I live in the south and I live in a townhouse/apartment.

And the Summers over here get really hot, especially this year. Like we would get weekly heat advisories of the temp reaching almost 108° hot.

And I think because of that, my electric bill has been more expensive than I'm used to. I live by myself so I'm used to paying maybe between $60 to $80 but the last couple of months I'm almost reaching $200 for my electricity. And I'm pretty sure it's all because of my AC blasting because of the constant heat waves.

I've tried setting my thermometer to 75° which is recommended but I still get an expensive electric bill and my AC is still screaming and going off almost every hour to cool down my apartment.

I'm wondering because I saw one of my neighbors get a window AC unit for their bedroom, if getting one of those would save me money?

And I can just keep my internal AC unit off more often?

I remember my grandma having one of those things and it kept the room chilly and nice, especially during the summer heat waves.

I'm also looking getting a box fan in general as an option.

So would switching help save me money or do these window ACs just cost more money to maintain and cost more electricity?

I'm finally coming back to Sims 3 and I wanted to download some CC houses and clothes I liked but.....

WHY IS THE DOWNLOAD LIST BEHIND A PAYWALL!?!?!

WHY DO WE NEED TO PAY TO LOOK AT ALL OF OUR DOWNLOADS?!?!?

I get its a big website and they have to make money to keep the lights on but the things they paywall is ridiculous.

I took a break from the sims thus Mod The Sims. When I made the account it was with an old email account that was disabled for awhile by Yahoo.

I did re enable it by logging into it but I can't get any verification email from MTS so I can see my download history.

I can't DM any admins or use the forums because that requires verification and the discord seems pretty dead.

Is the verification system not working or should I just make a new account and cut my loses? I hate to lose my download history and my favs ;-;

I made a post last night saying that people shouldn't be so upset about people choosing counter picks.

And I legit got answers from some folk saying it's bad etiquette and it's a low skill move if someone counterpicks them.

Like, are we being so for real right now???

If blizzard didn't want you to counterpick or swap heroes, it wouldn't be a part of the game.

It's not in bad taste or loser behavior if someone chooses to adapt to help their team win a game. No one is entitled to a win. I know that's hard to hear but it's true.

And folks should not take it so personally, lol.

Someone isn't a weak player because they counter you.

I got out of a game where at first my team was getting stomped but we swapped our picks around to counter the other team and was able to do a complete come-back! Our Junkrat and Sierra were putting in the work against their Ram and Dva which was a huge help with us regaining the lead.

At the end of the game, someone on the enemy team said we only won because we chose "spam heroes".

(Mind you, this player was already being toxic in chat by saying LOL anytime they killed someone with their Freja.)

This wouldn't have bothered me so much but this isn't the first time I've seen players whine about their hero pick being countered.

Like, bro. You are allowed to counter back!

"You guys only won because you had to counter us." "Imagine countering in QP.";Complaints like that I've seen.

It's just so wild. Do y'all not know what game your playing?? XD

Edit: I feel like I'm having an aneurysm reading some of these replies clearly from salty people who've been countered before.

It's literally part of the game. There's no imaginary etiquette that says someone is not allowed to counter your pick if it means their team can win.

Some of y'all should do what you're suggesting other players do, accept the loss 😂

Someone is not a skill-less drone because they decided to put Sombra bullets up your Widow's ass when they realized playing a Symmetra wasn't working.

You must have some serious ego issues if you believe no one should be allowed to adapt and beat you.

I was thinking about it a while ago since the reveal of Wren.

I'm still on the fence that there is an 80% chance that this is their incest baby.

Because how crazy, for example, if this was Ashley's baby that she had with some random guy?

Like how different would you guys think things would be if there was an innocent baby involved in their bullshit? Like how different would the timeline diverge?

I know some people would think that Ashley would never get involved with some random guy because of her attachment to Andrew, but this is a what-if scenario. Plus, Ashley is a teenager who would do irresponsible teenage things when you take account of her uncaring parents.

Plus, keeping with the toxic angle, what if she thought being a teen Mom would make Andrew pay more attention and willing to submit to her whims in the long run?

So I'm thinking about switching to Mint mobile to save some money because I'm sick of straight talk.

I really don't use a lot of data so I see no need to spend $40 a month.

My only hesitation is I don't want to lose my phone number so I want to go ahead and switch to an Esim to start my new phone service as soon as possible.

But I do want to get a physical SIM card.

I heard there's trouble trying to switch from an esim to a physical SIM card??

I've been keeping up with the Nintendo v Pocketpair lawsuit on and off for the past couple of months.

I've been seeing essays and videos being done on this lawsuit and even creators that I thought were smart don't understand what Nintendo is doing with this lawsuit.

Nintendo was never looking to win this lawsuit. Folks really need to look up the term SLAPSUIT.

So every time I see these videos of people talking about how Nintendo is getting destroyed in court or Nintendo's taking an "L" because they're changing up what they're suing for...... IT MAKES ME WANT TO SCREAM AND SHAKE SOME SENSE INTO FOLKS.

A slap suit is not about winning. It's about making a court case go on as long as possible to try to bankrupt/financially destroy your opponent.

So, no.

Palworld is not winning and Nintendo is not taking an "L" the longer this court case goes on.

Nintendo is a billion dollar company and has more finances to keep this court case going on indefinitely if they wanted.

I feel like sooner or later Palworld devs are going to have to bend because they can't outpay Nintendo lawyers.

I get people want to have optimism for this case but the longer it goes on the more I'm starting to see which way the wind is blowing for Pal World devs.

I keep getting stuck after fast traveling.

The screen will fade to black for a moment and when my screen reappears, my character is stuck in place and my ui is gone.

I'm new to Fallout 4 and I've pretty much have gotten caught up with establishing and building up my settlements instead of doing the main quest, haha.

I'm not the most creative builder so I downloaded the blueprint mod to help with making my settlements look nice but I've run in a problem.

A ton of blueprints requirements ask for players to have all the DLC and I only have the basegame at the moment and just don't feel like downloading the DLC right now.

I've tried filter out the dlc blueprints and Nexus but it doesn't work because ALOT OF PEOPLE DON'T PROPERLY TAG. So, its been pretty much a bust.

So, I'm wondering have anyone of you come across blueprints or have blueprints that don't require DLC that I can use for my settlements??

It would be a big help!

I bought this Roomba second hand off Facebook.

It's been doing well the past couple of months, but I decided to try running it without the app because I was getting tired of having multiple Wi-Fi connections open.

Now when I try to run it without the app or Wi-Fi it just refuses to run.

I set it in my bedroom and pressed the clean button several times. It'll make its startup sound but refuse to do anything. I've even tried booting it and still nothing.

I'm getting very frustrated and I'm so close to getting rid of this thing 😅

This happens occasionally; tanks being soft.

I mainly play support when I'm not tanking and I have to say: *You're not built to be a tank if you're going to be scared to fight.*

I've seen way too many matches be lost because the tank is just backing up and backing up To the point they're giving up ground, the point, and ending up right behind their squishy teammates because they took some damage. They are simply too scared to engage😂

Especially when there is Zarya. Like stand-up and fight back, lil bro!

Edit: I do understand and know it's a balancing act as a tank to be engaging in fights and not diving and leaving your team to die 😂

I'm still a bit new to ONI and I'm on cycle 83. I'm starting to noticed my wires will flash between orange and red all the time.

I thought it was just a battery issue so I"m upgrading them but things are still breaking! And I'm starting to have a heating problem.

I've been holding off the overheating problem by building ice sculptures and ice wallpaper from a mod I have then letting them melt; Plus using the ice fan.

The heating problem is getting so bad that I had to switch on sandbox mode to keep my everything cool with the heat gun so it didn't get any worse XD

I built insulation near my other dupe room because there is a steam vent near by. Should I just try to destroy it??? Its also causing heating problems.

I kind of hold on to the belief that Hajime Isayama is a good writer.

I just think he fell into the old manga curse of being tired of your own story and wanting to be done with it. I've seen it happen to plenty of manga where the publisher wants more and more of the story but the mangaka just wants to move on.

I didn't read it, but I think the most recent example I can think of is JJK. Ive just seen from fan reactions and reviews that the writing fell off towards the end.

So I'm wondering where you guys think the story should have ended?

I know some people hate stories that don't answer every single question but I do believe those types of endings can work. It's okay that some things are left to mystery and theorizing.

At what point is it just bad writing and the creator is trying too hard too to make their OC likeable but it starts going in the opposite direction?
