Couldn't give up on it, roots looked good, cut off all the bottom leaves, repotted and quarantined to a different room

Last pic is what it looked like, hoping it will recover. Throwing it away is not an option for me I have to give it a chance

This belonged to a neighbor that passed away, she had them in a greenhouse, this is their second summer with me and they are outside PNW at the beach. I just noticed the new growth straight up. I am assuming it will have a flower?
