Found wild zebra dove chick. De nested poor flyer. Advice quickly please

I found him under the nest . His mom has another chick. See photos.

Advice? This happened 15 minutes ago. I wanted to put him back in the nest but it's too high. Asked store owners around if they had anything to help reach like a ladder. To put the little guy back. While they looked I tried to see if I could get close enough to grab him. He flew away but poorly, up and around right into a wall. I think I'd kill him chasing him around. I don't know if I can help. Taking him home as a pet? I'd do it.

Any advice appreciated. Lots of street cats over there.

Silly question? This little guy likes my awful singing right? His body language?

I see him in his cage on the sidewalk everyday in my walk and started kneeling down and singing at him. Cause I'm so lonely 😁? No because he's so cute! I read wing fluttering can be a 'get back!' or 'I'm happy' sign. What's his verdict on my serenade?

Leave on mute if you don't want to hear a terrible Jingle Bells being sung.

The owner takes him in every night, during the day he's in front of a tourism service shop.

Interesting Winter Camo M1916 Stalhelm

I bought this as a shell from Great War Militaria back in the 20th century ( they had a paper catalogue). Per GWM it has whitewash applied over the camo for snow. Faded to yellowish and thin now. It was most likely a battlefield pick up because according to GWM it has typical blood rust. I added a real liner that somehow lost it's helmet. Has anyone heard of snow camo on WW1 stalhelm camo before?

Love for the Rob Lowe Salem's Lot, ( Rutger Howard, Donald Sutherland, James Cromwell) hard to find n a free audiobook

In 2004 Salem Lot was released as a two part television mini series. Starring Rob Lowe as Ben Mears, Donald Sutherland as Strickland, James Cromwell as Father Callahan and Rutger Howard as Barlow. It is considered the truest adaptation to the book. It's been updated to taking place in the late 1990's early 2000's. I have a special place in my heart for the 1979 version. Scared me as a kid, but the 2004 version hold up. It plays it straight and Rutger Howards Barlow is menacing and handsome. Not the Nosferatu of the other adaptations. Is Rob Lowe Sir Lawrence Olivie? Nope but he's good in this.

Finding it is hard! Right now not on any major streaming service. You'll have to order a DVD copy. I know that's a tall order in 2026 but I recommend getting a DVD player while you can. Owning movies in hand is real. Read the fine print of any digital purchase.

As a consolation see link to excellent dramatization audio book version free on YouTube

My new best friend Mr. Mo!

As recently as a few months ago, I might have called pigeons, flying rats. Like most prejudice and hatred, that attitude was a combination of teaching and ignorance. I am so happy to be free of my own closed mind related to pigeons.

Mr Mo and Mrs Lady Bird Mo, wait it for me everyday on that pedestrian bridge. I see his little head poke up. The past few days he's been flying out to greet me, then flying back to the bridge. See photos. He will fly out when I'm 50 meters away on the sidewalk, perch on a sign til I pass then fly back. Mr. Mo and Lady Bird are getting tamer, still no hand feeding but with time ....

Child's scrapbook 1899

I found this in my grandparents house last year. I guess in the 1890s, color photos and advertising material was special enough to collect. Some pressed flowers too.

A different kinda blood cheep?

The other birds don't accept him. Maybe this thread will. Myna birds don't typically have a molt like this. We saw him hanging around a breakfast buffet at a resort in southern Thailand. The staff said, this bird is, 'special needs' to translate politely. Also that he's been like this for almost a year and the other birds don't like him. I think he's cute!

Is this a pet dove in the wild? What are these plastic bands on both legs?

I feed wild Zebra Doves in Bangkok. I have noticed one has two plastic looking bands on his legs. It's impossible he got into something and wound up with such well defined identical things stuck to his legs. I first noticed it about 2 months ago. He seems fine, no disability evident. Will it cause him problems eventually?

Squeakus is a Bangkok Thailand -temple cat. He is very nice.

I have been friends w Squeakus since the pandemic. He lives at a local Buddhist temple. Temple cats live outdoors but get fed and badic veterinary care, fixed and shots. He was the abbot's favorite so he tried to bring Squeakus indoors to sleep in the air-conditioning. We call him Squeakus for a reason, he's a very talkative cat! The abbot couldn't sleep. Squeakus is well fed.

a dove? , I want to be a vulture

You can be anything you want🫤. Even a vulture. I honestly don't know the story w this little guy. He was hanging around a resort hotel on the beach s breakfast buffet. The staff said in Thai... Um politely translated- he's a special needs bird. Always hangs around here.

Please excuse the post on doves...?

Love for Kolchak the Night Stalker Vampire Movie n Episode

The Nightstalker aired as the CBS Movie of the week, 1972. it follows a gruff reporter, Karl Kolchak, in Las Vegas who winds up chasing a vampire while fighting the police and local government who refuse to acknowledge what's happening. It was the highest rated made for TV film to date. A sequel The Night Strangler aired as a TV movie in 1973, not vampire themed.

It spawned a series that lasted only one season. Kolchak the Night Stalker 1974-75. The 4th episode is The Vampire. This time a call girl vampire is running amok in LA.

The show is wonderfully 1970's. It is hugely influential, Chris Carter said it was his inspiration for the X files.

I recommend both the TV Movie, The Nightstalker - available free on YouTube.

The Vampire Episode S01E4. Is only available on the DVD as far as I know. Some episodes of the series had copyright lapse and are on YouTube, but not the vampire. I watched these as a very young kid way back then and they freaked me out. I can't judge them completely objectively but still strongly recommend both.

Mr. Mo update. Happy news about the widower droopy wing violent street pigeon.

Mr. Mo was part of a breeding pair, I was feeding on a pedestrian bridge. They had two chicks, but one day I found nothing but feathers in the nest, smear w chick fuz on the road below. Never saw Mr. Mo's partner again. He became violent, w other birds. Although he may have already been like that. So a few weeks after his tragedy, love blossomed again. Mrs Mo! I am not surprised , if I was a lady pigeon , come on!? Coo coo coo! Shake my tail feathers! He's a specimen of pigeon hood. Despite the droopy wings.
