favorite little joys like that?

I’ve been on hrt for 18 months. Had a hysterectomy two months ago, only one ovary remains.

0.1 estradiol patch, 140 mg progesterone capsules and just recently, 2mg of T cream. I still feel like a hot mess in the week before I would’ve had my period. I get depressed, tired, irritable, tired, achy, tired, low stress tolerance, did I mention tired? All my normal pms symptoms, not even slightly improved.

Shouldn‘t I NOT be having hormonal swings with a steady stream of hormones to balance me out? I see my doc again tmrw. What should I be asking about?

ETA: I’m 44, perimenopause and it hit like a Mack truck If that matters. No slow creep onset, just a seemingly overnight change that was unbearable around my cycle. I also deal with histamine intolerance pretty intensely, possible MCAS.

I have an old website through WP, hosted on cloudflare through a private host. We are doing a hard pivot in the business, new url, hosted on godaddy and built through html. But we have 300+ old links floating around the internet that we want to redirect.

How do I leave my private host, move to godaddy, ditch WP, and redirect 300+ URLs to their exact location? (not a blanket redirect to the new homepage but each link to its new home)

I don’t know what to google to get the right tutorial and not mess this up. SMH

ETA: I’m hoping to do away with cloudlfare entirely for this. Just as simple as possible to keep the old domain alive and redirecting.
