I’m in a dark place right now spiritually and we have a lot of misfortune happening while other people around us are being blessed.

Would anyone, preferably people who have believed in God and prayer, spirituality for a long time, maybe care to talk in some dms and share your perspective?

Im combination of sad and in awe of the synchronicity of this universe. She was basically my adopted mother growing up and Chris Cornell was like my guiding voice.

I remember when I would listen to soundgarden, she would tell me to “turn that evil sounding music down” but when I would listen to his solo work, she asked me “who is that man singing, he has a wonderful voice” lol. We lost two wonderful human beings on this day..

I’m really exhausted by the dichotomy that I hear so often that you have to be more of either one or the other. I like both and I think both cats and dogs are equally unique and capable of expressing love and affection in their own way.

I have had a German shepherd and now a black Bombay and she is every bit as intelligent and loving as our Bull/birddog mix and probably almost on par with our shepherd who passed away.

I think both cats and dogs are amazing creatures and I consider myself blessed to have both of these little angels living under my roof.

She has been fading in and out for a while now and it has progressed to the point where she is in pain and barely breathing every time she wakes up and is afraid.

She was basically my mother growing up and I do not want her to suffer any more. She does not deserve this. She was the best and most selfless mother anyone could ask for.

Long story short, my grandmother who was basically my mother is about to pass away she has less than a week left to live according to doctors. My mom and dad were not there for me at all growing up just her and my grandfather for reasons I won’t get into.

To add insult to injury My aunt has most going to her in will which means her son, a meth addict and theif-who ha barely ever worked for the 45 years of his mooching life-will likely eventually inherit most of everything despite what I’m being told.

I am struggling with lot being bitter because of this. I’ve worked so hard my entire life and now I’m seeing someone who has done nothing but get high and mooch off his mother stand to inherit her property, and millions in retirement savings that I never even saw growing up.

I grew up poor and with drug addicted shitty narcissist parents and I at least made something of myself if not great but something in spite of it all.

He had a mother who actually tried to raise him and put him through school but he dropped out and just did nothing but get high and mooch and force the entire family to pay his debts and he stands to inherit everything by law if nothing changes.

Please pray that things change to be fair and justice be done. Or pray that I somehow and blessed by God in spite of all do this. I am so bitter right now I don’t know how to even talk to God tbh.

The team is a PLACE team on a coastal city in the east coast. Obviously not mentioning exact state and city but near the beach. with a production model set so that you have to call so may total leads and so many of their leads (old unresponsive ones mainly) each week to meet a quota. Also as an additional requirement, you must go in person to 2 meetings per week. All of this and they still take 50% of your commission on top of the brokerage commission.

The leads they initially give are very old, low quality ones. Also for any of your own calls to count, you must make them with their dialer in their CRM system with no guarantee that the higher ups on the team are not seeing your input leads and calling them as well. You would never know until it was listed and even then it could not be proven as expired, FSBOs could technically be found anywhere by anyone.

The biggest red flag here is that it seems like only 2 people on the team - the team lead and his assistant - are getting any business at all right now and the rest are just making calls when they do, most never meet their assigned quota any given week. Occasionally I will see one of the other agents get like one listing every 3 months or so but even that is rare.

Another big red flag I’ve seen so far is that when I look in the CRM I see a TON of names of agents who no longer work on the team. I did some digging and they have went through agents like changing socks over the past few years. Most only stayed a few months and others who had been there before they worked with PLACE left not long after they started getting stricter with the rules.

It seems so far that they are mainly just interested in PLACE seeing that they have met their team call quotas and so on so they can get whatever benefits they are getting higher up from the quotas being met.

The PLACE model really seems like the Real Estate version of an MLM so far. Am I just having unrealistic expectations or have others here had similar experience with a team like this?

I’m strongly considering when my last deal closes to leave the team and just do it on my own because at least then I won’t be giving an additional 50% of my commission if I actually do get a listing. On top of that, I have another job on the side and am not able to make it to their meetings anyway if I want my bills paid right now. So I don’t even get access to their giant lead pool that they talk about all the time because of that. I am literally just finding my own leads at this point and if I were get another deal I’d be giving them 50% cut just for using their sign.

Seems at this point like they thrive off of kids and stay at home parents who have others paying their bills and can meet all of this quota stuff without getting anything tangible in return.

Anyone else having this issue? I was at 59 minutes on the task and then it kicked me out saying the limit was reached. Did I work too quickly or is it a community-wide limit and not just for my account?

I have a solid 3.5-4 rating on everything I have worked on so far…
