Clark met at least one Async scientist while staying in the backrooms
This is obvious by the mural. But I never heard a discussion about that.
So Async tried to contact him. Or they casually met in the backrooms at least.

Meglio differenziare in ETF giusto?
What is it considered taboo to criticize in your country?
(If you have one topic like that)

I found an Otus scops on a tree, do you think I would see it better with a 35mm instead of a 25mm? Or with a better sensor? Better resolution?
The scops owl was at a distance of around 5 meters. I was just below the tree and I was able to identify it because I heard him singing and because I used an infrared binocular after, to spot the details.
It was very difficult to spot him because as soon as I got closer he stopped singing.
Sometimes they even fly on another tree when they notice I'm getting closer, making impossible for me to spot them.
But from a distance all I can see is leaves. So I'm not sure if with a 35mm I could see birds better without getting close. Maybe in winter (?) when the leaves are down (?)
Okay so, my question is. Do you think my monocular is good enough for what I'm trying to achieve? I want to find mostly birds. It would be nice to see at least a defined shape when I'm close (5-10 meters). Is there a thermal monocular that can do that?
I can obtain fairly good images of rabbits and hedgehogs because I manage to take photos from a closer distance (1-2 meters). But many animals won't allow me to get so close and birds are among the leaves.
I'm using a 25mm with a 640x512 resolution and the website says the monocular has a range of up to 1,200 meters. And I can indeed detect the presence of animals from a very long distance. But identification is a different story.
I took a 25mm because I wanted a large FOV. I use the monocular mostly in woodlands and parks with trees that aren't too widely spaced. Even when they're farther apart, I don't think the distance is ever more than 50-100 meters.
But I'd like to hear suggestions.
Do you usually associate birdwatching to a gender?
reddit.comAny idea on what bird could it be?
I recorded the video with a thermal monocular. I was filming a bat flying, when some sort of bird attacked it. I think it may be a owl. Maybe a common owl or a barn owl, but not sure. I'm based in northern Italy. The video was recorded in a medium sized park.
What do you think it could be based on position, size and its way of flying?
I heard no sounds.
Thanks in advance
Something Important is being discussed for sure
Where do diurnal birds go to sleep at night? Do they have dormitories?
I tried watching among the branches of the trees with a thermal monocular, but I found nothing other than three wild rabbits running among the meadow and one hedgehog.
BUT NO BIRDS!
I thought they used to sleep on trees but apparently they don't. Or at least they don't choose my local park trees.🙂
I wonder if maybe they go somewhere else they think is more safe?
Any suggestions?
I live in a medium sized city (400k inhabitants), but as you can see we have fauna and a lot of parks and green areas. I live in Europe if it may help.
Thanks in advance!
I still can't spot birds, but I saw three rabbits and a hedgehog tonight
Any tips to find birds at night? They don't even seem to sleep on trees :(
I just bought a hikmicro falcon fq25, mainly to spot birds. I'm a bit disappointed, but maybe I'm just new to the party and I need to learn where to look at

A couple of months ago i talked about a hooded crow and a Eurasian magpie that seemed to have formed a friendship. A tiny update, as it seems they are still hanging around eachother, both without a mate
A couple of months ago I posted a picture of a hooded crow and Eurasian magpie that seemed to have formed a friendship, sticking around eachother rather than members of their own species. Several months later, they are still seen hanging around eachother, and its a bit weird since neither of them have a mate. So its possible that they both are young birds that haven't figurer out the mating thing, or that they simply don't care about finding a mate, and just want to hang around eachother

The bird has been doing this for days at my work
What is wrong with it? The bird is back everyday pecking the window. The bird switches between different windows as well.
Birdwatcher here, not sure about this pic.
OP says it's real, someone in the comments mentioning it'AI.
HELP pls?
Right in front of my cat?“
E i vostri preferiti?
