Site for good psychiatrists?

Hi all,

I want to get officially diagnosed for PMDD and AuDHD.

There are 5 female psychiatrists in my network and am wondering if there is a site for women like us, that have reviews on dependable and helpful doctors so that I can look them up?

I'm open to men too but have found most female doctors are more helpful and sensitive to my needs.

I also don't want to be misdiagnosed or ignored...

Bought a refurbished laptop

I bought a laptop and just noticed the part where it shows 80% battery health.

When would be the recommended time frame to change the battery?

Laptop specs in image.

I dont feel like myself

I was in a very abusive and emotionally manipulative relationship about 3 years ago...

I feel like I will never be the same.

I only feel like my old self when nostalgia comes back to me, things that made me happy before I wver had a relationship with a man (before my 20s).

Does anyone else only feel happy or themselves when you see or remember things from college, teens, or childhood?

Im not sure if Im still experiencing ptsd or its perimeno/pmdd??

Needing some support

Hey all!

I got accepted into a medical program and I'm in the US, so it will cost me 60k for the full program.

I'm not an undergraduate and have a couple degrees already, so no grants for me.

I'm hoping I don't f*ck this up. I feel like even though I went to school already for business and IT, I'm nervous this medical program won't work out too.

Im also going to try and get diagnosed soon to request accommodations when it gets more demanding.

The reason I applied is because another audhd woman is in radiology and she recommended it. I'm pursuing sonography since I can travel and its also in demand.

I guess my main issue is self-sabatoge... I used to be more confident but after a lot of disappointments in life, I'm not as confident or mentally strong as I used to be...

I guess if you can be positive and help me psych myself up, it would be helpful. I have a few gen-ed classes to complete this year but next year it gets more intense.

Laptop recs?

I tried looking for a deAmazon sub but its inactive (last post was 1 year ago).

I've had my dell laptop since 2020 and its a refurb that I bought from Amazon.

I had to change the OS to Linux a few months ago since Windows was no longer compatible.

Its not powering on now, so I think its time for a new laptop. I will be starting classes in a week, so I'll be using it for email and probably assignments.

Where do you all recommend shopping? Just Best Buy or is there a company I should support?

Manipulative people

Has anyone noticed that the most manipulative people tend to always be married or codependent?

I have relatives that are within the same immediate family that have a narcissistic mother, the dad was the enabler and the children followed the scapegoat and golden child roles.

My cousins always had boyfriends. The oldest cousin, the son, told me to be with someone I didn't really like so I wouldn't get hurt. He was with a woman who he wasn't really committed to, this was over 10 years ago and they're still together....

I could never do that to someone.

The other siblings (two daughters) had kids but were in long time marriages with men who had issues. One is finally divorcing - her kids (young adults now) are all in relationships...

I have never been in a long term relationship... I just can't settle with someone. I had one healthy relationship but after a while we wanted different things. I met him again recently and he changed so much. If we had gotten married when he wanted, I know for sure, we'd be divorced by now.

Best hairtype for microlocs?

I have very coarse, dense, frizzy, and thick hair.

Its not coily but a mix of 3b and 3c.

I would hate to spend several hours and a lot of money getting my hair done to find out it doesn't work for my hair.

Does anyone have similar hair or should I just get a smoothing treatment?

I screamed...

I'm usually calm and composed but I'm so stressed.

I fucked up my auto insurance for the past 6 months, a car I have not had for 2 years was insured...

I also have an assessment for a job that doesn't even pay well that had complicated questions. Then there's 2 other tests in front of managers.

I just feel like my life is getting harder than easier as I age.

This is kind of a vent but am also open to advice or shared experiences and help/kindness if anyone reads this and feels like responding.

Thank you 🙏

Principles of Physics

I'm a millenial and never took physics 😅

I have a principles of physics class coming up in July and want to prepare for it. I prefer video and visual learning.

Does anyone have recommendations on learning and studying so that I have a great understanding and will hopefully ace this class?

Thank you!

Looking for a cf astrology match. 41F from USA, open to LDR #anywhere

Trying something different for anyone interested in astrology/synastry 🌌✨️

Comment or dm me if you have any of these placements and are between 33 - 51.

Moon: Taurus, Scorpio, Pisces

Venus: Leo, Sagittarius, Aquarius

Mars: Libra, Aquarius, Sagittarius

I just want to see if I actually clique with someone with a combo of these placements or not.

I'm also a brown biracial woman, just FYI if that's not your type.

Is there an astrology dating sub?

I'm in a childfree dating sub and am wondering if there is one for astrology/synastry??

I searched and couldn't find anything on reddit.

Ideally I want to make a post of the moon/venus/Mars combos I'm looking for that would be compatible with mine.

Please let me know if there's anything out there.

Paying for school

I was accepted to a private sonography medical school. I applied thinking I would likely not get in since they only take 22 seats.

Surprisingly, I was accepted. I already have 2 bachelor's degrees so sadly I can only rely on loans which I don't want. The program is also much more expensive than I thought, even with a few classes completed I still owe them 60k....

I don't have a full schedule until January, but I will owe about 2000 a month. They haven't even told me my schedule yet which is upsetting me. They just told me how much I owe and if I'm enrolled.

They are also short staffed, and classed start in July for me. I will only have two online classes but I dont know what happens after that.

I have not been diagnosed so I dont have the documentation to request accommodations but I'm worried.

I read that another moment here loved being in radiology but I'm really anxious about the cost.

Accepted but curious about schedule

I was accepted to the general sonography program in Fresno. Is anyone a current student or have more info about the schedule?

The school reps keep asking me if I'm enrolling and financial aid informed me I will be paying 60k but no one has told me how long the classes are.

I have to take anatomy and physics which will be starting in July but is that it until January?

There is one person out on an extended vacation so it seems the staff is too busy to respond.

This school is much different than other schools I attended and much more expensive so I just want to know exactly what I'm getting into, especially as far as payments.

I will not have grants since I have degrees already, so my only options are scholarships, loans, and paying out of pocket.

Gurnick Fresno Ultrasounf

Did anyone else get accepted to the general ultrasound program that starts in July?

I have most of my GED completed and am confused about the class schedule for the quarter.

The 1st quarter goes from July - March.

Let me know if anyone had more information. I contacted the covering admission rep but haven't heard back yet.

Recommendations for better bank?

https://www.reddit.com/r/Chase/s/SrZ4eF8JOo

Saw this post after having a terrible call with the fraud department.

I don't trust Chase anymore. Ideally I would like customer service and the fraud/claims dept to be in the US, not outsourced.

UPDATE: I called the regular customer service line and a US rep answered.

The International reps that answered were likely working late night at the time I called and the US rep also said there might be language barriers.

When I had asked the initial rep to transfer me to a US location, he stated he couldn't (Yes, they can). I informed the US rep about this and she admitted that they probably didn't know how...

She updated my settings to only go to US reps when I call.

I interviewed in April for the General sonography program thats starting in July in Central, CA.

They still have not made their final decisions.

I called and sent an email before last weekend and they replied this morning.
