Can anyone help identify what type of Palm this was in Central Florida?

Central Florida. I live in an HOA and it has to be replaced with an identical or I have to go through the approval process. Died this past winter along with many others in the area.

It looks close to a triple Foxtail, but something feels slightly different than a foxtail. Close to an Alexander also, but nearly positive it is not an alexander. Also thought maybe Christmas, but I think Christmas fronds were thicker. Though I can't totally remember what this looked like when alive.

Thanks!

Can someone help me understand the thought process behind X bunting in the 9th?

I am not a baseball guru. I used to never miss watching a game before Jeter's group gave our team away. This year I'm back watching every game and having fun (some of the time at least lol) with you all in the game threads. All that said, I can get down on some small ball, I'm not entirely ignorant, but I definitely understand Football and Basketball strategy better.

I need help understanding why, down 2 runs in the bottom 9th, after a lead off single...why do you bunt there?? Admittedly, I did not see it as I had work to finish and stepped away after the top of the 9th, so only going off play by play. Was it an intentional showing bunt? Or was he trying to catch them off guard? If it was a full on sac bunt, I need help understanding the strategy there. If we were only down 1, I totally get it. But especially considering how capable of a hitter X is, no outs and a lead off single down 2, why waste an out just to advance a runner to second?

If it was a disguised type bunt to try to catch them off guard and not just a sac to advance Caissie, please disregard this. Or downvote me into oblivion if you feel it's deserved, lol

[USA-FL/AL] [H] Paypal, Local Cash [W] Gaming Laptop 5070ti or better

Hello!

I have about $2k to spend on a gaming laptop. Needs a 5070ti or equivalent/better. Prefer it has 32gb, but willing to consider less for the right price as I can upgrade it.

Either Paypal G&S, or local pick up in either Orlando area or Central Alabama, as I am traveling back and forth between the two for work.

Whatcha got?

Is it not possible to enter "camping mode" aka leave AC running beyond 30 minutes while plugged in to a level 1/level 2 charger?

So this seems really unfortunate. I'm camping in the back of the car for the next couple weeks while working an out of state job. I pay the back seats flat and have a camping mattress, portable power station, and an assortment of camping items to make it comfortable in order to not have to waste money on a hotel (I have access to a bathroom and shower as well).

I have a 50lb kettlebell. I put it in the front seat over the pressure sensor with a foam kneeling pad under to protect the seat. I buckle the seatbelt. I press the on button on the steering wheel column. All is well, AC turns on, I turned the headlights to manual-off. However, when I go plug my 32A level 2 charger in (the work site has a couple RV sites, so outlet already available for level 2) to the car charge port and then enter the vehicle from back seat, the AC turns off and I get the little ventilation symbol, which is now the only way into the climate control, as the climate button no longer functions after plugging in. If I turn the AC back on, it shuts off after 30 minutes, despite the rest of the car staying on.

I know the rest stays on because the 12v outlet in the rear still works, and if I attempt to turn climate control on from app, it errors out saying I need to turn car ignition off first.

So it seems it's not possible to keep AC on when plugged in, unless anyone knows how to work around this? Otherwise I'll just have to charge up before going to bed it seems.

▲ 14 r/Affirm

[PSA] Affirm DOES work when booking at hotels directly, like Hilton hotel, even without the Affirm card, and can also work for incidentals!

I am posting this because yesterday before using Affirm to book, I searched around for answers and found many threads on this subject but a lot of conflicting info. I am sure this varies by hotel brand and even specific hotel locations, but overall, I wanted to post this in hopes it helps others with the same questions I had.

*This is not to discuss whether or not financing a hotel stay is a good idea or not. There are situations, like mine, that it makes sense, wherein I have to pay up front for business stays and get reimbursed by a client after.

So, I like to hook directly through Hotel websites rather than third party, especially for points/brand loyalty rewards and advantages. However, many brands when booking this way only hold your reservation rather than charging you upon booking, and don't actually charge you until you arrive at the hotel. If you don't have the Affirm card, here's what worked for me:

- I booked a 5 night stay at a Hampton Inn using the Hilton App. Once you choose your room type, you'll be presented with the full total including tax, but not including incidentals. I made note of the total. On the next page it asks for a card to hold the reservation. Your card is NOT charged at this time. You can either put your own card in or shoot over to the Affirm app plan your purchase.

- If your stay IS within the next 24 hours, go ahead and plan your purchase in Affirm app. Enter the total of the stay including taxes, AND ADD the cost of incidentals. In my case the stay was $711, and incidentals were $50 for the stay. So I entered $765 for the total in Affirm. I received my temporary card number, good for 24 hours, and entered the card info in the Hilton app and finalized the booking.

- If your stay is NOT within 24 hours but you don't have the physical Affirm card, in the Affirm app you can have one shipped to you and then immediately add the card info to your mobile wallet. You can go ahead and grab your card info from the Affirm app and enter it in the Hilton booking. When you arrive at the hotel, you will likely need to re-submit your purchase plan, but the card info will remain the same, and you can have the front desk use the card you already have on file for the booking. Again, just be sure to include the extra in your planned purchase for the incidentals.

- If your stay is NOT within 24 hours, and you DO already or WILL have the Affirm card by the time of your stay, you can either use your own card to hold the booking, and when you arrive at the hotel to check in, immediately let the front desk agent checking you in that you do NOT want to use the card on file from the booking...OR...use the Affirm card from the start of the booking if you have it already. Again, you may just need to re-submit your Affirm planned purchase in the app when ready to check in. Don't forget to factor in your incidentals.

TLDR/To sum it up: I used the temporary 24 hour Affirm card to book on Hilton's app, and checked in about 30 minutes later, using that card on file from the Hilton app reservation and DID include incidentals, and it went as smooth and problem free as using any other debit/credit card.

Snagged my first Legion today, how'd I do?

Legion Pro 5i - Core Ultra 9, 32GB, 1TB, 5070 open box in IMMACULATE condition for $1800.

Seems like a good deal. From Best Buy, currently new on sale for $2400 (normally $2750). I do have BB Plus so if it goes on sale for cheaper in the next 60 days, I'll get the difference back in cash.

I was torn between this and an Alienware Aurora 16x with identical specs except a 5060 and no OLED for $1450. Hoping I made the right decision!

Now that the deadline is passed, can anyone give a synopsis of what we got?

As a more casual fan, I don't get deep into Minors guys, nor follow other teams close. Can anyone give a quick summary of the guys we got, if they are likely to play for the Fish this season or if not, what potential they may have?

Did we receive anyone today that will play? I would think we would need to fill Bachar's spot, does Vodnik take that spot? Was the Hicks trade worthwhile?

Today overall kind of feels like making moves for the sake of it, nothing that couldn't have waited til the off season. But again, I don't understand baseball on that level nearly as well as I do NBA and NFL.

Can anyone tell me from this picture alone if the neutral is properly bonded to ground?

This is the main service disconnect, which then runs about 1500 feet to the main breaker panel. Do the neutral and ground lugs sharing the same terminal there at the bottom constitute a proper bond?

We pull for StL in the StL ATL series, right?

This is a no brainer right? We are eyeing the division now, yeah?

I know we have a long way to go, but only 5.5 games behind in the division, you have to make that the goal now. Insane that we are even in this discussion, but here we are!

As far as cap and contract rules go, could this be a possible solution to the JI contract?

Listen, I know the consensus here is JI is worthless. Personally, I think he is still an extremely competent defender and valuable in certain scenarios, though I wish he could find his shot again. BUT, opinions aside, I am just curious if this is something that could be done, or if the cap/contract rules wouldn't allow for this.

Could we, in theory, cut JI so that we only owe him the (I believe it is?) 8.5 mil rather than 14, and then sign him for say 3 years at a vet minimum, and spread that 8.5 over those 3 years as well, so that we don't have an 8.5 hit our cap, and rather, only like 3.5ish/year?

Opinions on his abilities aside, he is not worth 8.5, let alone 14, but seems this could be a worthwhile solution to free up cap space in exchange for a roster spot for someone that is a capable defender, despite the fact we need shooting.

I don't know that much about cap hit or contract rule, so regardless of opinions on JI specifically, I'm curious if something like this is allowed.

[US-FL] Need a rock base for the Lego Balrog display I am about to start on

I am looking for a rock base, basically like what you see in the picture at the bottom of the actual Lego set picture, More photos in the comments for further clarification/ideas.

This will go into a display case as seen in the pictures in the comments as well, with the dimensions of the case. This Lego set is 17.5 inches wide when fully expanded, but I will have it in more of a V shape, so probably more like 15 to 16 inches.

I will want the base hollow inside, and probably between 2.5 to 3 inches tall, so that I can fit the battery box for the lighting in it.

Not really sure what this would cost, but I am of course willing to compensate fairly, and know that we are talking significantly more than those temu prices in the pictures haha

Need recommendation for cheapest Matter smart hub for an outdoor light

So, I bought and installed a Dewenwils Matter smart timer to connect our gate column lights to, so we had the ability to remotely turn them on/off but also to schedule them to turn on at dusk and off at dawn daily. After installing today, it seems I need a hub to do anything more than turn it on and off from our phones.

What is the cheapest/most basic hub I can get that I can install in the network rack inside the house that will give me the ability to schedule the lighting? Also, can anyone confirm that as long as the timer is on the same network as the hub, I should have the ability to control it correct? It wouldn't need to be in wifi range of the timer so long as the timer is in range of an AP and connected to the same network correct?

Thank you!

Looking at buying a New 2024 Riverside RV Retro 165, need advice regarding warranty since Riverside went under and trailer is as is despite being new.

Wife and I are in love with the Riverside RV Retro we found, a 2024 Seafoam Green, being sold brand new just under 15k. The problem is, it has no warranty, as Riverside RV is no longer in business. The dealer is offering the XtraRide Platinum warranty for $1998. I haven't countered yet, but can and will. Before I do, is this warranty worth it? In normal circumstances I probably wouldn't. But given I'd be buying with no warranty from the co.pany no longer existing, what are your thoughts on this? Is it a bad idea to buy the RV at all given the situation etc?

This post is in regards to the LTE version of the s330 specifically.

I need to install a camera in 7 different very remote areas. We don't want to have to manually charge the battery on these. The included solar panel and battery may suffice, but if they did not, could I do any (or any combination) of the following?

  1. Could I replace the solar panel with a slightly larger, say 15w 5v panel?

  2. Could I somehow use a second battery? For example, there are solar panels with built in batteries, such as this one, https://a.co/d/0bsijg8g ...could this somehow work in conjunction with the built in battery to provide additional battery?

  3. Are there any higher capacity batteries that are proven better than the included? I see some 12000mah replacement batteries, but does anyone have first hand experience with a battery that is definitely better than the included?

Any feedback or suggestions super appreciated!
