so you watch youtube videos and memorize the floor mechanics
and youve already memorized your rotation for years because youve played for that long

what makes that hardcore

its all preset stuff. all predictable. the only variable is one person not remembering something and getting everyone killed. which the sweats will crucify them for because how dare they not already git gud from raid guides.

I just started OC and I do like that it reminds me so much of FFXI which was my fav game long time ago and I joined because I want to make the relic weapon.

I’ve been playing for a few days now running to fates and CEs and have a couple questions:

- I only got 1 demiatma after doing a lot of fates seemingly, is it really this difficult to find demiatma?
- I’m still learning the CE encounters so I seem to die as a dps easily, is that normal?
- There doesnt seem to be any purpose of the monsters around, or am I missing something?
- The phantom jobs idea seemed kind of cool, but I can’t seem to find any new ones, someone in group told me they drop from fates but I haven’t gotten any.
- The jobs themselves that I’ve tried it doesn’t seem like I’m very powered up by them? When I use the abilities they don’t last long or do much.
- Do I have to do the quests to unlock North Horn and does that drop demiatma too? Because I’m stuck on one trying to find a voidsent CE but havent found it.

It just seems theres a lot of gating or something or maybe I’m just not getting it when it comes to this field operation (its my first one I never played the others).

Anyone else find them relaxing?

Sometimes you just want to run a quick easy dungeon with simpler mechanics and give your brain, hands and eyes a break while still getting things done in the game for duty roulette, wondrous tails and challenge logs.

And even the low level version of my job is fun too. Especially when I can help sprouts or returners, or just people wanting to do duties.

I think the light show DDR mechanics can get tiring.

Playing rdm rn and having to fill up this gauge to do my melee combo takes way too long. just alternating spells until I get to use it.

it needs to be like 10 white and 10 black to do a full combo or something bc it would feel more active jumping in and out without having to stand here casting til halfway thru the fight

evolved mode cant come soon enough

my thoughts

the msq should have ended at endwalker and new expansions provided upgrades to existing content and connected them to the main story better. we have enough solid MSQ that they can further refine and if people want more story then make more side missions that branch out to unique dungeons and raids that have their own connected lore.

gameplay improvements such as:

- evercold should not have had a level increase but did something like a customizable stats or horizontal progression of something. rework stats so that gear and item choices are horizontal and unique. i know people want another level but we need to refocus

- add an rpg feature back like elemental resistances and weaknesses (would fit everCOLD)

- new rewards system built in that connects with the customizing horizontal stuff. put it in all old dungeons.
add new secrets to all dungeons. new floors, new treasures, rare bosses that can spawn. add an exploring element or just new things to find, maybe even story sections that expand what was there.

- job reworking - allow cross class weapons equips, cross class actions, evolved mode is a good start that they announced for easing button bloat. add unique role stuff to encounters that trigger when the dungeon loads n parses party setup ie: use fairy to illuminate something on the floor

- make weapons have additional unique skills to give old weapons new uses. unless youre using your main level wep most gear is now useless except for glams.

idk what else but basically yea expanding on this idea that the msq has enough content that we can focus on other areas

I started playing DPS and lately I have been getting a lot of player commendations. I am new to DPSing so I don’t think I’m that good. But my glamour is pretty cute and my adventure plate pose is creative so maybe people send me commendations because of my aesthetic?

i love blue mage but you cant play the regular game with it ao ive always been white mage which i do enjoy but i always get nervous to queue for dungeons and raids bc i feel like everything falls on me to fix

if there was a support class that didnt have to keep everyone alive or had flexibility id play it like i thought red mage would be that but i dont think it ever heals much

anyway i was thinking of scholar because of the heals and the fairy to help me, do you think it would take pressure off to be a scholar?

i also love paladin classes in other mmos but being a tank seems like even more pressure and i dont want that

I’m new to Nwn but I’ve played bg3 and Dnd some so I have a general idea of classes and builds.

But is melee cleric possible here with mace? Like, can I get extra attacks with martial levels or feats, and is war domain the best one for this? Or I saw Strength, not sure which one.

I like healing and supporting too but melee with cleric is the most fun to me.

Also are there cosmetic mods? can I have animal ears n stuff?
