this song has given me chills so bad. i need to know what genre this would be considered and if anyone has any similar reccs? its just the harmonies and the high pitched voice, also kinda reminds me of Come Inside of My Heart - IV of Spades, although thats more mellow and more like a love song,, where Savior is more emotional and sad? i neeeeed more like it, i want to make a playlist of songs that make me feel the way this song makes me feel!

Hey all! I have been auditioning and practicing and officially voice acting for about 2 years now! Need some advice! I guess I don't really understand the reputation effect as much as I thought in posting fandubs. I was planning on posting some fandubs to comics, cutscenes from games, shows/movies, etc. but I have been reading a lot about how it could negatively impact your reputation as a voice actor, even if you credit the original artist/IP and aren't making money off of it. I just fear if I were to, for example, voiceover a Marvel cutscene or something from an animated series, it would ruin my chances of ever working with Marvel.

Does anyone have any experience making dubbing content and should I just stay away from it completely? I know Fandubs are a big topic in the VA world so I was wondering what people's opinions were on it and what advice you would give me or someone in a similar position on wanting to post and showcase my skills on social media! (Also I have been a YouTuber for most of my life so I understand the logistics of copyright and such, so I don't really need that explained to me, I'm mainly concerned about my professional reputation as a voice actor.)

For context, my ex and I broke up almost 2 years ago. We took a break on okay terms, we were just fighting a lot, our families got involved, we tried salvaging what was left and taking some space to reflect. I messaged her a few weeks later to talk and talk about what we took the time for, but she had moved on, told me a bunch of things about how she fouund herself, went out more, started going to the gym, etc. I assumed she also talked to some guys, (which was later confirmed), so I spent the next few weeks getting gaslit and manipulated, and then she ghosted me one day and I never heard from her again.

Fast forward a few months, I finally block her on TikTok, because she kept viewing my profile, as I post gaming content and stuff and just wanted to separate myself from her, and also because she was posting thirst traps and petty post breakup tiktoks that kept being recommended to me, so I decided I had enough. Fast forward one more time into a few months ago (almost a year after I blocked her), her best friend viewed my profile. I was upset at first, but got over it quickly. I didn't block her best friend since I didn't care much and figured they were just curious or something. Still felt odd, and had a hard time thinking of it as my safe space, but I moved on.

I made it a few more months, until within the last month, I noticed her best friend had viewed my account once again, but this time there was a name of another account right above it. This is the name of my exes current bf (I knew this from other friends snooping. I had no want to know anything about him, since I moved on, but obviously I have that knowledge). I also made a new account to post a different niche, and they all started viewing that account too.

I am assuming the worst obviously, they are all probaly huddled up laughing at me doing what I love, and I have kind of learned to not care, but it still feels weird that she is most likely using her current bfs account to stalk me, after most likely getting a text from her best friend to go look at my new video.

Part of me wants to block all of them and not worry about them, but part of me wants to leave them unblocked and use it as motivation to follow my dreams and prove whatever they could be saying about me wrong. I am torn, because using ur bfs account to spy on your ex is just weird behavior, and I just need advice on what to do. Should I block everyone and not look back? I need help getting over the mentality that they will "win" if I block them. I feel like thats not really the case. Or should I prove to myself that I don't care enough to even block them. I have never really dealt with a super odd breakup like this so I don't really know what I want to do. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience. Thanks so much!

For context I am a 23M, I have ADHD and Anxiety, but that is not super important with this post, but could be relevant.

For me, I experience it so bad to the point where I start crying over the experiences that I was too dumb to cherish when I was in them. There are so many different memories that I have that are painfully nostalgic for me. The first type of "real" nostalgia for me was before I started becoming addicted to a stimulant medication.

The other type of nostalgia that unfortunately I fear is not a "real sense" of nostalgia was when I struggled with addiction and was always in a high state of mind, the addiction itself is not what I want to go over here, its mainly the feeling of missing that type of happiness, which heightens the "nostalgic" feeling. The memories are around the same type of memories I experienced before this stage of my life, simple things like playing a game on a summer night, but others were more odd, like listening to a very specific song driving to school on a autumn evening after taking that pill that gave me that head-high feeling. Most of these feelings are just my struggle to understand how to feel as happy as I used to, both on and off my medication, before and after I experienced more synthetic happiness during that era in my life. I fear that a lot of the things I'm doing now are not as good as they used to be, and I try to create those emotions again in many ways, like reaching out to old friends, playing old games, doing things I used to do, but I feel like a fraud. I drifted from people for a reason, and trying to force that connection again only created resentment, but makes the nostalgia so much worse, since that memory really WAS the point of no return of happiness in that moment with those specific people, doing that specific thing. I tell myself "it really wasn't all that" and do a full elaborative deep-dive on the actual experience. Most of it ends up actually being toxic, not healthy, or not as it seems, so obviously I am sugar coating a lot of things or seeing them through rose-colored glasses. I try to resist urges to spark old things up again but the nostalgia takes control and I make decisions that I end up regretting, I'll find myself scrolling old messages, listening to old songs staring at my wall, or just daydreaming about a memory so detailed that it almost feels superhuman.

I try to practice gratitude every day, and take a step back and tell myself to cherish this moment, but the past experiences that I have had always catch up to me, it always comes back. I just feel like my brain chemistry will forever be altered by my old medication, and that old memories will find their way to try to prove to me that it will never be better than how it used to be, even in situations where logically I know that's just not true at all. I have nostalgia of the one or two good experiences I had with my abusive ex, I have nostalgia with people who disowned me, and yet my brain continues to tell myself that those few memories that keep coming up today will be the best and most innocent times I will ever experience. I wish my mind would slow down, I wish it would quiet itself and allow me to experience the present without being so fixated on the past. I think there are so many triggers for me that it is almost impossible to not have those memories come up in my head. I just hope it gets better with the work I'm putting in.

I started taking 25mg Zoloft 5 days ago, and for about 2 years now, I have been drinking these Kratom Seltzer drinks, since I used to be hooked on Adderall and Ritalin, so they help with my substance problems. They don't have much Kratom in them, like 45mgs, so not even a full gram. My psych said it should be fine and to just monitor the symptoms, but I am unsure if the side effect I experienced falling asleep last night was correlated with the mixing of them both. I was falling asleep last night and just started feeling something I have never felt before, almost like a panic attack, and my brain and mouth started tingling a bit until I sat up and took some deep breaths. It went away after 2 minutes or so, and it didn't happen again, but my brain or my head in general has felt kind of fuzzy? Almost like constant acid reflix but always in my head? If that makes sense... Please let me know if you have either taken both of these at the same time, the effect it had on you, and just even if you take only Zoloft and have experienced this side effect before. Thank you!
