Everywhere I go I see "technicians" wearing shirts that say things like "I'm a meccanik mekanic meqanik ... I fix cars"

You're not helping yourself. You're not cool. You are actively making the field look dumb. You are actively damaging the reputation we all share. You are the reason I beat around the bush when people ask what I do.

Go to an event where technicians and mechanics are present representing their shop/dealer like a local car show. The tech who got tickets to the ball game from work. The mechanic going out to the Christmas party. Invited to the BG golf outing.

Always acting like the only clothes you own are oil stained boots, dickies, and a torn up Carhartt hoodie.

Have some respect for yourself. Shower. Wear a collared shirt. Speak like an educated individual. It's not that hard. But if we don't respect ourselves, nobody will.

EDIT: To the bums down voting this post, have fun begging for 8% of the door rate in 3 years.

It's simple. Where whatever you want. I don't care if you're dirty, I don't care if you have oil stains on your clothes.

Just don't wear clothes that subtly imply you and we by association are dumbasses for picking this trade.

And if you are at any event where you are representing your shop or mechanics in general, dress at least halfway professional.

Flock and data centers are spreading like wildfire. Mass surveillance and data collection is already ongoing and nobody cares because they're too spun up in the iran/Israel/Trump/nonsense.

We need to stand arm in arm, every one of us, demanding our local officials stand for us.

I'm planning on attending my township meetings next month and encouraging others to do the same. We stand united or we fall.

Thoughts or opinions? Do we have a chance?

Simply put, this will be impossible to undo if we don't stop it now.

Mower in question: Toro Timecutter Max MyRide 50"

My old mower: 2004 Timecutter z5000 (50" Kohler courage 21) and the right hydro is just about dead.

I see it's available in 54" and a Havoc model in 54" and 60"

My dealer has 50" mowers in stock today, 54" or Havoc models are "a few weeks out" but I'm happy with my current 50" cause I can get it everywhere. I have some rough spots that a bigger deck will scalp.

Based on my research (correct me if I'm wrong) they are all the exact same mower EXCEPT the 60" Havoc which gets upgraded hydros (zt2800 over the zt2200) but still has the same FR691V engine (Kawasaki v-twin 23hp).

Will the zt2200 on a new Toro have the drain plugs for maintenance or is it still rare? I know they started doing that a few years ago but doesn't seem to be all of them...

Anything that the Max Havoc models get that the Max doesn't? I think it's just a paint job (except the 60")

In my mind, I'm not sure the 60" deck and larger hydros is worth the extra $900 (the 50" is $4,700 which I feel like is a pretty good value with the kawi, chain hung fabricated deck, and MyRide suspension seat) and I imagine it would be underpowered with both the bigger deck and bigger hydros but still just a 23hp motor.

Is there anything I'm missing, or anything I should consider?

I've pretty much settled on this because the MyRide is important to me (back problems) and it has a very agreeable price (under 5k). Let me know, thanks.

Yesterday (day10) I was finally feeling significantly better. Was able to drink more, I had some 🍕 for EQthat I chewed extra (no crust) and felt good and was talking good.

Ate dinner watched a movie, sat around a bit.

Popped a Tylenol and an Advil and got the shower. Felt a lot of drainage so I spit. All red. A scab came off, open artery underneath.

Hopped out, rushed to the emergency room, and once I was there and in the room I threw up, and there was probably 1/2 of blood that I had swallowed.

Ventilator, rushed into surgery, re-cauterized, and sent home again.

Hope it's worth it.
