So I unlocked these recently and I can see how they work and that they’d probably pair strongly with ripper but i wanted to ask anyone who knows more about them some questions because i got them rattling in my skull

If I hit with the blades does the blades attack negatively affect the projectile? Do I need to space myself out with this weapon or am I free to be as close as I please?

Does the projectile damage get affected by point blank properly? I know queens rapier and deaths scythe get affected but I’m unsure how these all function

So I unlocked 5BC today (didn’t win the run I botched the hand of the king fight) and it made me realize how much I dislike cavern as a level, it feels really massive and also extremely claustrophobic plus it has some of the most annoying enemies in the game. Which got me wondering what’s other peoples least favorite biomes?

One other biome I’m not a big fan of is corrupted prison but only if I’m running a fully range build, the blue birds are a pain yeah but the katana guys that block shots are so slow to deal with on range builds it’s not hard just painful.

I’m in 4BC, I can usually do fine with the cursed biomes but the one that curses you for 3 when you kill it is bugging me. I just lost a run where I got hit all of twice because i shot through an enemy and popped it off screen then died because the enemy did the stomp attack that makes crystals fall from the ceiling and I panicked when I saw the curse pop up on me. The other enemies are completely fine, I can parry or dodge the curse but this one makes me feel like I’m being punished for playing the game so idk what I’m doing wrong.

I’m getting cells so I got more blue prints and can max my forge but good god it sucks. I’m just biting the bullet with it by using assist mode and first level boss rush to do it as fast as I can and yet it still sucks

I’m looking at all the weapons that are brutality/tactics and is there actually a place for melee weapons as a primary option in a good tactics build? It just seems like it’s worse than going brutality for melee weapons in terms of mutations and HP scaling. Am i just not seeing something?

Every time I see a clip of this thing it’s always offing itself. Like running into bubble wrap, blowing itself up, running into spark traps or ufos. Like stop it, get some help.

I’m trying to learn this character because her music is sick and I like her design, but I can’t get the wings from 2HH to make sense they take so long to activate. Like when’s optimal to start their clock if I wanna use em? When I have ice floor or as soon as I get HKD?

Sorry if this is a dumbass question, this is really the only part of her kit I can’t see how to use well in a match so I’m stumped and figured I’d ask people better then me.

I’m so proud of myself rn, I died immediately because I got stun locked by those horizontal spear traps but I did make it and I’m proud of that

I’ve played more 2.0 and it’s got me wondering how the rest of the player base feels about it, average players, good players or otherwise, so ima share my thoughts first to let yall know what I mean with this question.

I’m not the biggest fan of the state of play right now but it’s not bad, it’s got a ton of changes I love like the removal of wild assault but the matches feel a little watered down to me. Like the lack of counter hit damage is nice I guess because it makes matches less volatile but it lacks that same explosive feel that last season had. The thing they replaced wild assault with feels extremely underbaked and honestly I’d rather it just not be in the game right now because of how awkward it feels, like yeah free wall break wooo, but making a combo that wall breaks with what you got was 90% of the fun of getting the wall break it made it feel cool.

I’m a massive fan of the art direction for the UI and menus, it always felt bland before but now it’s got a unique style to it that really makes it shine. I like that it’s customizable too.

The blazing pass is…eh? I think it’s cool in concept but I don’t like the door it opens because I’m not a fan of battle passes as they leave a lot of room for things to get scummy and annoying, which I’m not saying will happen just it’s a real possibility now. Plus I’d prefer it if the battle pass didn’t exist and instead we could spend the in game currency on these UI skins and character skins as that would feel more appealing to me.

Overall this is a fine patch, especially for players getting into the game as I think this is the easiest it’s been in a while to learn strive. But I’m not the biggest fan of character balance changes like testaments changes or how hard aba got hit, and the battle pass concept makes me a little worried about what the game might turn into.

It’d be pretty funny…that’s it that’s my entire argument.

So I beat the game and beat the game from the start, I’ve made it to Tiamat before a lot of times I just tried to do strats I wasn’t good at but I learned the bomb timing and now im comfortable at least trying.

I can consistently make it to draculas castle, most of the time sometimes I still get ended. I usually try to have 8 bombs so I can avoid using the evil ass drill that breaks shops, alters, and lava pools idk if that’s good tho or if i should just use the drill and figure it out. I know how to grab the ankh without killing Olmec but the next parts im not good at remembering past grab sword in tidepool.

Now im gunning for sunken city and maybe CO, so any tips? Other then study the route so i know what I’m doing.

I don’t mean good in terms of items or anything just in terms of mental endurance, like I’ll have a couple warm up runs, do solid and usually make it to Neo Babylon/Tiamat in 2 or the temple/olemec in 1 and after I’m just dead for every run after for the remainder of the day even if I take a break. Like I lose my focus.

So I beat the game for the first time on steam today and my second time ever. And thought “I’m doing fantastic I’m gonna try and go to sunken city”, so I got Draculas cape, a kappala, the ankh, and I was doing great. Then I’m in tidepool, 10HP an ankh thinking “this is a good run…i just jinxed it didn’t I?” And I opened the tidepool coffin for the character unlock and I didn’t wanna deal with having a NPC doing things I don’t wanna so I put him to sleep and tried to just bomb him rq, apparently they can rebel…why do the NPCs have hands?? Like your telling me, this dude stun locked me took 10HP off me, then came all the way up from the bottom of the level to the top and ran my shit again killing me, but when they’re on my side they die to a spider???

10/10 experience knowledge gained.

So I don’t have DID but I’ve met people who do and this is a question I wondered about, but I don’t know if it’s disrespectful or rude but I’m curious, so I’m gonna ask and if it’s rude I apologize.

How does sexual activity work? From what I can understand alters have their own sexual orientation and things so how do you know if it’s okay to do something? I’d assume you ask all of the alters but even if you have the green light is it uncomfortable for them? like if one of them is gay and you have straight sex would they be uncomfortable?

I know this is a stupid question but idk i thought about it once and now i can’t stop wondering how this interaction works. I’d hate to imagine people are uncomfortable with their partner because of this it’d make me sad.

I’m learning roboky and I didn’t feel like labbing anything and just jumped right into ranked, of course I got slammed and given iron 3. But going from fighting other diamond 3 players and some vanquisher players to this is wild. These guys are having the time of their lives and utterly balling, it’s cinema. Like high rank matches are fun, this is hype, I suck on roboky, they’re also still learning whoever they’ve picked, and we are bashing each other into the ground with our hearts and souls in it vs higher rank which is more technical hype rather then the passion and fun that is the lower rank matches.

TL/DR learning a new character is making me feel the strive magic again

It’d be so cool. He has exceed which they could implement in multiple ways to change his basic buttons and specials, like have the player have a window to hit for max act on specials (maybe normals but that may conflict with Gatling) or let them rev red queen with a button, blue rose has charge shot which they could make a fireball with charge stages (like zero from MvC3 but actually fun to fight with reduced priority), his bringer could be a command grab, his DT could be a 50% meter install, his breakers could be put all into his character and once you use breakage or get counter hit with its basic attack you break it and cycle to the next one, have his round win animation be him getting them back from Nico’s van so they refresh every round, it starts with overture ends with ragtime same way you unlock them in game.

So I recently got 100% again and after doing my 32 heat run, maxing all my trinkets, and forging every bond I decided to get to 20 heat on every weapon before doing a 32 on all weapons so I can max all my aspects just for fun. And generally I don’t struggle much anymore in this game because I got about 500 hours in it and I’ve gotten 100% a few times, but sometimes RNG decides to deck me in the face with benefits package giving annoying combos to annoying enemies and it made me wonder what everyone’s least favorite pact options and enemies are.

Mine are benefits package when it gives me bad RNG and the greatshield guys, you think after 500 hours I’d be good at dealing with them but sometimes they kick my ass.

It’s just the little things like “man, that’s 5 separate spore strain bile titans…fu*k that entire direction” and seeing multiple orbitals land on one spot as that direction no longer exists. Or when you’re moving in odd synchronous with people you’ve met only in this game and may have never spoken a word too, switching who’s firing behind so the other can run with a semblance of safety. Or seeing your teammate get into a bad spot and going after them to back them up and get them out of there. Or universally agreeing “we want those samples and we’re all extracting” then holding an absolutely painful extraction on something like D10 spore strain or cyborgs because no man left behind if we decide so.

like I have never spoken a word in this game but unironically the people I’ve friended are chill and fun, and just understand each others playstyles without a word spoken. I’ve played tons of co-op and social games and this is the only one I’ve had that experience in.

As I get better I use the radar in ways I didn’t pick up on, originally I used it just for sneaking behind patrols or general stealth but good god it’s incredible In combat situations. I can peak at my radar when I’m not firing or sprinting and spot enemies behind walls or around me so they don’t catch me off guard. But good lord using it for stratagem set up is great, you peak at your map, see a bunch of enemies approaching the point and think “yeah I can hit that” when they’re behind a wall and otherwise you wouldn’t see them
