I'm glad we finally have cheaper options for Taiga figures.

Anime Figure Shots

Here are some of the shots I've taken over the past year!

I've been doing toy photography for almost a decade now, but I only started collecting and photographing anime figures last year.

Most of these were shot outdoors using natural environments as backgrounds, while some were photographed indoors using a monitor for the background. Post-production was done using Photoshop and Lightroom.

I'm still learning and experimenting with different techniques, especially when it comes to editing, but I've really enjoyed photographing anime figures so far.

I am in most social networks. Just look for "The Hungry Collector".

Hope you guys enjoy the shots!

EVA Angel Hunters (Re-Edit)

Re-edited my shot from last year. Made a much cleaner edit in Lightroom. It was so hard to pose them together because of their large bases.

Rest in Peace Peter Cullen

Like many kids who grew up with Transformers, Optimus Prime was one of my childhood heroes. I was always drawn to characters like him, the righteous ones, the leaders who put everyone else before themselves.

Peter Cullen's voice was inseparable from Optimus. I still remember watching Transformers: The Movie on VHS and being devastated when Optimus fell. Seeing his familiar red and blue fade to grey is an image that has stayed with me ever since.

Today, my feed is filled with black-and-white photos of Peter Cullen as fans mourn the man behind that voice. I couldn't help but think of that scene again.

Transformers eventually became a big part of my collection. I've almost always had a figure on my desk at work to fiddle with, and more often than not, it was an Optimus Prime.

After hearing that Peter Cullen had passed away, I picked up the Prime closest to my desk and did an impromptu photo session. Toy photography usually helps me relax, but this one felt different. Quieter. More solemn.

Maybe I just wanted to freeze this particular moment, the day Transformers fans around the world paused to remember the man who gave a voice to one of our childhood heroes.

Thank you for being part of our childhood, Peter Cullen.

Rest in peace.

How Ragnarok Online Led Me to a Career in Games

I never thought I'd say this, but Ragnarok Online may have been one of the biggest influences on my career.

Writing this article made me realize just how much that game shaped the way I think about games, communities, and management.

It sounds a little strange to say that an MMORPG could have that kind of impact on someone's life, but when I looked back at my journey, I realized it was true.

My INPRNT shop is now live!

Took a break in doing photography to finally curate some of my shots and slowly upload them to my INPRNT shop to sell as prints/posters/stickers. Since the gaming industry is in chaos atm (got laid off again at the start of this month) I've started looking for other income sources and doing this helps with my morale a bit.

My shop link: https://www.inprnt.com/gallery/thehungrycollector

I plan to sell prints locally during cons/events. Any recommended print shops that can do both prints and stickers? I'm from Baguio but open to deal with shops in Manila.

Booksale Finds!

Book Sale Finds!

Ragnarok Into The Abyss manhwa volumes published by Champ Comics.

I think I still have some of the English reprints stored somewhere in my parents' house. Surprised to spot these original Korean versions in the manga section of our local Booksale branch.

Now, I kinda want to complete them. I think only 10 volumes were published before Lee Myung-jin left the series on a hiatus to work on the RO MMORPG.

Hello

Hello. I've been collecting Mythic Legions since Kickstarter 1 and here are some of my shots of my figures. I am one of the mods of "Mythic Legions Collectors Philippines", a group in Facebook dedicated in bringing in together local collectors of this line, as well as a hub where collectors can buy, sell, and swap figures and parts.

I may not have the most number of Mythic Legions figures in the country (I just cherry pick the figures I like) but this toy line is probably my favorite in my toy collection.

SEGA Kantai Collection Kan Colle SPM Figure Nagato

When I brought out this figure from storage to do this photoshoot I just found out that I'm missing the small part at the left tip of her headgear. Totally bummed about it since it took me some time to hunt this figure down (since she's not really available locally). I think I'll just ask someone to 3d print a replacement.

First Photo: Bandai Spirits Oshi no Ko Hoshino Ai and Hoshino Ruby
- I've always wanted to shoot these 2 figures together. TIL that Ruby is a bit taller than Ai so I had to adjust their heights during the shoot.

Second Photo: Taito Coreful Figure Oshi no Ko Hoshino Ai (B-Komachi ver.)
- I got this figure for a very cheap price (less than 2 USD). She didn't come with her base and her right leg is broken. When I did this photoshoot I forgot to glue her leg in. I used a makeshift base for her to stand on and it's just friction holding her upper body up. Got a couple of takes in before she toppled over and I can't get her to stand again. This was her best shot.
