The new podium thing

So Crewfit but in groups of 2 so if you have a not so great partner - or no partner does that automatically disadvantage you?

Was looking for a low fat high protein snack that’s easy no fuss to make and I think this is it

I was trying to find a healthy low fat high protein snack that was easy to make

I think this is it. It’s called roasted grams. It’s actually roasted or baked chickpeas. I bought it from FairPrice. But the original is tasteless and bland. So I added pepper, soy sauce and decided to “bake the flavour in” using my oven. It tastes nice right out of the oven. Not sure how it will taste tomorrow. I had like 10g of it. It was yummy.

Going to try garlic powder soy sauce version next.

What other flavours do you think I should try??

Today’s lunch - garlic chilli prawns and Chinese cabbage

Need more protein without the fats so I went for prawns today.

  1. 10g minced garlic
  2. 30g spring onions
  3. 450g grey prawns shelled deveined
  4. sauce: dark soy sauce about 2/3 teaspoon, 1 teaspoon of my homemade XO chilli sauce, 1/2 teaspoon oyster sauce, a tablespoon of water and 1/3 teaspoon of miso paste

1 teaspoon of oil I use coconut oil
Fry garlic
Fry spring onions (white parts)
Medium heat

Then crank up heat - add prawns
Let it brown the prawns, once nearly cooked
Add remaining spring onions
And then add in the sauce

Fry until all the prawns are well coated. Remove

Like to say Wok hey and Niku Iku aren’t great

Tried Wok Hey and Niku Iku and honestly it’s not great. Tried Niku Iku out of curiosity but it was really bleh! For Wok Hey I only really did their fried rice cos I am kind of a fried rice fan. I cook lots of fried rice at home myself (minus the high pressure gas stove).

I had owned a catering company and I invented a peranakan style nasi goreng which was very popular with our clients. Our fried rice has the fried egg like that you see in fish soup which I learnt from Blanco court fish soup in the 90s.

If you had to substitute wok hey and niku iku what would it be and where?

So I have always been using this but it’s not working on my IPhone 17 pro.

On iOS 26.4.2

  1. I have enough storage
  2. I don’t have many apps open
  3. screen shots appear in photo gallery the next day or hours later
  4. rebooted and Force rebooted as well

It’s affecting my work. I sometimes need to screenshot and explain things to people.

My question above what gift to give? Note the wedding is Orchid country club.
Are there any specific attire I should take note of?
Is it ok to wear something casual?

Edit update: I am middle aged female my concept of casual is intend to wear a Ralph Lauren light blue Linen shirt, with a love bonito pants with a pair of brown loafers. Since everyone says to be more formal I will throw on a jacket, so it’s more formal

Always been doing vanilla cos I prefer the “plain” simple vanilla. But what other flavours do you like and if you think other brands are good, and same value better flavour do share too.

Also what do you think about non-Dairy protein. Haven’t tried those before. Those that drink this kind - thoughts on their efficacy and taste.

I am also keen to explore flavourless whey protein to add into savoury soups like my home made veggies+bone broth soup to thicken it and give more protein (what are the protein powders that can do this?)

The iconic Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster sauce well it’s the only oyster sauce you should get, is finally in a squeeze bottle.

Honestly squeeze bottle oyster sauces are common in China. I know we want to limit the use of plastics (I can hear the environmentalists screaming already).

Is this a yay or a nay for you?

Bought it at NTUC FairPrice

Chagee is the new Starbucks in terms of lifestyle drink pervasiveness. With swanky stores and cozy decor it’s the place to go these days for Gen Z and Gen Alpha.

Question to the millenials and Gen X still prefer Starbucks or still Yakun Toastbox lolx
