Should I turn off Auto-Accept and Auto-Offers for a high value collectible? I would not be able to vet a buyer if they accept the Auto-Offer or they send an offer that is within the Auto-Accept threshold.

I am selling a high value collectible that is worth $1200+. My worry is that with Auto-Accept and Auto-Offers there is no real way for me to vet someone if they have lots of negative reviews or feedback if they accept the Auto-Offer I send or if they send an offer that gets Auto-Accepted. I would be force to ship that item out and risk losing a lot of money. My question is do you guys think I should have these option off and just leave it as a standard Buy It Now with minimum offer?

Does the method to test if you’ve been sh*dowb*nned on Hinge by trying to make a purchase still work?

My current account on Hinge is 3 years old and I would consistently get 1 - 2 matches a month on it. I haven’t gotten 1 match since Jul 7th which was over 1 month ago even though I use Hinge everyday and haven’t made any changes to my profile. I also stopped getting recommendations being shown in the app or the emails. I also live in a big city (Los Angeles County) with millions of people so I doubt I’ve run out. Does the method to test if you’ve been shadowbanned by seeing if you can make a purchase still work in confirming if you’re shadowbanned or not? I can get to the screen that ask you to enter your credit card info when trying to buy boost, roses or HingeX.

I heard that some internet plans are getting a $10 price increase. I currently have Spectrum Internet Advantage which is $50 per month, but I have a promo for $25 off that last until Jan 2027. Will I see a price increase?

I read that some people are seeing price increases on their internet and T.V. plans. Some people are saying they are seeing a $10 increase for internet along with speed increases and a $5 increase for T.V. on certain plans. I currently have Spectrum Internet Advantage which is $50 per month for 100 mbps and I have a promo (not price lock) of $25 off that last until Jan 2027. I also have T.V. Select Signature which is $130 with a promo (not price lock) of $35 off that also last until Jan 2027. Will I be seeing any price increases on my August 15th 2026 statement? My last statement which was July 15th 2026 did not mention anything.

Is there anyway to know if a listing is going to be shipped via eBay International Shipping Program? I Opted In on the Shipping Preference setting page and it said Enrolled but I'm still paranoid that if my item sells I would be stuck with a high international shipping cost.

So I decided to have one of my listing available to international buyers by using eBay International Shipping. I had the option to Opt In on the Shipping Preference setting page and I did that. It now said Enrolled. I was wondering is there anyway to see if eBay International Shipping is enabled for a listing? My biggest worry is that somehow eBay International Shipping said its enabled but not for my current listing and I would be stuck with a HUGE international shipping cost bill if someone buys my item. I do see that my item now doesn't just say "Ship to Puerto Rico, United States" anymore, but instead has a huge list of places its ships to internationally, but I don't see anything on the actual listing that said eBay International Shipping enabled.

On the "Revise" page it does say this under International Shipping

Sell globally with eBay International Shipping

Your listing will show up for buyers worldwide, where applicable. Ship to our domestic shipping hub, and we'll handle the rest, including customs and returns—at no extra cost to you.

To people that sell high value collectibles ($1000+) how much would I hurt my listing and the chances to sell my item if I change it from the current best offer setting to only a Buy It Now setting?

I have a very high value collectible for a very well known gaming franchise. I currently have it listed for $1350 Buy It Now with Best Offers starting at $1000. So far I've gotten 3 lowball offers...one was $650 another was $800 and another was $100. They were all auto-declined. I was thinking about turning off offer entirely and just leaving it at $1350 Buy It Now. How much would that affect my listing like if someone really wanted this would they just use the Buy It Now?

Some context about this item. There was about only 200 - 1000 of these given out as a reward back in 2008. Its been almost 20 year so finding complete sets is very rare. Partial set which only contain 2 of the 4 parts that would make it a complete set have sold for $1034 and $1474 in July alone. Another complete set like mines with a more pristine looking box sold for $1500 in Jul as well. Currently there is only two sets of these on sale probably in the whole entire world in which the other set being sold on ebay is missing one of the parts that makes it complete. So mines is the only fully complete set available for sale right now.

My listing has been up for 8 days so far and has 82 views and 7 watches and I average maybe 1 - 7 views per day.

Is it a good or bad idea in the description to reference recent sales of the same item as yours to give buyers an idea if what you would take for it as an offer?

I have a high value collectible listed. So far in the month of July there has been 2 incomplete sets of this collectible meaning it was missing some of the parts that would make it a complete set sold for $1043 and $1474. A complete set sold for $1500. I have a complete set that I have listed for $1350 Buy It Now with offers starting at $1000, but I'm getting really lowball and insulting offers of $650 and twice $800. The high value collectible probably only has less then 100 maybe even less then 50 complete sets in the world and I currently have the only complete set that is up for sale probably in the world too. I was thinking of writing something in the description that references those recent sales so that people know what to offer. There is no way in hell I would take anything below $1000.

Concerned about my package. Its insured with ShipCover but I was wondering how quickly do they reimbursed for possible lost package?

So I shipped out a package from Los Angeles using Priority Mail that is supposed to go to Newark NJ. The thing is its been stuck at the City of Industry Distribution Center for over 24 hours and its supposed to be delivered tomorrow Jul 23rd which I do not believe will happen if its traveling by ground, it would have to be put on a plane today to make it there on time. It hasn't even left the state yet. This was the last scan:

How easy is it to file a lost package claim with ShipCover if I have to?

How good and how easy is it to deal with ShipCover? I'm shipping a GameCube in its Retail Box which is also valuable too. Mine was in good condition which is why it sold for so much. I'm kind of worried about it.

I sold my Nintendo Game with its good conditioned retail box. It sold for a good amount because the box was in good condition and I included all the original inserts, bags and the console and controller looked great too. Anyways one of the reasons why it sold for so much is because the box was still in good condition and collector like to have the GameCube box because its so rare to have a good conditioned box nowadays since the console itself is 20 years old. I did everything in my power to protect the box wrapping it inside a foam T.V. screen bag and then wrapping that entire thing in 3 layers of bubble wrap on the sides and the top and then putting that inside a box surrounded by packing paper. I also cut out thick cardboard pieces from calendars, folded them into 90 degree angles and place them on the four corners of the shipping box. Everything feel snug inside. I'm still worried a rogue postal worker will smash the box or something worst happening which is why I bought ShipCover insurance for an additional $5.17. How good and easy is it to deal with ShipCover should the package arrive crumple to the buyer? This is something that is not replaceable in the sense that they stopped making GameCube a while ago so I would have to get some kind of compensation if something happened to it.

Does ShipCover still covers you if you drop your package off at an authorize USPS, UPS or FedEx shipper rather then official? There is a authorize UPS, FedEX and USPS shipper near me that I would like to drop my package off at rather then drives miles away to an official location.

So I might have to ship an item that will cost around $310. Its not too big at around 14 x 12 x 10. Anyways I have UPS Stores around me, but they are all driving distance away. There is a local authorize shipped literally a block away from me that I can go to. They have very good ratings on Yelp so I would like to use them to drop of the UPS $310 item. I will be buying ShipCover for it so I was wondering does dropping it off at an authorize UPS shipper rather then an official one like a UPS store void it?

If my listing of used CIB worn SNES games gets immediate offers and views is it possible that I listed the price too low lol?

I was literally shocked when after 10 minutes of my listing of some CIB worn low to mid-tier SNES games that are individually sold for like $20 - $30 got immediate offers. I'm wondering if maybe I screwed myself by listing it too low so I had to raise the price of the Buy It Now and minimum offer price.

These were the games in the listing:

Spider-Man X-Men Arcade's Revenge - CIB (worn box)

Primal Rage - CIB (worn box)

T2 The Arcade Game - CIB (worn box)

Jurrassic Park - CIB (worn box)

Taz-Mania - CIB (worn box)

Pitfall The Mayan Adventure - CIB (worn box)

Urban Strike - CIB (worn box)

Top Gear - Very worn and flat box with booklet

X-Men Mutant Apocalypse - Cartridge and Booklet

I had it all listed at a $230 Buy It Now with $180 offer and immediately got 2 separate offers 22 views and 1 watch in about 10 - 20 minutes of listing. So now I raised the price up to $280 and $210 starting offer. The $180 offer did not get canceled after the price increase.

Need some advice on possibly shipping a high value item. If the item sells should I use USPS Registered Mail with Priority Mail or use ShipCover with Priority Mail and signature confirmation?

I have a high value item listed that is worth between $1,500 - $2,000. If the item sells what's the most common, secure and overall best way to ship it? Is it better to just have everything go through eBay so pay for USPS Priority Mail along with ShipCover insurance and signature confirmation on eBay after the seller pays or should I pay for USPS Priority Mail and then take it to the USPS Post Office and add on USPS Registered Mail too? I've never shipped anything this high valued before like highest was for an item that sold for $150. I also read that it much easier to deal with eBay ShipCover insurance then USPS if anything goes wrong.

Shipping video games like PS1, PS2, GameCube and SNES games in hot weather like 98 degrees Fahrenheit (36 degrees Celsius)?

Has anyone had any issues with shipping PS1, PS2, GameCube and SNES games in hot weather especially warping or damage or the plastic boxes or disc? I currently have multiple listings for these games and they usually include the plastic case, inserts, manuals and for the SNES the cardboard box and I'm worried about shipping them because its going to be 98+ degrees Fahrenheit (36+ degrees Celsius) this week where I live. Its probably going to be even hotter inside the USPS trucks and vans.

All of them are going to be wrapped inside bubble wrap. The PS2 and GameCube games are going to shipped inside bubble mailers while the PS1 and SNES will be shipped inside a box. SNES also has a clear plastic case around it wrapped with bubble wrap before being put inside a box.

Can someone give me an honest factual answer? If you ship out an order to an address that turns out to be a "freight forwarding" company and it gets mark "Delivered to Agent" by USPS then are you free from any sort of liability afterwards?

I sold something to a buyer and its packed up nice and secure. When I shipped it off I had no idea that the address I was shipping to was a freight forwarding company until I looked up the location on googled map and it showed a warehouse. I asked the buyer via ebay messaging system and they confirmed they are using a "freight forwarding company" called "Aramex". Reading some of the google reviews and the low 1 star has me worried. The package was delivered by USPS to the freight forwarding company with the last scan saying

Delivered to Agent

Delivered to Agent, Front Desk/Reception/Mail Room

SARASOTA, FL 34249

July 7, 2026 4:12 PM

If anything happens from this point forward because now the freight forwarding company is handling the package am I free from liability? What would I do or what would happens if the buyer tries to open does not work or item is broken return / refund request?

Can some please tell me how do freight forwarder work? Does a package still get mark as Out for Delivery and then Delivered by the USPS if its sent to a freight forwarder? Apparently I shipped to one in Sarasota Florida which is probably MyUS.

So I had no idea this was a thing at all. I just saw that the buyer had a US address in Sarasota Florida so I thought this was just a straight forward transaction. Well apparently that address is actually a warehouse looking place like a freight forwarder. I've never heard of this kind of a business until now and I'm now worried. The package was a $150 item too. My question is how does shipping to a freight forwarder work and also do packages still get marked as Out for Delivery and then Delivered if its final destination is a freight forwarding company?

The package is supposed to actually be delivered today July 6th. The last scan was

On the Way

Arrived at USPS Facility

SARASOTA, FL 34238

July 5, 2026 6:21 AM

It currently not marked as Out for Delivery. Gemini AI tells me that sometimes if its a freight forwarder that you shipped to the status will go from something like On the Way to Delivered because USPS doesn't scan the packages for Out for Delivery but instead loads them all up in a single pallet and then scan them all at once at the freight forwarding company late in the day. Gemini also said that sometimes the freight forwarding company has a system setup that is integrated with USPS and when they receive the pallet they individually each thing and you would randomly see your package go from On the Way to Delivered when they do that.

Do you withhold or avoid selling items that are sensitive to heat like vinyl stickers or vinyl skins in the summer and only sell them in the winter or spring months?

So I have a Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness GameCube Custom Skin. Its a rare collectible for Pokemon fans because the only way to get this was to pre-order Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness before it released back in 2005. It was never on sale and also most people at the time immediately peeled the skin off and stuck it onto their GameCube so finding a complete set that has not been taken off the sticker backing is very hard. I think there is only like 7 on sale on ebay and only a few sold ever on ebay. I have one of these still in it box and its worth between $120 - $200, but I'm not sure if I should list it right now in the middle of summer. The material for the sticker is a raised vinyl material meaning its a sticker with like a raised clear thick vinyl layer of top that give it thickness so its not just a flat sticker. I'm worried the vinyl would warp or melt especially in 100 degree Fahrenheit weather and way hotter inside the USPS trucks. Should I just wait to sell this item?

Do you guys ever purchase USPS insurance from ebay when shipping an item that has a value over $100?

I just sold a highly collectible PS2 video game. It sold for $150 which is over the $100 limit that USPS Ground Advantage covers for free so if anything happens to it USPS will only payout a max of $100 if its their fault. When purchasing the label ebay mentioned this and said that I can buy additional coverage for $3.17 that would cover the entire $150. Its only $3.17 so I just did it. Have any of you done the same before?

Is something happening with USPS? I shipped out an item that has not updated in 24 hours and I also have something that I order that was shipped out at the same time that has not updated in 24 hours,

Yesterday I dropped off a package early in the morning. It got scanned at the initial post office and was scanned again towards the end of the days around 4 p.m. but that was it. Its bee stuck at "On the Way, Arrived at USPS Facility" for 24 hours.

I also placed an order for something over the weekend and it was also shipped yesterday too. That package is stuck on "Accepted, USPS Picked Up Item" since yesterday morning.

Two separate packages, one sent by me and one from someone else being sent to me have not updated in 24 hours. Is this happening to another else?

Retro game sellers, is there a market for highly collectible SNES games that is CIB Complete In Box so it has everything, but it also has a severely damaged box?

I'm not even sure if I should even list these because I'm not sure if there is a market for them. I have these two highly collectible SNES games. One is Contra 3 Alien Wars and the other is Battletoads in Battlemaniacs. Contra 3 Alien Wars can go for $200+ if its a CIB and Battletoads in Battlemaniacs can go for $300 if its a CIB. I have both in CIB but the issue is that the boxes are not in great condition. I would qualify them as poor or fair. With Contra 3 Alien Wars there is a part of the box that has a hole in it. The cartridge and everything can still fit in the box and you can close it up. For Battletoads in Battlemaniacs the top flap that folds over to close the box well the part that is creased so that is can fold over and close is tearing. It teared about 2 /3rd of the way but is still attached to the box. You just have to be careful opening it too many times. The cartridge themselves is in pretty good condition and the pins look good too. The booklet is also in fair condition like they have some wear but they are not torn or falling apart. So, is there a market for these? What do you think would be the listing price of these?

Ebay sellers that sell used video games especially old ones like GameCube and PS2 games how often do you get refund or return request?

I'm currently selling some old, but moderately valued PS2 and GameCube games that range from $40 - $170. I test the game by booting it to the main menu and then play it for a couple of minutes. The thing is that there is no way possible to test every single game from beginning to end testing out every character and unlockable and looking for every secret. Sometimes a hidden collectible in a far off corner of the game that the person you sold the game to collects and it cause the game to crash. So how do you handle refunds / returns and also how often do you have to do it?

Some of my games have lots of scratches and some of them don't. I make sure to note that and also take plenty of photos of the scratches in my listing.

▲ 1 r/tax

Can I get some clarification on if I would get in trouble or not?

So my situation is that I am currently unemployed and job hunting. I am not receiving any form of unemployment. I am selling some really old video games that I have had with me for over a decade on ebay. Some of these were probably worth $20 - $40 when they were first sold and are now worth $100+ while some are only worth $43. I am estimating that I could get a total of $477 for selling all 8 items in which about $300 would profit so I sold it for more then what I got it for. If later on in the year I do land a job in less say the $40,000 a year range would I have to file taxes on the ebay sale? I tend to forget things so I am worried that if once I start working months from now I will completely forget about all the sale I made. What would happen if next year when filing taxes I completely for get to list the $477 in total sales from ebay?
