Prepared a timelapse for this super set of blooms on my oldest plant! Sourced from a nice old couple that had a stand growing up a rock wall by their pool. They were moving and needed a few of their plants rescued and relocated ✨

Listen, I know someone of you are gonna be like "oh, that's disrespectful to the cactus, how could you?" But hold on, just listen.... I don't care 🤷🏻‍♂️

These are my cactuses. Mine. What I do to them should not affect the way you live your life or the way you feel about me as a person. Am I crazy? Oh yeah. Always. Am I crazy about the cactus? Not so much so that I won't do scientific experiments on them. I do it so you don't have to, or so you can try it if it's what you desire 🙌🏽

If you hate this, that sucks, it's not gonna stop me from doing it again to fancier and fancier clones. Imagine a BD with 4 areoles at the top, you're telling me you wouldn't want to force a quadcot and possibly force 4 pups or better yet, a revert??

What I'm trying to say is, you can do whatever you want. You might go to jail, but you can do it 🙌🏽

If you want to try this yourself, I'd recommend starting with PC or some mids you don't mind slicing up for science.

Super stoked on these crosses. It's a miracle I got any flowers at all, San Diego and other areas experienced a warmer winter than usual and a lot of my cactuses didn't get the cold like usual, so I think that's why only a handful flowered. Had most success with hand pollinating in the shade with flower bags, to not only keep the bees away as much as possible, but also ensure a successful pollination by allowing the flowers to stay open for as much time as they need. It worked 👀 The Thelogonus x TPM and (ARB x VRG) x TPM have that TPM vigor of wanting to grow and germinated with the quickness. Same with the Red Torch x TPM. TPM was the bread winner here, at least a gram of pollen was collected to breed with these cactuses, and still about a half gram remains. I'm shooting for Echinopsis x TPM and vice versa. The TPM has about 6 flower buds emerging and I'm hopeful to produce some even sweeter crosses 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Hoping this cool seed grown PUMPS and gets big, never seen it big before. Got another clone, Guru x Dino that's pumping on a Lophocereus Schottii and if I get a flower I'll cross with TPM 🙌🏽🙌🏽

A friend gave me 2ft of a fully variegated Pachanoi and some seedlings to graft. Been experimenting with uncommonly used graft stock like Pachycereus. It's juicy and sticky, I'd compare the flesh to opuntia with how it keeps the scion attached. The spines are a nuisance, however, as they hinder the blade from cutting evenly, in my experience.

Also using a 6" thick Huanucoensis as graft stock, should pump tf out of the scions.
