i was wrong

i declined an order that was a really good offer because one of the items was a thong. i thought i would be uncomfortable going to a store to buy it. i later realized that this was wrong and i was judgemental. i then spent 20 minutes trying to go to another zone just to realize i made the wrong decision and i could've kept the momentum going off of that last offer. i realize what i did was wrong and immature. just coming here to say; don't get weirded out, it's okay, and its not that serious. i will do better. everyone is a work in progress.

Stuck at 95%

it just sucks that the last 3 orders I accepted didn't push me over 96% like how I wanted them to. They usually ordered 1 or 2 items so I guess that's how the math goes. But even then, I accepted a shopping order of 2 items and raised me from 94 to 95. I just want to get to Pro-Shopper. This is my last hope at Doordash. I don't live in a very well-paying area and I lost platinum status because I wasn't taking horrible offers. Pro-Shopper is my only opportunity to make decent money and they're not giving it to me no matter how hard I work. I guess time will tell...

My Biggest Dilemma in Doordash. Desperately Wanting Suggestions

Here in Northeast Ohio, I have a big dilemma that's been stressing me out; Staying platinum status or letting it go for possible better offers. When I'm platinum, I, of course get access to high paying offers, but on the other side, I need to accept offers that are just fine or are just flat out not worth it just to keep my rating up. I need, NEED to hit decline on some of those bad offers, and they even come up in good areas. When I decline these offers, my AR% drops and if it happens too many times, I dip below70% again. I was once at 82 and had to decline 3 bad offers in a row. Such a shame.

When I dropped back down to silver, I accepted nearly every single offer to get back up to platinum. And man, it was a horrible experience. I was working for scraps. It was not fun, especially not in Akron, Ohio. I reached platinum again and made way more money than when I was accepting nearly every offer during silver.

My brother said he made over a hundred dollars in 3 hours on the 4th of July but his AR rating dropped from 85 to 74. You can't make a really good wage without cherry-picking, this is undeniably the truth.

So, the question is, should I let my AR% drop as low as it wants to be so I can continue to cherry pick and maybe get higher paying offers, or do I keep accepting mid offers so I can have my platinum rank for higher paying offers? I'm currently at 75%. I wish I had the point system in my area. I don't know what to do.

This platinum stuff is a curse as a blessing. I might need it but I don't know. I just want to be able to make $40-$50 in a sub-3 hour session.

DoorDash gave me an offer to a restaurant... that has been permanently closed for months.

How did they let this happen? What's wrong with their systems?

CMV: POC Unity isn't real.

As long as East Asians, Hispanics, Arabs, South Asians, and even Africans. believe in the racial hierarchy, adopt it, and see whites as superior, their cultures remain largely colorist, and POC unity cannot happen. One major barrier is that colorism persist in these cultures: It's too common to see dark skin as unworthy, while valuing and desiring light skin as ideal. Popular media and beauty standards are known to cater toward the fair-skinned—which isn't bad in itself—but it almost always comes with the demonization of dark skin.

There can be certain people and communities that are unified, which is good, but for the most part? As long as they believe, consciously and subconsciously, in racial hierarchy, the same one that can install internalized racism, and hold on to the same rhetoric that colonial powers push, there will be no solidarity between those placed as inferior; it's kind of like mind-control.

As long as certain races love being the model minority, have internalized racism, remain colorist in their media, and co-opt the discrimination of Black people, they uphold the concept of race, and defeat any chance of real unity.

So, TL;DR: Because they haven’t rejected the idea of racial hierarchy, adopt internalized racism, uphold colorism, and colonial narratives, POC solidarity is, in large part, not real.

got "declined"

today was my first time shooting my shot with a girl who asked me about esports,

since i was wearing an esports shirt.

she said she'd be able to beat me in mario kart.

i asked her for her ig, showing her my phone for her to type it in. this was after i asked if she had a nintendo switch.

(so that we could play sometime)

she declined, said she doesn't play it that much,

i said that's fine, said bye to her and left

it sucks ngl i rarely ever shoot my shot and it sucks that i did and it went nowhere :/

idk if i did anything wrong or came off creepy i just wanted to maybe play the game sometime.

oh well

couple minutes later i believe i said, "I tried, God."

The Powers That B (First Impressions

Death Grips 2015, The powers that B

Side A (NOTM) i can describe as uh... audibly incoherent. that's all i can really say. i like experimental rap; but this was overwhelming for the majority of the project

from the drums, the vocal chops from bjork, the lyrics

its all incoherent no clear structure

which isn't bad but is really hard to get onto

idk what to think on the first listen

imma have to give it a 6.5/10 for now but say hey kid has grown on me as of now

now side B (Jenny Death) is better for me and more put together for me

on gp is an amazing song and the over structure of the album is clearer, i also like WABGL

so side b gets a 7/10 so far

overall this is probably death grips most abrasive and brutal project even more than bottomless pit, as that project was chaotic but this is more sonically offensive imo

i have listened to death grips' money store and bottomless pit so far and im still putting bottomless pit as the top so far
