Anyone remember what celebrities were at the wedding that Barry mentions in the current advert for O2?

A chateau in Bordeaux, 2012. The day England played Italy in Euro 2012.

I was a listener at the time and don’t remember it being mentioned.

Calbee Asian Style Chips - 130g, £2 in Asda

Korean style spicy bbq is definitely the pick of them in my opinion, but they’re all nice.

I’m not normally a ready salted person, but those umami salt ones definitely add another dimension.

Things you’d like to see Max and Barry do in California before the tournament ends

Especially in the latter stages of the tournament when they have whole days spare

- Barry to review an In-and-out Burger
- Disneyland and/or Universal Studios
- surf lesson at the beach
- one of those open top buses that goes around celebrities houses
- Trip to SF and do Alcatraz

Max and Barry’s LA hotel

A listener email named the hotel and street it was on - I get why they redacted it, I guess. But to then name several bars and restaurants nearby and the fact it’s up a big hill. Coupled with all of Max’s video content means that it’s very easy to find.

Lucky for Max us stalker fans don’t have a newspaper funding flights to LA. But maybe US fans can turn it into Beatlemania outside - all those half and half Barry and Max scarfs etc.

Asda World Cup themed crisps (all £1)

- Ridge Cut Ranch Dressing
I wouldn’t say these scream ranch, like a herbier subtler sour cream. 6/10

- Ridge Cut Mexican-inspired Taco
I had high expectations because of the amount of flavour on these (see second picture). But it wasn’t particularly rounded like McCoys, just tasted of chilli. 7/10

- Vindaloo flavour Goalie Gloves
Texture is nowhere near as good as monster much. On the nose these smell incredible. The taste was just pure chilli, couldn’t taste it supposed to be curry, if you like very spicy crisps you’ll like the flavour the texture is still poor though. 5/10

- Cheeseburger flavour Crunchy Footballs
I really enjoyed these, taste unmistakeable of a charred cheeseburger flavour. Everything those Burger King Pringles weren’t. 9/10

- Poutine Fries flavoured chips
Chipstix texture, the flavour is pleasant but it’s quite subtle, wish it was stronger. 7.5/10

Haven’t tried because I know these flavours aren’t my thing:
- Ridge Cut Maple Barbecue
- Ridge Cut All-Day Breakfast

June World Cup Promotion (June 9th to 13th July)

⚽️ ⚽️ FIFA World Cup Meals (with a collectible cup 🥤)

- Big Mac

- Nuggets

- McPlant

🍔 Sweet Carolina BBQ Stack

🍗 Mexican Chipotle Chicken

🍔 Big Mac Sauce

🧀 Crunchy cheese bites

McFlurry and drinks are the same.

The two new world cup burgers aren't part of the world cup meals, nothing representing Canada, no new drinks or McFlurrys. Come on.

As we get closer to the World Cup - examples of unlicensed ‘football themed’ packaging on food or drink for seemingly no reason.

Warburtons have gone early.

Kettle - Brie and caramelised onion (£1.50 from Sainsburys)

Wasn’t sure what to expect with these as obviously Brie is quite a subtle cheese.

I think if someone told me these were ‘sour cream and onion’ I’d believe you.

There’s a creamy flavour and a slight onion flavour but no real punch. So not massively sweet either.

Generally not offensive, could happily eat quite a few but nothing incredible.

3 seems a bit pathetic when Lays are doing 40 different flavours around the world.

The classic European McToast with added radishes and then cottage cheese and radishes?

And incase it’s not obvious this is on the breakfast menu.
