Read about this in theory not long ago. Now it is available for the consumer market.

Nothing like your internet provider seeing if you are moving around in your home. Same for anyone else with access to their systems.

Understanding why some subchannels do not work - Chicago specific but maybe helps overall?

I have been using OTA for years but never have figured out why two subchannels do not work.

While my examples are specific to Chicago, perhaps it is commonly encountered elsewhere. I have searched this sub and other places without finding an answer or hint - at least that I understand.

I get Channel 2 (CBS) just fine 2.0 through 2.4. But 2.5 never scans and cannot be manually entered. I get Channel 50 (IND) just fine on 50.0 but not 50.1. Of course with Murphy's Law, there are some shows that I would like to watch!

Reading through this sub, I do see mentions of ATSC 1.0 and ATSC 3.0. Thinking that a likely candidate as to the cause, I cannot figure out how to determine if that is it or not.

I have two TVs maybe 5 years old or so from different brands and one old external converter from the Analog-Digital transition era. All three have the same issue. I see no menu settings some mention in post comments over the past few years.

If there is a resource that might be helpful, I do not mind digging if pointed in that direction.

Sad that this is what the McDonald’s play place is now. I miss the 80s.

SHOULD Have Used A Trailer... Or brought an actual truck to carry this..

Saw this at the DIY yard over the weekend. Guy maybe late 40's/early 50's shows up in a lifted show pickup truck. To get a full pallet of bagged mulch.

I pulled up near by to load up my Tahoe with bags of 15 bags of topsoil and mulch. Didn't need much and was in a hurry so didn't bother to hook up a trailer. The back of the 'Hoe was sufficient and didn't stress the suspension, engines or brakes.

This guy? Well gosh darn it. He's got a pick-em-up truck and gonna use it!

As the forklift operator approaches, the guy voices his concern about his tailgate. Really dude? You are hauling goods now. It just might get dirty or - gasp - a scratch. As usual with these forklifts, the prongs(?) don't reach far enough past the tailgate. But the guy wants to close the tailgate. Probably to be safe natch. Then he voices some concern about his bed liner with pushing it further in. Dude. You are hauling a couple hundred pounds of cargo. Your bed liner will get scratched. That is the purpose of a bed liner in the bed of actual trucks.

No, the second pic is NOT the California stance some go for. That is the weak lifted powder coated and chromed suspension designed for looks not carrying loads.

And of course, no straps and no ropes. I laughed and laughed. But scooted out of there before him. Didn't want to be stuck behind the guy slow rolling or not slow rolling and losing the load on the busy state highway just outside of the DIY store's parking lot.
