Saved this baby from kids

I was outside pulling weeds in my front yard when kids walked by holding this baby bird. They said they were taking it home, they have a cage.

I convinced them to give me the bird and I set it in a empty chicken brooder I have set up in my garage. After I was done working in my yard I grabbed it and set it in a bush.

I hope I made the right call..

Is this just what people do in neighborhoods??

I inherited my great aunts house. She has lived in the home since it was built in 1948. Since I moved in 4 months ago, every neighbor watches me out their window while I do yard work or wash my car. When they pass eachother walking they stop to chat and point at my house and stare at it while they all talk.

If I do anything in the backyard my 2 side neighbors go into their garages and watch me through their windows.

One time I made eye contact with one and he backed away from the glass slowly like I wouldn't be able to see him.

I have introduced myself to every neighbor near me when i first moved in. I told them about my aunts passing and explained im fixing up the house for a few years and then I'll be selling it.

Ive lived on 9.5 acres in the woods for 40 years. Is this normal behavior for a smaller city neighborhood?

OR is it because im a Pagan and I have a witch broom and bells hanging on the back door (visible from the sidewalk) i painted the front door purple and i 5 black cats that lay in the yard daily. I also have 7 black chickens and 2 black ducks.

Do I come across as a creepy witch? 🤣

Enchanted forest

Never in my 40 years did I think I would ever have to ask about weight limits 🤣 but here we are. I looked on their website and found no information. Can a 5'10 250lb adult fit on the (adult) rides? Most importantly the log ride. I loved that ride when I was a kid! Now im afraid I wont fit or be over the weight limit hahaha ✌️

Duck claw caps

I've raised ducks for years, I've been scratched plenty of times picking up ducks.. doesn't do much. But my neighbor is on her 2nd year and thinks she has it all figured out and im actually worried for her ducks and ducklings. She started putting those cat claw caps on their claws! I fear the nail will rott under those caps because they are in and out of water daily. She seems to think its fine and this way they wont scratch her kids anymore 🙄. Has anyone ever seen or heard of people using these for ducks??

I wish I could forget what I know

I worked as a housekeeper for a lady who Airbnb her 3 homes in a popular downtown area. I only cleaned one house with 4 rooms. It was a gorgeous Victorian home built in 1928. Even though I have 20 years of housekeeping experience, I developed a pretty bad phobia of human germs. I kept that place SPOTLESS. But..

When I saw her working on my day off, my jaw hit the fcking floor.

The owner is allergic to almost every cleaning product. She can only use water. I watched her clean the entire master bathroom with a wet wash clothe. And then she went to the sink and rinsed it off (didn't dry the sink) and used it to clean the shared bathrooms.

She used the swiffer wet mop to clean all 4 bedrooms and all 4 bathrooms with the same wet pad.

I eventually quit that place but I can't quit thinking about the horrors I've seen. I check her reviews every so often and they are great! But if only they knew...

Does she have no access to her money for dental work?

*No hate!* I'm just curious and also worried for her teeth health 😬
