I have an E200 C124 from 1995 and lately it's had some power steering fluid leaks. I've changed the low pressure return hose as it was a bit cracked around the nipple and weeping, and it's not leaking at that hose anymore, but still in other places. The pump and tank are completely dry, however the high pressure line and steering box are wet. I don't however see any defects on the high pressure hose. Is it possible that the hose simply sweats the fluid through its walls due to age? How difficult could it be to change the hose? Would you DIY or leave it to
a mechanic?
Hello. I am writing this post because i am at wit's end.
I have a 1995 Mercedes W124 Coupe, and I am looking for a replacement of the left wing mirror. Mine was electrically adjustable and heated. I found one online, but after buying and trying to mount it did I realise it was actually for a sedan and doesn't fit.
Please, I've searched everywhere. If you know someone or someplace selling such a part, PLEASE COMMENT! Your help is greatly appreciated. I will be posting this into others Mercedes subs so more people see this.
Toto ma fakt štve. Vonku je 40 stupňov, slnko pečie na plné obrátky a na 100 kilometrov nie je vidno ani jeden oblak, a naši geniálni architekti dávajú na autobusové a električkové zastávky priehľadné/priesvitné strechy?? Prosím povedzte mi JEDNU výhodu týchto striech. Ani pekne nevyzerajú.
I've gotten interested in the 1995 Mercedes W124 Coupe that my family has and have begun restoring it bit by bit. So far I've:
-Replaced the trunk slam stops that were completely annihilated (pic 1 after and 2 is comparison)
-Had the AC system evacuated and refrigerant refilled (pic 3)
- Flushed the power steering system. It had Dexron ATF in it instead of MB 236.3 and the return line was leaking. (Pic. 4)
- Cleaned the bottom engine bay aerodynamic shield while I was at it. It was filthy from PS fluid, oil and road grime
**What still needs to be done:**
- The refrigerant high pressure switch that turns on the auxiliary fan is broken, and to remove it and replace it I'd have to remove all the new refrigerant and then put it back in, which I seriously don't want to do right now
- The hood insulation pad is crumbling. I'm probably gonna buy an aftermarket soundproofing set and replace it with that.
- The notorious engine wiring harness. If you know you know.
You already probably know that at the current pace of exploring the galaxy, considering we have mapped over 260 million systems since 2014, it would take us over 17,000 years to explore all of the Milky Way.
If the entire world were playing the game at once, it would only take 37 minutes.
