Is my AWD always on? If not, then when is it on?

I noticed that when I slam on the gas on a slippery surface, I only get 2 wheels in the front spinnng wheels. Does imply that for an Outback (2018) the AWD is not the default setting?

Were the people in the area where the Sintashta migrated to Caucasoid already, or were the Sintashta people there the first European-like people there? Do we know anything about the people before the Sintashta got there?

Were the people in the area where the Sintashta migrated to Caucasoid already, or were the Sintashta people there the first European-like people there? Do we know anything about the people before the Sintashta got there?

Also, I know that Uralic people were just to the north of them, and that around 2500 BC there was a draught that impacted adversely the PII there but not the Uralics.

So can we surmise that the pre-Sintashta people there were proto-Uralics with Eastern Asian phenotypes?

Were the indigenous people of that area already Caucasoidal? Were the people who were there before the Tocharians migrated to Kuchi speaking a different IE language? Were they Europeans?

Brazilian migration to the usa - why arent more people complaining about them?

In the NE states, there are huge Brazilian enclaves if Brazilians. They’ll live all over Massachusetts and nearby states. They didn’t flee wars or anything. They don’t bother to learn English. Surprisingly, they’re either all married, are on dating sites looking to get married, or are divorced. They somehow have much better standards of living than an Indian graduate student because these people have free healthcare and access to cheap homes somehow. Definitely they know how to take advantage of governmental services.

The jobs that they do are all menial: house cleaning and grocery baggers for women, and carpentry and ride sharing for the men.

Their churches are pro zionist too. I have no idea how that happened but these people are quite religious.

They don’t win geographical bees or spelling bees. You never hear about them going to engineering or medicine.

I’m surprised that they have an easier time coming here than qualified Indians who learn English and assimilate.

How did these Brazilians come here at their rate and speed? It seems like none of them were here 30 years ago. Now there are entire towns with them with signs in Portuguese everywhere.

How can any river have originated after 21,000 BC, since that's when the last Ice Age was at maximum glaciation, and the ocean levels were 400 feet higher at that point?

Prior to 12,400 years ago and up until 23,000 years ago, there was an Ice Age. At 23,000 years ago, that's when the Ice Age was at a maximum, and the ocean levels were 400 feet shallower. This means that there was a lot more land, and more rivers in those days. Also, all of today's rivers are a subset of all the rivers that existed 23,000 years ago. So are there any new rivers formed since 23,000 years ago, and if so, how did that happen?

I know that Marx theorized about the tendency for profits to decline. I’ve noticed a harder tendency for profits to accumulate to the top. So did the inventor of Monopoly. Has a theory ever been proposed regarding this?

Has there ever Been a theory proposing that profits always seem to rise to the top echelons due to regulatory capture, taxing labor and not passive income, and by other means?

Is the ranked-order accumulation curve of a normal distribution's Y-variable a straight line?

I'm noticing something amazing. When I:

The graph generated looks very straight.

I was introduced to the PROBIT function last night. I'm wondering if there is any utility in doing what I've done.

If this curve has a positive or negative second derivative, does that mean anything, or is it ever used to describe these data points?

Ultimately, I'm interested in having something like a "Fast Fourier Transform for Segmenting Data Points". I'm trying to segment data points using mathematical filters just for my edification.

Given a standard normal curve, What is the equation of the VALUE BEING MEASURED VS the rank?

Suppose that I have the normal curve with STD = 1 and mean is 0. But I get the values and order them based on rank, and then graph it to the rank. What is that equation if I had, let’s say, 1000 samples?

I have a fully paid car and great insurance records. I want to stop driving my car, paying for parking, and insurance. How do I do this?

How do I lock up my car in storage for a few months? I'm trying to save money, and by locking up my car, I can save $400/month, I think.

Who has more control of the prices and profits when oil prices increase/decrease?

David Goldman, an economist at CNN, seems to blame the high retail gas prices on the gasoline station proprietors.

  • Is this fair to put the blame on the gas-station owners? They're not all colluding in my opinion, and they're unable to collude when it comes to prices.

  • When oil prices go high, how is it that oil companies go up when demand goes down a little bit and there are more costs to extract the oil out? I never understood how their profit margin increases when oil prices go up due to more difficulty in extracting and shipping and refining and distributing this. The higher prices would impact all stages of the supply chain, and this would eat into the oil companies' profits.

  • Who has more control of the final prices for retail gasoline: The price for a barrel of oil, the oil companies, or the gas station owners?

4:02 - it's the fault of the gas station owners who are not big businesses. They're small business owners that were losing money when gas was going higher, and now they're making it on the back-end.

How do I segment this ranked data set? I'm proposing using an Nth order equation to segment a population into ~2N segments based on either the accumulation curve or the LOG ranked values.

I've ranked all ~2000 of the Russell 2000 companies by annual sales, and I took the natural log of them. When I view this, I can see that there are two inflection points where the arrows are.

This is where the radius of curvature is the lowest, and most of the curvature occurs.

However, here's another idea that I have to segment this data set:

What's the logical way(s) that you'd segment this?

I can't use wraprows on my PC. How do I convert a 1515 x1 into a 101x15

Here's some of my data. It repeats every 15 columns. I was thinking about adding a column with a counter that resets to 1 when the previous cell above it is at 15.

I can't use wraprows on my PC. Is there an online version of this, where I can copy/paste, and it does the rest?

This part of my lower leg has spasms. It’s not a bone issue. It maybe a ligament or tendon issue.

The back of my legs, at the upper part of my calf on the lateral side has a bad pin every now and then. It happens every now and then. I’m pointing out where the spasmoc pain is with my middle finger. I don’t know if this is where the fibula meets my tibia because that’s where the fibula is based.

A little background to this leg: I’ve had an ACL Reconstruction over 20 years ago.

I haven’t had an injury with this knee, and nothing bad happened in the gym or anything but it’s possible that I may overuse it.

Any help would be appreciated.

If the sea levels rise to their current levels 12,400 years ago, then why is it that Doggerland was still around several thousands of years after that?

How come doggerland only closed up a few thousands of years ago and not 12,400 years ago?

I think that the latest Cambridge Dance Festival was one of the best cultural events ever in Greater Boston

There’s not a single bad thing that I can say about it. This event coincided with fifa soccer, so that made it more memorable. It brought tourists that we don’t usually see often, and for the first time ever, we could drink beers outside. Nobody abused this, and we all felt safe. I wish, however, that we had cottage industries selling their local crafts and also FOOD TRUCKS selling good tacos or burgers until 2 am.

This was a world class event that should be for three days and should be marketed to a global audience.

It'll be just a matter of a few years when Birthright Citizenship is revoked

It'll be just a matter of a few years when Birthright Citizenship is revoked. I know it's the 14th A, but keep in mind that all these acts/laws were once considered permanent and HUGELY consequential, but they, too, got revoked:

  • Voter's Rights Act from '65
  • Roe VS Wade in '70s

The Republicans have been testing the waters for decades, and they finally over-turned these.

So same way, they've been testing the water here and there with other focus groups, but now, they actually tried to overturn a Constitutional Amendment. How does that even happen? I thought that the Senate and Congress need something like 67% of the votes to overturn something.

In just 5 years time, the Republicans will slowly chip away at who is an American, and we won't be invited. They'll come up with all kinds of excuses on why we can't be Americans, such as Both of your parents should be here legally, or something more restrictive, like both of your parents should be citizens here.

Is there a "weather pattern" underground, and if so, does it impact our weather on the surface?

Is there a "weather pattern" underground, and if so, does it impact our weather on the surface? The temperature is very hot 1 mile in depth below and beyond, and I was wondering if this impacts our temperature on the surface.
