This is Scuttlebutt. He/she was hiding in a friend’s engine bay. A different friend spent three hours coaxing him/her out in the middle of the night. He/she has already been adopted by a neighbor.

Duolingo has been trying to teach me the word 'res' in recent lessons. But it's never used the word in a sentence so I can't use context clues, and the English translation in exercises like this is 're' which doesn't mean anything sensible to me! The only translation I see for 'res' in a dictionary is something like 'beef', which has no relation to 're' in English.

Anyone have any clue what this word is supposed to mean? Or is Duolingo hallucinating?
