Off the shelf options for elevating feet on travel platform

I've seen DIY options involving wood and even a stack of legal sized paper (the latter fits shockingly well dimensionally lol). Are there any off-the-shelf options I can just buy to elevate feet 6" to get equivalent depth when deadlifting? I saw someone posted yoga blocks, but I don't really trust standing on yoga blocks to do deadlifts TBH... As lightweight as possible in the spirit of the travel platform would be nice, but still needs to feel sturdy.

Is 1000R 32:9 OLED ever happening

At this point I'm tempted to just get the OLED G9 for the pixel response time over my old VA G9... At this point it seems unlikely that Samsung will actually change the curvature on the OLED G9? Is anyone else speculating in the same position as me?

Has anyone tested how monitor changes affect their scores?

I'm on a 240hz VA panel (old Samsung G9) right now, considering getting a monitor specifically for Kovaaks, either the Zowie 600hz with dyac or the Asus 540hz OLED. I'm curious for anyone who has had multiple monitors at the same time and tried playing scenarios across them how much of a score difference you've noticed?

Is the functional rope any good?

Since I don't have a rope attachment right now, is beyond power's functional rope better than the alternatives? It's probably more expensive than most competitors, and there doesn't seem to be much information about it.

To the people primarily playing Viscose S2, what scenarios are you playing other than the benchmarks? What holes do you feel like the benches are missing?

Most fun 2v2 game right now?

What's the game everyone is playing 2v2 nowadays? My main game was SC2 1v1 for the longest time and I had fun in 2v2 in that game before I became a 1v1 grinder but I don't think 2v2 in that game was actually very well designed or fun. Maybe AoE? Maybe BAR although it seems like the main mode in that game is larger teams?

Has anyone applied interleaved practice?

Has anyone applied interleaved practice to aim training, if so how did you implement it exactly and did you feel like it's better than blocked practice?

What benchmark rank do you need to be able to break into games with small diehard playerbases?

I'm not really interested in any games that are actually populated nowadays, I'm more interested in AFPS or like TF2 competitive 6s. Has anyone used aim trainers as a viable path to break into games that have playerbases that are too small and too good? If so what rank did you have to get in order to be viable in said games?

Recommendations for a "guaranteed wow-factor" Japanese flannel as a gift

Looking to buy a flannel as a gift for a friend who is a flannel enthusiast but I don't think he has anything from Japan. Because it's a gift, I want something that's safe and guaranteed to have some kind of wow-factor, either because it's soft or has an interesting handfeel or is just different from the normal stuff. There are quite a lot of options from brands like IH, UES, Samurai, Flat Head, etc, so looking for recommendations on what would be a good "baby's first Japanese flannel" basically :P

Can you wear short or no sleeves to sleep in winter?

I'm curious if it's possible with the help of something like the eight sleep to not wear long sleeves in winter. I feel like I have this problem where for one reason or another a lot of the time I end up sleeping without my arms covered in winter and often wake up cold because my arms are sticking out and getting too cold. I'm hoping getting an eight sleep or equivalent would help solve that problem for me. Curious what people's experiences are. We can assume the ambient temperature of the room is like a cool 16C or so.

Natural indigo full zip hoodies?

It looks to me like the only regularly stocked natural indigo full zip hoodie is this one by blue blue japan which is garment dyed. Everything else from Samurai, PBJ, Wonder Looper, all look like seasonal one-off items. Is there anything out there that I'm missing, in particular any rope-dyed ones? Anyone who has one wants to show how they've faded?

Your favorite 100% cotton knitted "formal" button-up?

Basically title: anyone have a 100% cotton knitted (probably jersey or pique, but I just want to avoid woven) button-ups that lean formal (to me this is like collar style, fabric sheen, flat color)?

In somewhat of an inversion of the norm, I don't have any dress codes to adhere to by day, so I would like to wear something relatively formal and dressy on weekday evenings and on the weekend. At the same time, I don't want a woven dress shirt because I prefer a bit of stretch, and I think it'll help me get that super tight look that I haven't been able to get in woven shirts. I've tried dragging all the "how tight do you want it" sliders all the way to the right and have ended up with shirts that aren't even that tight but completely restrict movement.

Quick googling has turned up Eton, Sunspel, Proper Cloth, Kamakura, but these might be heavily biased and personalized to me.

How warm is the wonder looper super looper zip hoodie?

I primarily want a hoodie to wear during warmups in a reasonably cold space say 16-18C that I expect to take off at some point during my workout. A little concerned that the 13oz fabric is too heavy, though allegedly the french terry loops are supposed to run cooler than fleece? Bonus if it can keep me comfortable at 18C sedentary as well. I typically go for full zip because then I have the flexibility of unzipping and keeping myself cool at a higher temperature, I run pretty cold, definitely feel uncomfortable at 20C with just a t-shirt on and prefer something like 22C+.

Also I see it listed on naked and famous' website. Is it better ordering from them if I'm in the US to pay less total when considering tariffs and everything?

Do heavyweight T-shirts in the 8-10oz range run significantly hotter?

I feel like with standard 4-5oz t shirts once it gets above say 27C I start sweating and if Im doing any exercise I’d rather just take it off. Do heavyweight T shirts in the 8-10oz range change the calculus much? Do they run noticeably hotter to the point of being in a different category where they’re completely unwearable in summer?

T-shirts for Marlon Brando “undersized” fit?

I’m surprised this question has apparently not been asked in this sub, but does anyone have experience or advice on how best to replicate Marlon Brando‘s tight T-shirt look? Before anyone asks I am at least as jacked in every upper body body part as he is in Streetcar Named Desire :P I am also aware that they tailored and did tricks to make it look super tight, and I’m not trying to replicate it 100%.

Are actual loopwheel T-shirts better for such a purpose than non-loopwheel tubular because the fabric stretches better? Presumably you want something relatively lightweight, because heavyweight just wouldn’t stretch? Unfortunately or fortunately this rules many options out since heavier weights dominate the loopwheel space. Real McCoy actually advertises their 2 pack and undershirt as undershirts, any other brands that do undershirts? Do I just have to try every 6oz or below tubular made in Japan until I find the fit that’s as good as possible? Looking for other people’s experiences.

Is there a T-shirt brand more cropped than Samurai?

Looking for T-shirts that are as cropped as possible in terms of length and sleeve length. Thus far in my search it looks like Samurai has by far the most cropped dimensions, and I'm considering buying the 2-pack. Are there other brands that are even more cropped, presumably they would have to be Japanese? I found that Warehouse is comparable in length but longer sleeves, and Asket in short is also fairly short but still longer in sleeves.

For the next iteration of my garage gym I'm considering buying uprights and crossmembers from Rogue and doing a wall-mounted rack. My house is an Eichler post-and-beam construction, so the top of the wall in my garage I'll be mounting the rack to is a 4x10 douglas fir beam that's intended to support the roof. I know that normally what people do is they'll mount a stringer board across a number of vertical studs and mount the rack to that. If I get 100" uprights and I mount horizontal crossmembers to the very top of the uprights, they are at just the right height to go straight into the beams. On the other hand if I get the angled uprights (equivalent mounting height of 90") they will miss the beams and I'll have to do the stringer board. Which is preferred? I'd expect it'll be a bit of a wash, but I'm not a structural engineer lol.

If it matters, I intend on not having bottom crossmembers and mounting feet to the floor directly. The whole reasoning for all of this is to leave as much mounting flexibility as possible for my Voltra.

I bought a pair of Oneida, but turns out I'm just too into barefoot shoes. I am allowed one exchange, so if anyone is currently in the market for one and know your size and it's available on the website, please DM me and I will work out a fair discount with you. Thanks!
