On 30 August 2018: J.R.R. Tolkien's The Fall of Gondolin was published. Edited by Christopher Tolkien, it's the tale of the elven city of Gondolin and its destruction, over 6,500 years before The Lord of the Rings. Tolkien called it "the first real story of this imaginary world".
My last adquisition from Viz of Ito Junji...
Now wanted to share as of his birthday... my last acquisition from Viz of Ito Junji... curiously after gone through Lovesickness the content in Deserter has this look different in the draws and as pointed out by the edition these stories are from the first ones worked by Ito Junji.
Happy Birthday.
I want to talk about everything with at least one person as I talk about things with myself --Aglaya Ivanovna Yepanchina. --The Idiot.
I made it to the line quoted ... reading it with context ... Aglaya...
The Real Osamu Dazai by Tuttle.
I finished reading, No longer Human, 人間失格, or in Spanish: Indigno de ser Humano, I read the Spanish edition which is a wonderful edition of top quality by Satori editorial.
After finishing 人間失格, I was wondering what this guy, Dazai, life was about beyond the book I just finished, impossible to supposed or see anything further.
Then I saw this other book by Tuttle editorial and decided to read more of Dazai, actually just after finishing 人間失格, I wanted to read more of him, well with this new acquisition now I'm reading the first which is memories.
Well, happens that Memories is very aligned to the first pages of 人間失格, so I feel that indeed this book compliments exactly what I wanted, even more details about Dazai's family, Dazai's siblings, etc....
I wanted to share the photograph with you...
Saludos. =)

New Tolkien discovery at Oxford
A previously unpublished, nearly complete translation by J.R.R. Tolkien has been discovered by Dr Andoni Cossio from St Catherine's College, Oxford, giving us a fascinating glimpse into the scholar behind The Lord of the Rings.
Tolkien was a Professor at Oxford from 1925 to 1959.

This machine lets you run borrowed books through a UV sterilization cycle....
Shanghai Library really said we are NOT doing musty, stranger-handled books anymore 📖✨ This machine lets you run borrowed books through a UV sterilization cycle — it fans the pages open, blasts them with ultraviolet light, and hands your book back like nothing happened. It genuinely looks like your book is getting a spa facial with a blow-dry 😭
If you've ever grabbed a return and immediately recoiled because the last person clearly ate lunch over it, you get why this exists. One cycle and all the ick is gone.
The comments are exactly what you'd expect — some people saying they'd run their textbook through just to feel something, others asking if there's a people-sized version for rush hour on Line 2. Either way: simple, thoughtful, maximum peace of mind.
