I'm in week 21, started at 240 and am currently 197. Was wearing 42W pants and 2XL shirts, now i'm 38W and L and loving it. My goal is 10-15 more pounds to get to 180-185 and then I want to maintain that. I know the CDC says my ideal weight is 125-168, but I think thats too low for my 5'8" frame and my build. 🤷♂️
I bought this watch in 2002 (yes, its seen some things, thank God it can't talk!). I had it sized, but over 24 years my weight has "fluctuated". Since October of 2025 (had a heart attack), I've dropped 45 pounds. My trusty old beater was saggin' like a bangle, sliding into handwatch territory and just too big. Using a spring bar tool and a YouTube video, I removed a link today. Now I want to buy more watch tools and learn to size all bracelets myself. I really hope this isn't another watch rabbit and I end up with a box full of straps. 😪
Just got home from cruising in my old Chevelle convertible and realized the watch was glowing. First time I noticed this...lol.
Anyone else love their own watches so much that they go outside to the garden and photograph them? This is a Straum Jan Mayen I bought last month in Oslo. Quickly has become a favorite GADA watch for me.
I know everyone loves the Bel Canto. It's CW's crowning achievement, and a horological masterpiece. But...I don't like it. I appreciate the movement, it appreciate the creativity, but... I prefer watches that look like watches, where the three (or four) hands span the dial and are super legible. I'm not a fan of dial with a tiny subdial to tell the time. I feel like subdials are for the seconds, or a date complication. I prefer the Sealander, Trident, Dune, Twelve, even the Moon Phase. 🤷♂️.
Now in week 15, started at 240, now at 202. The CDC says I'm obese (but no longer morbidly obese, so that's nice). Need to lose 7 more pounds to be categorized as just "overweight" (63 years old, 5'8", 202 pounds).
Life goals! 🥳
First time sharing this. All I had was a couple of Citizen Eco-Drive watches (one goes back to 2002) until a few years ago. Now iIm drawn to mechanical watches and love these little machines that tell time with gears and springs.
These were all in a window, thought my fellow watch nerds would get a kick out of these.
