minoxidil pills
hey, I have a cat so I don't want to run the risk of using the liquid/foam minoxidil, is there a place online to get it in pill form or does it have to be a prescription?

I'm 8 hours into a 11 hr shift rn and I wanna jump out of my skin I'm so angry. People have been openly transphobic and ignorant to me all fucking day for no reason. One lady wasn't happy with an answer I gave her and she started very obviously purposely misgendering me. My last straw wasn't even that bad but I helped a guy and then he asked me "Are you a dude?" in such a rude tone. It sucks because I've been on t for 3 years and I dress very masculine, took out my piercings and such. Also in a very stereotypically male job.
Being trans is so embarrassing dude especially when you have a public facing job. I'm not trying to get attention I just wanna live my life like any other dude but it feels like being trans just opens me up to people being so fucking rude. The worst part is I'm in a pretty liberal city but people are just dumb asf.
just recently started fully passing and started a new job and I'm stealth there. Vast majority of my coworkers are dudes. Although it's a blue collar job, it's not physically intense so most people working it aren't the stereotypical manly dudes, they're just everyday guys. this is the first experience I've had where cis men are talking to me about women in a way I've never seen before. before t I obviously got the other end of it, but damn they are way worse when no women are within earshot. Just had a coworker say in full confidence that "bitches are never rational and never take accountability" in his own flowery words. He also said that white women start acting black after they have "black inside them" and did some gross movements. I've also had other coworkers sexualize women around us when they aren't listening.
It doesn't upset me or anything its just a wild new point of few to see of cis guys. The best I can do is tell them my perspective without outting myself. Sometimes being trans is so weird.
Just got a new gaurd job where you sit at a post for long hours. Not allowed to be on phone/laptop or have earbuds in. Seems like some people bring a pen and paper, no books from what I can tell. How do yall entertain yourself on a shift like this?
hey, I'm a 20M and my fiancé and I moved here in January. We're home bodies so neither of us has made any friends yet. Would love some friends to hangout w, any gender is fine. I like books, houseplants, and like football but am not very knowledgeable on it haha. Need to be chill with queer people. Dm me!
Possible TW for mentions of pregnancy/fertility and general conservative craziness?
I'm not upset about this as she is a cousin I do not have much of a relationship with, but I just thought yall might find a quote from the letter I got today entertaining. she clearly has been listening to a lot of fox news when it comes to the longterm effects of t.
"Christ and the church call upon those who experience the struggles of gender confusion or dysphoria to realize the gift of their own bodies and not reject it through the use of cross-sex hormones, "gender-altering" surgeries, or other body altering means. God loves you right now, as you are. God did not make a mistake when He created you. God wants you to honor and care for the body he gave you. Cross-sex hormones can have irreversible effects on the body (such as infertility.) They can also cause people to experience increased anxiety and depression when the initial "satisfaction" of the change wears off over time."
The rest of the letter was a lot about how I should embrace my femininity and have babies because God calls us to be fruitful and multiply and he made me have a womb or some shit. She was also talking about how I might think my fiance (a woman 🤯) is good for me now but thats actually just the devil tempting me to live in mortal sin. She wanted me to reach out to ask her advice and at the end of the letter, included some "resources" for conversion therapy and the title of a book about the harms of hrt. Fun times here in the big ol' US of A.
hi! my fiance and I are keeping our eyes open for a cat to adopt within the next few months. we firmly believe in adopt don't shop, so if you're a breeder, please don't reach out. we are going to keep an eye on the local rescue pages and see if a cat speaks to us, but I just thought I'd put this out here in case someone needs to rehome a cat within the next few months. we have a safe, clean home with no other pets and my fiance works part time so she is home often, and I am home every evening and on weekends. we are home bodies so they would get plenty of attention, and we will be buying cat toys/towers/food/litter/etc in advance. I have had cats most of my life and have been a petsitter for years, so I know how to care for them. probably too much info but just wanted to be thorough!
Edit: thank you so much everyone for posting resources! my partner and I really appreciate it and will make sure to utilize them over the next few months in the process of finding our kitty.
Hey! I am proposing this weekend, and I would love if someone could DM me to make sure my kneel looks right, I took a video. I've seen a lot of dudes online look dorky as hell because they don't kneel correctly!
this is what life is all about
hey, I'm a college student in need of a side hustle and I used to pet and babysit in my hometown. I just moved to a new city and would like to get started, but I don't know what's the best route to take. I really dont have the money to pay for the apps that get your name out there.
Hey! I am a college student who does dog sitting part time. I recently was asked to dog sit for a family who is moving into town soon, but their dog is arriving the day before them. They are mailing me a check so that I can get necessary supplies for the dog before it arrives. The thing is, the check won't clear before the dog arrives due to timing, and I don't have the money to waste if I get the supplies and then the check doesn't clear. Because I've never met these people, I was wondering if I'd be able to call the bank the check is coming from once it arrives to see if its legit? Let me know, thank you!
hey, my partner and I moved into our apartment a few months back and we have a basement but its extremely creepy so we don't really use it. it has laundry hookups but we dont have a washer or dryer yet. Today I went down there to use it as storage and noticed that there is a lot of soap bubbles in the sink? I know for a fact neither of us have been down here. Is there a chance someone's shower or washer backs up into our basement sink?
I'm a college student in Pittsburgh and having to care for my grandfather after losing my grandma has cost me hours at work, and I will be $300 short on rent at the end of this month. I am not able to donate plasma due to health issues. Because of advice by other users I have started a gofundme, so here is the link for that. Please consider donating. I am doing what I can, picking up extra hours, putting myself out there for babysitting and housework locally. I have no one else to ask. I appreciate this community!
hey, my situation just changed drastically and I'm going to be short on rent this month so I could really use some help in the form of $200. I'm a college student in Pittsburgh and I work as much as I can, I can't donate plasma atm due to a health issue, and I have to take at least a week off work to go help my grandfather who is ill. I have exhausted all of my options, applying to cash assistance programs with no luck.
I live with my partner and I pay rent to her through venmo as it is her lease that I will be joining ASAP. I have been working a lot and I'm even borrowing money from my sister but I'm still going to be $200 short. I could just really use some help. Whatever payment method you are comfortable with is fine.
I'm a college student and I had taken a new part-time job recently but my situation just drastically changed and I'm going to have to turn in my two weeks soon. A family member of mine is terminally ill and I need to help care for them in Erie. I have to be able to travel to Erie as much as possible this summer to help them, while still making it back for mid-week classes (all my others are online luckily.)
That being said, I still need to afford rent. I share expenses with my partner so luckily my portion of rent and utilities are MAX $650 a month. Just applied for SNAP so hopefully groceries will not be such a financial burden soon.
I just need advice on how to still earn some money this summer while traveling so much. I am an amateur artist so I'm gonna try and do some vending at markets. I also put my name out for pet/home sitting, lawn care, etc in Erie, just not sure how to do that in Pittsburgh but would love some advice. Gonna "donate" plasma soon. I'll probably grab a few shifts at my old job in Erie too if they'll have me. Going to work at my current job for May and turn in my 2 weeks going into June and save as much as possible, and then after that I'll have to make things work for at least the rest of summer.
I live in the Perry North area and take public transit if thats helpful. I can very easily get to Northside, Downtown, and McKnight Rd (new to Pittsburgh so excuse my buffoonery)
TLDR: Need advice on what kind of gig work a college student could look for in Pittsburgh on short term notice
