Black utility / hiking pants with brown boots?

Seems like most advice is white / black / grey shoes with black pants, but was wondering if anyone has actually pulled off or if it is possible to pull off black utility pants with dark brown or light brown boots?

Black pants such as kuhl free ryder, 5.11 coalition, wrangler atg, back country, carhartt, duluth

With dark brown or light brown (amber/chestnut/cognac) boots like red wings, blundstone, danner, thorgoods, wolverine

Trying to wear black pants to avoid dust and grime showing when working on construction sites and something more office business-casual dressy when in the office for construction management.

Anyone OTD Under 50k?

Wondering if anyone has been able to be OTD under 50K on a 3.0L Diesel Crew Cab SLE/Elevation/SLT with 4x4 X31, multi tail gate, window, hd surround?

Is buying extended warranty at date of purchase a requirement or can it be done later?

Does the 2.9% gm financing stack with rebates?

Used trucks with 60-80k miles are going for 35-38k with 0 down that’s 41.7k cost of loan @ 5.99%

With 5k down that’s 35.7k for cost of loan

I saw gm financing for 2.9% and wasn’t sure if it stacks with rebates, with a 50k price and $5k down that’s 49k for cost of loan.

Does it make sense to go new for $8,000-$13,000 more with considering 60k-80k maintenance schedules, tires, brakes? Or is it not that bad?

Not sure how likely it is to get 50k OTD for a Crew Cab SLE or Elevation 4x4 in diesel with X31/multi-gate/power window options?

Is the 2.9% financing separate from rebates meaning you can get both? Is it at all dealers or only select? I see some advertising it others don’t.

dealing with CO

Newly PM, transitioned from adjacent industry, going well but trying to scratch for pennies

Question about your change order process

  1. Do you have a flat c/o % or fee per project?
  2. Do you change your c/o amount depending on the items in the c/o, or throughout the project
  3. Do you send or get verbal approval, send a preliminary c/o before official c/o
  4. How transparent is your c/o? by a scheduled or broken out value or do you keep it as this is the total cost for the C/O?
  5. When you know theres items that were missed in the bid or need to move money around and add a bit here or there to accommodate rejected C/O or misc item do you do this through the C/O process?
  6. What to do when c/o is rejected but work needs to happen for it
  7. How do you typically strategize ‘buy in’ (getting folks on board) for a C/O?
  8. Any advice on C/O sequence? (Send them all at once, soften and sprinkle them or…?)
  9. How do you get your estimators estimating well to avoid unapproved ve packages or scope gaps that then cause heartburn later, subs mad at me their proposal didn’t include something, but our contract says so

Website build and GM pricing?

Does anyone know how website builds are processed through the dealer?

Found a couple builds i like at dealers but they are ways a way would have to drive or ask to deliver. A couple i got out the door prices but it was only $2000 less MSRP? Is this typical due to taxes?

Questions about out of state buying

There is a dealership that is 12+ hrs away that I’m interested in a truck, if i inquire will they be open to delivering, or would it require me flying there?

Also how do extended or service care packages work will another same manufacturer brand honor it or should this be through my lender?

Should I offer to finance through their lender?
Is there anyway to negotiate an out the door price?

NHT / 3.73 rear axle availability?

Searching for a 3.0L duramax crew cab, either SLE, SLT, Elevation with a bench seat, trying to stay under $50,000 - seems all of the configurations i’m comming across have the 3.23 axle which based on google says that the max tow capacity is 9,000-9,300 where the NHT 3.73 is what pushes it to 13,000 can a anyone confirm, and why is this more of a rare find if thats the case?

Searches also saying x31 and NHT (max trailer package) are incompatible - confusing as listings say this truck contains trailer package but window stickers from Vin searches don’t list NHT or the 3.73 axle ratio

Am i or the dealer confused?

Emailed the dealer today asking about the 0% 36 month interest financing because the price of a used car with 67,000 miles and upcoming maintenance and or tires would roughly hash out to a new price of a base XL

Of course they sent me a link with $60-$80,000 cars, which is not the criteria I asked for. Honestly, 50,000 is more than what I wanna spend for to begin with but with the interest on some of these used trucks you’re coming out 46-48k

Ask them if they had any Basic max tow XL with a Bench seat.

They asked me if I wanted a work truck?

Are people not out here buying trucks to use as work (horse) vehicles are there play trucks? Are people spending 60 to 80,000 to piddle around in a half ton?

Anyone wrap their rear bumper and what’s this called part called?

Thinking about doing a mod like they have on the rangers.

Anyone know what this part of the truck bed behind the wheel well is called? Anyone blacked this part out?

Can it be done by just a vinyl wrap?

Also saw this video for wheel well liners and they had this plastic piece below the truck bed what is that called?

Pro and cons of black trucks in the south?

Looking at black, metallic gray, stone gray metallic, white.

All XL v8s - roughly the same price, stone gray (XLT) has 30k less miles, unsure of bed liner status, stone gray and metallic only have cloth seats so i would get katskinz ($2800)

Would buy black but unsure of pros and cons of the color black with pollen and heat

—-

Edit: seems like people recommend against black color due to the maintenance required for it to be stay & appear clear, as well as contributing to heat gain, thanks all! Greatly appreciate your insight.
