Anyone also on Strattera?

I just Strattera, (genric name atomoxetine) which is a non-stimulant ADHD med. I’ve been on it before but had to stop due to insomnia and heavy fatigue (weird combo) and loss of appetite. Since my mirtazapine knocks me out and keeps me hungry, I thought I’d try it again.

So far so good the first few days. Curious if anyone else has experience with this convo?

22.5 mg mirta
25 mg strattera (atomoxetine)

Balance transfer trap

I’m incredibly embarrassed to say I have fallen into the balance transfer trap for years on end. Because of my previous high salary I’ve been able to get deals like 0% interest until 1.5 years ahead. But my god does time fly by, especially now that I’m making significantly less money.

In October I owe about $7k and in May I owe $13k.

I’m so sick about this. I’ve recalculated my budget and I only have about $1k in spare income every month and that usually goes to something unexpected (pets, healthcare, family things, etc).

I still have some balance transfer options that would expire October 2027.

Should I do this “one more time”? Or is this just me spinning my wheels? Not to mention the 5% fee has cost me at least $3k over the years.

I do plan to apply for new jobs in the coming months to get back to a higher salary. But the unknown on that timeline is eating me up.

Has anyone had DoorDash push an order through for you?

I had some items from a restaurant in my cart and didn’t press the order button because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do that or get groceries. I waited about an hour to decide and then when I went back into the app, I was shocked to see my order had gone through. Zero memory of pressing the button and it’s weird bc it didn’t show up on my phone home screen with updates like it normally does.

Has this happened to anyone else? I know I have no evidence but I’m curious if it’s a thing…

Do you guys think Lily lurks this sub?

I keep wondering that because I totally would if I was a musician. She also mentions in her book that people connecting with her lyrics is incredibly meaningful to her. I love posting in here when I think of a new way to interpret lyrics and responding to other people’s posts.

Hi Lily 🩵💙

Is it healthy to have a detailed backup plan in case of a breakup?

So I’m trying to figure out if this is a healthy coping mechanism or a trauma response based on my past experiences. Basically, in my last relationship, we were engaged and were having so much fun planning out our lives. How we would live, what kind of house we wanted, how many kids we wanted, vacations we’d go on, etc. Then a year and a half ago, he broke my heart by changing his mind (it was more complicated but that’s the simple version). It shattered me. It was my first serious relationship and he made every promise to never leave me, I would always be his #1 priority, etc etc.

I’m in a new relationship now that’s just as amazing, but it’s starting to get similarly serious and now I find myself imagining and planning the details of a life after a breakup, and not letting myself believe the version where we stay together, until it actually happens. I’m not saying any of this to my boyfriend, but mentally my brain is like, “yeah, we’ll see.” whenever we talk about the future.

For a concrete example, I’ve been learning guitar. But because I’m in a relationship, a lot of my nights are spent doing activities with my boyfriend, which is great and I love that. But another part of my brain is like: “ok so if we broke up, I’d have more time to learn, can start going to open mics, meet other musicians, maybe move into the city, buy a condo/loft and make a music studio setup…”. Whereas when it comes to my partner, we’re talking about moving further away from the city into the suburbs to start a family.

I can’t tell if this is good or bad. On one side it feels like it could start to be maladaptive, but on the other hand it feels like a comforting safety net to have a plan if the rug is pulled out from under me again. It’s like my brain needs to frame a potential breakup as a positive thing in order to not become devastated again.

Does anyone else do this, or have any thoughts? 🩵

Should you wait until you’ve created music to join the community?

I’m a beginner and I would love to meet people in my city that produce music. But I’m trying to think about the order I should do it in… is it weird to join the music community without having any tracks/songs to share? I don’t wanna start going to events then everyone asks for my SoundCloud or Spotify and I don’t have zilch.

Should I wait until I’m at the point where I have things to share to really immersing myself?

Dasher stole my food and DoorDash tried to refund me $8.

Total order was $32. Dasher clearly was pissed I didn’t give more tip (already tipped well for a ~5 min drive delivery). Stole my food, uploaded a pic of pavement, and DoorDash blamed me because “my Dasher tried to contact me” aka the message asking for more tip.

Eventually got to a live agent after talking to a stupid AI for 15 minutes that kept trying to tell me “my issue was resolved” even though I didn’t press ‘Accept’, it just did it for me at one point. Finally got refunded, but in DoorDash credits… agent ended the chat before I realized it wasn’t a refund to my card 😵‍💫

Pretty much every restaurant in town is closed now. No dinner for me I guess.

Has anyone else taken a role they’re overqualified for to have a less stressful period?

So I worked my ass off for 10 years in tech with a leadership position in the final 2 years that literally worked me to the point of mental breakdown. I finally got laid off by that company last October and am still recovering from the intensity. I decided to take a contractor role as a tech project manager for a year to pay the bills while I reset my mental health.

It’s been half a year so far, and it’s been so nice to have a role that doesn’t require constant vigilance, being degraded in meetings, having to make major decisions etc., but the financial restraint of the pay cut is starting to affect me. I have been traveling more than I expected to this year which is adding up.

I’m at a crossroads now where I have to decide if I want to move on to start looking at higher paying roles/get financially ahead again, or stick it out the remainder year, just simply paying bills and potentially going slightly further into debt but have more time to fully reset my mental health.

I’m wondering if anyone’s been in a similar situation or has any advice!

Anyone else get into a relationship during/after limerence and it changes your perspective?

I’ve had limerence on and off my entire life, but not a ton of actual relationship experience. This is the first time I’ve entered a relationship while still recovering from a limerence period.

It’s so crazy, while I was in limerence/heavy flirting with LO, I couldn’t understand why they wouldn’t just leave their partner. It seemed so simple to me. Now I’m in a relationship, and I see how much more complicated it is. It’s nuanced - they could be interested in you, but not want to give up an entire life with someone else. It’s not black or white.

But the other side of the coin is that I’m also kind of lowkey disgusted with how we both acted while they were partnered up. I would consider it micro-cheating if my partner did that, and I can’t believe I thought it was okay to kind of be “the other woman”. I would be devastated to find my partner maintained such a thing with someone else.

My feelings are really confusing right now. The limerence often felt so light and fun, but now it feels so messy and heavy. I’ve been focusing on my new partner but this keeps gnawing at me.

Anyone else enter a healthy relationship during/after limerence? Or have any advice?

Say that it’s over, do you mean a hiatus?

This line has been stuck in my head all week. I think it can represent more things than cheating - my ex would promise to stop staying out late binge drinking, and he would for like… a month. Then he would go right back to the scheduled programming.

I’ve also seen posts from women on relationship subreddits of men promising to stop certain behaviors over and over, stoping for a little, then starting up again.

I think this a really powerful line. Stop means stop. No means no. Not “for now”, not “wait till she forgets”, NOT a hiatus.

Thoughts?

My depression is worse when things are good.

I’m lucky. I have a stable job, amazing boyfriend, plenty of friends and social plans, family in good health.

And yet in times like this my depression feels worse. When I was jobless, or single, or had some other pressing issue, that gave me a “reason” for my depression. When nothing is wrong and I still feel this way, I just feel broken. No “rightness” in my life will ever stop the feeling.

I feel like a bottle with a hole at the bottom. No amount of filling it up will stop it from leaking. Sometimes you can patch it up, but it’s temporary and inevitably it will start leaking again.

Anyone relate to this feeling?

I feel like I’m coming out of psychosis.

2+ weeks no contact, 6 weeks into a new relationship. The perspective from distance is mind blowing. For over a year I became someone I don’t even recognize right now. Finally feel like myself again and am reminded of what a healthy dynamic looks and feels like.

I keep thinking back to a line in a song I love: “Sometimes you have to cut the limb to survive”. That dynamic was draining the life out of me. My new partner gives life to me. Sometimes you have to cut off what feels like something incredibly important in order to live a healthy life.

Stay sane out there, friends. Try to get distance and perspective when you can. ❤️‍🩹

It’s really over.

After over a year of insanity, LO unfollowed after I got a boyfriend. I get it. It hurt like hell but I’m finally in the acceptance phase. Things have changed. It can’t go on like it did. We have to go back to being strangers.

I have so many mixed emotions but I know overall it’s for the best. I just have to keep accepting it over and over until it becomes a distant memory.

Anyone else in a similar place right now?

Never had someone satisfy me so well. I can’t believe on top of our romantic connection that he’s also perfect in bed. 10/10 no notes.

Was too distracted this morning to remember to pack my lunch hehe - country fried chicken, mashed potatoes & collard greens from the work cafe

He saved a copy of the menu from a recent date and wrote a handwritten letter on the back and mailed it to me. I had no idea so I didn’t check my mail until last night when he told me to 😭🥰

After another great date last night he (so cute/nervously) asked if we could go exclusive and I of course said yes!

Before I started seeing him I was just about to give up on dating, and I’m so glad I didn’t!

Hard to focus on work rn when I’m comprehending I’m now a girlfriend 😅

Been seeing a new guy who is an absolute dream. Such a gentleman, a true romantic, and crazy about me. I didn’t even think after 15 years of failed relationships and the state of dating I could get so lucky. I also didn’t think I’d ever like someone calling me “baby” especially in my 30s, but how he says it, it just makes me swoon. I’m cooked ladies 🫠
