I started playing sims 4 again after a year hiatus and I am just sooooo beyond frustrated of that dumpster fire of a social pie menu. No other sims have had to put social interactions behind categories. Why did they decide to do that with 4? Fucking beats me.
When I throw parties I like check off goals because some aspirations require that, but I always have to pause to check off social goals because I have to sift through every single category when interacting with guests. Even when trying to become friends with other sims I always have to pause just to sift through and find the correct dialogue. Like dawg, I just spent 20 real life minutes barely making friends at the bar. 😂
I remember they gave us an option to turn it off, but that didn’t even work! I checked the game menu again to see if maybe they fixed it, but they got rid of that option altogether. It’s so aggro to have to pause the game every time I want to interact with a sim just so the other sim doesn’t run away.
Sorry for the rant, but had to get it off my chest.

My sim literally just birthed herself multiple times (this picture doesn't include the son who also looks like her).
It was free with RSVP but now they’re selling $20 tickets. When I went there for Wooli (worst crowd ever), there was no security entry. Now it says they’ll be scanning tickets and doing security checks.
Anyone who has been to these recently, is that true? I want to go but having to pay $20 for something advertised as free is pretty annoying.

AI (yuck) posters started out pretty minimal and straight to the point (although still shitty), but I feel like the more AI posters people make, the more shit it tries to squeeze in there. Like, they’re so overwhelmingly ugly. No way people are reading the fucking 15 paragraphs it squeezes on there. Why in the entire fuck are people still making them? Like, no fucking way you think this shit is readable. I can’t even look at it for more than 3 seconds.
I’ve also noticed this about co-workers that use ChatGPT to write emails. It started as something small and simple.
For example, I noticed the emails started like “Hello, here is your document. Please let me know if anything needs to be adjusted. I’ll be looking out for approval.” Now, when my co-worker sends an email, it’s like “Hello, please see attached document for you review and approve. If everything looks okay please send over an approval, but if you’d like to make adjustments then please let us know and we will work on revising the quote. If revisions are not needed then we will look out for an approval from your email and move forward with the document. Once we receive the approval then—“
And it’s like, bro, you just wrote six paragraphs for something that only needed to be TWO at most!
Anyway, I had to vent because everyone’s just making shit extra difficult because they don’t want to use real resources or brains for 5 extra minutes.

I miss the gift mini games we would play with miis. The bath set, slide puzzle, music box, hypnotizer, camera, etc. Those were such cute mini games and helped A LOT with calming down miis when they were sad/mad. I feel like it also encouraged taking care of your miis bc they would thank you with these little gifts.
My favorite was the camera because your mii could either take a picture of you or miis around the island. I feel like LTD dropped the ball a bit with this one. It was awesome to interact with your miis one on one like that.
Hello, I just recently moved to San Fran from the fashion capital of the world New Jamiami Angeles and I constantly feel SO overdressed EVERY SINGLE DAY. How am I supposed to dress well when EVERYONE is wearing things like North Face, Lululemon and Patagonia? What the fuck is even a Patagonia? So basically I’m supposed to dress like a HOMELESS BUM like everyone else to be accepted in this city? How are people supposed to know you make six, seven figures if you’re not DRESSING LIKE IT??? Have some RESPECT for yourself and look presentable! Everyone needs to adhere to MY New Jamiami Angeles standards!

Ambient, electronic, instrumentals. As a former Tumblr teen, SoundCloud listener, and Majestic Casual lurker, underground music made up 80% of my playlists. The only time I was listening to mainstream music was when I was riding the bus home with my friends.
