Zero Caliber 2 Remastered is coming to PS VR2 in October | New Trailer

Hey friends, we finally revealed on Thursday that Zero Caliber 2 Remastered is coming to PS VR2 this October!
Store page: https://store.playstation.com/en-us/concept/10019536/

If you're not familiar with the series, Zero Caliber is our military VR FPS, and ZC2 continues the story of the original with a full single-player/co-op campaign, PvP multiplayer, loads of weapons and attachments, and plenty of things to blow up.
We've been working hard on bringing the game over to PS VR2, and the Remastered version is our opportunity to make sure ZC2 gets the PlayStation debut it deserves.

You can already wishlist it on the PlayStation Store (link above); and every wishlist helps us massively!
Or you can enjoy some Zero Caliber VR right now to prepare for the sequel:

We just revealed the next-gen direction we're taking COVR, our tactical VR milsim

Hey sub, we finally revealed what we've been cooking with COVR, our tactical VR milsim. It's a pretty damn ambitious leap from where the game started, especially for an indie team. We're calling this our next-gen direction because that's genuinely what we're aiming for - a tactical shooter that pushes visuals, immersion, gunplay and interaction forward while still running natively on Quest.
https://www.meta.com/experiences/covr/26564910626481959/

I know that's a big promise, especially on standalone hardware, so rather than just talking about it endlessly, we want to develop it alongside the community. We'll be kicking off playtests and sharing a lot more behind-the-scenes development stuff as well as native Quest footage soon.

The store page linked above is now live too, so if COVR looks like your kind of thing, a wishlist would help us out massively.

Would also genuinely love to hear what you guys think of the new direction!

Zero Caliber 2's store page is LIVE!

Hey all! With Zero Caliber 2's release date announcement coming real soon, I figured I'd fire up the PlayStation Store page so y'all can wishlist it early: https://store.playstation.com/en-us/concept/10019536

If you're not familiar with our games, Zero Caliber 2 is the sequel to Zero Caliber VR, our OG classic military shooter - a direct continuation of the story with more action, more cinematic eye-candy, way smarter enemies, a bigger arsenal, and no compromise. Solo and Co-op campaign, multiplayer, it's all in there.

Stay tuned for the release date announcement!

- Dan

PCVR gameplay of our tactical milsim (COVR)

So we’re making this tactical milsim called COVR, and there was some confusion under my last post about which platforms we’re targeting.
Just because the game has a Quest Store page first doesn’t mean we won’t release a PCVR version. ;)

The Steam store page is coming soon, stay tuned!

When was the last time you purchased a VR game, and what was it?

Was it on sale, or did you pay full price? Just curious. :)

Despite the VR market looking a little rough lately, we’re actually building 2 new VR games!

Hey all, it's been a while since I posted here. We're super busy working on 2 new VR games (Frostbite and COVR). Despite the VR market looking a little rough lately, we’re going all in!

  • Frostbite is a Far Cry-inspired open-world game, taking place on a Northern island with: solo campaign and co-op, fully interactive drivable vehicles, different factions, outposts, stealth, full physics and more!
  • COVR on the other hand is a hardcore tactical milsim. We’ve always been fans of the genre, and with our experience in VR shooters, we wanted to see how far we could push it. The competition is tough, but if you’re after a proper milsim with banger visuals, an overarching story, randomized missions, and actually smart enemies, COVR is for you.

If you'd like to support our projects, a wishlist on Quest (and soon Steam) would be greatly appreciated:

We finally got our Far Cry-inspired game running on Quest 3!

Big milestone for us this week - Zero Caliber: Frostbite is now running natively on Quest 3!
For context: Frostbite is our kind of open-world VR game inspired by Far Cry and set on a hostile Northern island, coming to Quest (and SteamVR).

The footage is from an early test build, so there’s still plenty of work ahead, but getting the game onto the headset feels great.

We’re planning to run regular playtests throughout development and gather as much player feedback as possible. If you’d like to help shape the game, feel free to join our Discord!

And if the project looks interesting, wishlisting Frostbite on the Quest Store helps a lot while we’re still a small indie team trying to get noticed:

Happy to answer any questions about the game or development!

It’s not the best VR game out there, but I’m still extremely proud of what our team achieved with Zero Caliber 2 Remastered, especially considering we released it on Quest first.

That’s it, that’s the post. Hope you enjoyed the quick edit. :)

P.S. - If you’re curious what we’ve been up to lately, join our Discord. We’re currently working on 2 new VR games and sharing regular progress updates there.

As you may know, we’re working on two new VR games, one of them being COVR, a hardcore tactical shooter focused on realism and visuals.

We’re starting to get to the point where I can show a bit more. The practice map is pretty much done, and we’re reworking weapon sounds right now. Still early (alpha), so there’s a lot more to come.

If this sounds like your thing, our Discord’s the best place to keep up with progress. Or just follow me here 🙂

P.S.: full body is in the works, don’t worry!

Think a proper, visually satisfying tactical shooter that focuses on realism, intense and high stakes breaching gameplay plus believable NPC behavior.

We're making great progress with COVR. (but it's still alpha!)

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but VR is missing a proper Onward successor, so we decided to try our hands at this genre.

We're currently recruiting players for future play tests, you can sign up here: https://forms.gle/cGFAvm5Nmb3UCgCz8

Or join our Discord for juicy sneak peeks: https://discord.gg/xrealgames

You can also wishlist it on Quest if that's your thing (Steam store page is coming soon).
